The Somfy Connect™ Universal Automation Interface (UAI) offers a single point of communication between third
party automation systems and Somfy motorized shading systems. It is compatible with Somfy’s Application
Programming Interface (API) which makes it easy to integrate custom automation programming. Only one Somfy
Connect™ UAI is required per system, and can be used with both Radio Technology Somfy® (RTS)* and Somfy
Digital Network (SDN) installations.
The Somfy Connect™ product line expands the functionality of Somfy motorization systems, providing a communication gateway for Radio Technology
Somfy® (RTS) and Somfy Digital Network (SDN) systems to easily integrate with third party control systems in both residential and commercial jobsites.

SDN
The Somfy Connect™ UAI joins a SDN network using RS485
to any device port on the SDN bus. This connection provides
power and data.
RTS
The Somfy Connect™ UAI requires a Universal RTS
Interface(URTSI) to transmit RTS commands. Connect to
the URTSI using RS485. Additional range and channels can
be added by daisy-chaining, and using their second RS485
connection.
