1) Water / Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used near
water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
2) Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or
other appliances that produce heat. Don not use it when maximum ambient tempera-
ture is higher than 40°C.
3) Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always
install according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4) Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.
5) Power Cord and Plug
Protect power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat the safety
purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two poles; a
grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third prong is
provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet, refer to an
electrician for replacement.
6) Power Supply
The apparatus should be connected to the power supply only of the type as marked on
the apparatus or described in the manual. Failure to do could result in damage to the
product and possibly the user. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
7) DMX connection
When use DMX controller, please make sure that there is no interference sources (e.g.
intercom, high frequency radio waves and radiation source).
8) Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzene or alcohol.
9) Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual. Refer
all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/attachments or
parts recommended by the manufacturer.

1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing our LIGHTBLASTER 1200 CMZ. Enjoy your new equipment
and make sure to read this manual carefully before operation.
This user manual is made to provide both an overview of controls, as well as informa-
tion on how to use them.
1.1. Unpacking
Your LIGHTBLASTER 1200 CMZ was carefully packed to ensure safe transport. Despite
this, we recommend you to carefully examine the package and its contents for any
signs of physical damage, which can occur during transport. Each unit has the following
parts:

ATTENTION: Packaging cartons are not a toys! Keep out of reach of chil-
dren!!! Keep in a safe place the original packaging material for future use.
If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep the
packing material for inspection. Again, please save the carton and all packing materials.
If the xture must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that it is returned in
the original manufacturer box and packing. Please do not take any action without rst
contacting us.

2. OVERVIEW
LGIHTBLASTER 1200 CMZ is a LED strobe light designed for outdoor applications
where, in addition to power and safety, also versatility is important. The light source
is based on 1200 RGBW 4in1 high brightness LEDs. The emission surface is split into 5
independent zones. It is possible to control the individual colors of each zone via DMX,
or to simplify the number of channels in cases of use as a simple strobe or wash xture.
The die-cast aluminum housing is waterproof, and assures IP65 degree of protection
for outdoor use. The LIGHTBLASTER 1200 CMZ is noiseless, thanks to the convection
cooling system. It is specically designed for both indoor and outdoor silent envi-
ronments, like theatres or live stages with classical/jazz music. The adjustable bracket
allows the use with truss. Waterproof Input and Output connections ensure maximum
safety in any environment.

4. INSTALLATION
SOUNDSATION LIGHTBLASTER 1200 CMZ can be installed on the oor, on the wall,
ceiling or on a truss.
WARNINGS:
A. It’s required the use of a safety wire (LW3-76A or LW4-76A sold separately) and
truss adapters ( SLH/SQC Series sold separately) if the product is hanging on a
wall, ceiling or on a truss.
B. Never leave the product swinging freely.
C. If the product is hanging on a wall, a ceiling or a truss, make sure that the
installation gear and / or the truss can hold a minimum load of 10 times the
weight of the device.

5. MAINS CONNECTIONS
Connect the device to the mains with the supplied power cord. When connecting the
power supply, please check that the supply voltage and frequency are the same as
indicated for the device. The correspondence of the wires is as follows:

The earth must to be connected! Pay attention to the safety! Before taking
into operation for the rst time, the installation has to be approved by an
expert.
6. DMX CONNECTION
DMX xtures are designed to receive data through a serial Daisy Chain. A Daisy Chain
connection is where the DATA OUT of one xture connects to the DATA IN of the next
xture. The order in which the xtures are connected is not important and has no eect
on how a controller communicates to each xture. Use an order that provides for the
easiest and most direct cabling.

Connect xtures using shielded 2-conductor twisted pair cable with 3-pin XLR male to
female connectors. The shield connection is pin 1, while pin 2 is Data Negative (S-), and
pin 3 is Data positive (S+).
CAUTION: Wires must not come into contact with each other; otherwise the
xtures will not work at all, or will not work properly.
6.1. DMX Terminator
DMX is a resilient communication protocol, however errors still occasionally occur.
In order to prevent electrical noise from disturbing and corrupting the DMX control

signals, a good habit is to connect DMX output of last xture in the chain to a DMX
terminator, especially over long signal cable runs.
The DMX terminator is simply an XLR connector with a 120Ω (ohm), 1/4 Watt resistor
connected across Signal (-) and Signal (+), respectively, pins 2 and 3, which is then
plugged into the output socket on last projector in the chain. The connections are
illustrated below.

Complimentary signal cable can transmits signals to 20 unit xtures at most.
Signal amplier is a must to connect more xtures.

After the bundled cable connection, plug the power-cord into an AC socket properly
congured for your particular model.
3) CONTROL PANEL
This panel section has a 4x7 Segments display and 4 buttons to control all the device
functions.
4) POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT PLUG
Power output socket for power supply to additional SOUNDSATION lights. Ensure that
the total current consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the value spec-
ied on the device in amperes (A).

1) Menu/ESC Button
This button allows to put in stand-by the control panel and to escape from a selected
function without any saving.
2) UP Button
Using this button, it is possible to scroll-up the device’s functions and increase the
function’s value.
3) DOWN Button
Using this button, it is possible to scroll-down the device’s functions and decrease the
function’s value.
4) ENTER Button
This button allows to save a new function’s value.
5) 4 x 7 SEGMENTS display
It shows the current function’s name or function’s value.

8.1. FUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION
All the LIGHTBLASTER 1200 CMZ functions are selectable by using the UP BUTTON and
DOWN BUTTON on the Control Panel as described in “7.1. Control Panel” on page 11.
Below is an explanation of the device’s functions.
1) DMX CHANNEL SELECTION
After the selection of function, by pressing ENTER button, it is possible to
select the desired DMX Channel in order to manage the device using a DMX controller.
Once the channel is selected, press the ENTER button to conrm the value.
The range of this parameter is A001 -> A512
2) RUN MODE SELECTION
After the selection of function, by pressing ENTER button, it is possible to
select the device Run Mode by using the [UP] and/or [DOWN] buttons:
- AUTO Mode: The device automatically run according to built-in program.
The display shows .
- SOUND Mode: If the Sound Mode is selected and the integrated micro-
phone detects sounds, the device will run automatically
according to the built-in program. The display shows
.
- SLAVE Mode: Using this mode, it is possible to connect several units togeth
er and operate them in synchronized mode.
Use DMX cables to connect two or more units together from
the DMX OUT connector to the DMX IN connector.
The rst unit is MASTER and all the connected units must be
set as SLAVE. The display shows .
Set the Master unit in AUTO Mode or SOUND Mode to
operate the entire system. The entire chain of Slave units will
act as the Master unit.
3) DMX CHANNELS NUMBER CONFIGURATION
LIGHTBLASTER 1200 CMZ can be congured with two channel modes in order to be
managed by a DMX controller. The function that allows the selection of the mode is
. The two possible modes are 7Ch and 18Ch. Press the ENTER button to
conrm the selected mode.
Note: If the device is not connected to a DMX control unit, the main screen
will ash. By pressing the [ENTER] button, the device will access the
main menu.

4) TOOL Menu
This menu contains some utility functions for using the device. The display shows
. Pressing the [ENTER] button accesses the list of Functions that can be select-
ed using the [UP]/ [DOWN] buttons and then, by pressing the [ENTER] button again.
White balance adjustment
This submenu contains the parameters related to the colors balance
- White balance switch:
This parameter can be On or O. The white balance function menu is only
available when you set On. When you set O, it is not available.
The default setting is O. The parameter name on the display is .
Use the [UP]/[DOWN] buttons to set On or O and then press the [ENTER]
button to conrm the setting.
- Red, Green, Blue, White:
These parameters are used to adjust the RGBW colors brightness from dark
to bright. The range of these parameters is 50 ÷255 and the default value
is 255. Using the [UP]/[DOWN] buttons again increases/decreases the value.
Press the [ENTER] button to conrm the change. Press the [MENU/ESC]
button to exit the change without modication.

Non-Signal Reset
This parameter can be On or O. The parameter name on the display is .
The default setting is O.
- On:
When this parameter is set to On, it means the lights stay working and
signal remains even when the signal cables between controller and xture
is disconnected.
- O:
When this parameter is set to O, it means all the signal will be cleared and
light will be o when the signal between controller and xture is disconnect
ed.
Default Setting
This parameter can be On or O. The parameter name on the display is .
When this parameter is set to On, the device restore default settings only in this sub-
menu.
5) Manual Mode
This function allows the setting of all device parameters. The display shows .
Pressing the [ENTER] button accesses the list of parameters that can be selected using

the [UP]/ DOWN] buttons and then, by pressing the [ENTER] button again, the selected
parameter can be modied. Using the [UP]/[DOWN] buttons again increases/decreases
the value. Press the [ENTER] button to conrm the change. Press the [MENU/ESC] but-

6) DEVICE INFORMATION

- Device Usage Time : The usage time in hours is displayed.
- Device Sostware Version : The software version of the device is
shown on the display.
- Device Temperature :By selecting this option, the internal
temperature in degrees of the device is
shown.
7) RESET
This parameter can be On or O. The parameter name on the display is .
When this parameter is set to On, the device is reset.
Note: During parameter settings, if no operations are performed within 30
seconds, the device will return to display the rst function of the main
menu (DMX Address ).
