WARNING
This log set kit shall be installed by a qualified service agency in accordance with
the manufacturer’s instructions and all a licable codes and requirements of the
Authority Having Jurisdiction. If the information in these instructions is not
followed exactly, a fire, ex losion or roduction of carbon monoxide may result
causing ro erty damage, ersonal injury or loss of life. The qualified service
agency is res onsible for the ro er installation of this kit. The installation is not
ro er and com lete until the o eration of the converted a liance is checked as
s ecified in the manufacturer’s instructions su lied with the kit.

LOG SET INSTALLATION
Kit Contents:
•(4) Ceramic Logs
•(5) Ceramic Rocks
•1lb 3oz Lava Rock
•Metal Logset burner
Step #1
Your fire lace will have shi ed from the factory with the
Glass Media burner in lace, before installing the logset
burner, we need to remove the glass burner. The burner is
held in lace by 6 sheet metal screws, 2 on the left, 2 in the
center, and 2 on the right. Figure 01 shows 2 screws on the
left under side of the firebox, remove these screws. Kee
these screws in a safe lace as they will be needed to
install the Logset burner.
Step #2
Figure 02 shows the 2 screws in the center underside of the
firebox, remove these screws. Kee these screws in a safe
lace as they will be needed to install the Logset burner.
Step #3
Figure 03 shows the 2 screws on the right underside of the
firebox, remove these screws. Kee these screws in a safe
lace as they will be needed to install the Logset burner.

Step #4
To remove the burner from the fire lace, slide the entire assembly to the right before lifting u to
remove as shown in figure 04.
Step #5
Once the glass media burner has been removed, locate the Logset burner included in the kit LGS-46 as
shown in figure 05.
NOTE:
The logset burner can be configured for either Natural Gas or Pro ane by installing or removing
a collar on the burner venturi. Figure 06 shows the venturi inlet with the collar installed on a burner
configured for Natural Gas. Figure 07 shows the venturi inlet with the collar removed from a burner
configured for Pro ane. THIS VENTURI IS NOT ADJUSTABLE. If you need to convert your burner
from Pro ane to Natural Gas or vice-versa, lease order the a ro riate conversion kit for your
a liance.

Step #6
Install the logset burner within the firebox by lowering the burner into the firebox (while kee ing the
burner ressed toward the right side of the firebox) then sliding the burner left towards the center of the
firebox to engage the burner orifice as shown in figure 08. Confirm that the burner inlet tube has
engaged the burner orifice.
Step #7
Secure the burner using the (6) #10 sheet metal screws set aside from ste s 1-3.
Step #8
Install the 3-rock cluster on the 2 ins
located just right of the ilot. (Figure
09)
Step #9
Install the center birch log by lacing
the left side of the log on the locating
in left of the ilot. The right side of
the log will rest on to of the 3-rock
cluster, rotate the log so it gently
touches the rear enamel anel of the
firebox. (Figure 10)

Step #1
Install the second, smaller, 3-rock cluster on the
in located right of 3-rock cluster installed
during ste #8. Once the 3-rock cluster is sitting
on the in, rotate clockwise until the lower left
rock touches the rear edge of the burner.
(Figure 11)
Step #11
Install the right-hand birch log by lacing the
left side of the log on the 3-rock cluster
installed in ste #10. A groove on the underside
of the log which engages with the leading edge
of the burner. The right side of the log will rest
against the right enamel anel within the
firebox. (Figure 12)
Step #12
Install the single rock on the 2 ins located on
the far left of the burner to . The log-locating
tab on to of the rock should be toward the
back of the burner. (Figure 13)

Step #13
Between the rock installed during ste #12 and
the center birch log are 4 ins located in close
roximity to each other. Place the first of the 2
individual rocks on the left set of ins. Look for
a ga between the front of the rock and the
leading edge of the burner, if the rock
overhangs the front of the burner the incorrect
rock has been used. (Figure 14)
Step #14
Place the second of the 2 individual rocks on the
right set of ins as shown in figure 15. The
second rock should overhang the back of the
burner. The second rock will overhang the rear
of the burner, nearly contacting the rear enamel
anel.
Step #15
Between the rock installed during ste #12 and
the air of rocks installed during ste s #13 and
#14, are 2 ins. The “Y” sha ed log has 2 holes
on its underside that corres ond with these 2
ins. The right side of the log will rest on the air
of logs as shown in figure 16.

Step #16
Evenly distribute the included 1lb and 3oz of
lava rock on the ex osed burner to . Cover the
burner to com letely but do not com ress or
“ ack” the lava rock tightly. Pay s ecial
attention to tight and hard to reach areas when
lacing the media on the burner. It is ok if small
amounts of lava rock are lost over the edge of
the burner. (Figures 17 & 18)
Step #17
Using the log-locating tab on the single rock on
the left side of the burner, rest the small birch
log on the rock and “Y” sha ed log while
aligning it with the leading edge of the burner as
shown in figure 19.

assembly and lighting of the appliance.
