POS901 printerisonenewtype professionalforkitchen, whichhasthedust,
waterandinsectprooffunction.Itfeaturesinfastprinting-speed,low
printing-noise,highreliabilityand ribbon needless,whichavoidthe vexation of
regularmaintenance.
POS901printer:smallinoutlinedimension,simpleoperationandflexible
installingmethod.Usercan choosetheinstallingmethodaccordingtotheir

Therearetwobuttons,oneinnerbuzzerand threeindicatorsonPOS901
printer.
【MODE】Self-testbutton.Press thebuttonovertwosecondstoprintthe
self-test of printer.
【FEED】Paper-feeding button.Thefunctionstatuson/offofthisbuttoncan
be setbyprintcommand.Duringthe fuction ofthisbutton ison,paperfeeds
intotheprinterwhen the【FEED】buttonispressed;whilepaperstopsfeeding
intothe printerwhen thebuttonisloosen.
BUZZER isused toindicatetheerrorstatusand papercutting. Thefunction of
buzzercan besettoerroralarm,papercuttingindicatingorbothavailable

throughthesettingofprintcommand.Errorstatustype issamewithERROR
indicator.
GreenPOWERindicator ispowerindicator.When POWERindicatorislight, it
meansthe printerison.
RedPAPEROUTindicator ispaperstatusindicator. Indicatorlightmeansthe
printerisout ofpaper.
RedERRORindicator iserrorstatusindicator.When theprinterisinnormal
workingstatus,redERRORindicatorisoff.Iftheindicatorflickers,itis
abnormalstatusalarm;whilethe indicatorispersistantlighting,itmeansthe
papercasecoverisopen when the printerisnotprinting.
If the ERRORindicatorflickersandthebuzzersound, itmeansthereiserrorin
printer.
Accordingtothedifferentflickertype,thedifferenterrortypesareasbelow,

2.Recoverableerror,thetimesofindicatorflickeringandbuzzersounding
meanthe errortype, then persistentindicator-off.
3.Auto-recoverableerror,the indicatorflickersand the buzzersounds
persistently.
4.Paperout, PAPEROUTindicatorlightsand the buzzersoundspersistently.
When thepapercasecoverisopen,whetherthepaperisout ornotwill not
be tested, but just testingwhetherthereispaperinprinter.
Thedetailsareasbelow,

2.5Self-test
Theself-testwill testwhetherthe printerisworkingnormally.Ifthe printercan
printthe self-testreceiptcorrectly,itmeansthe printerisinnormalcondition
excepttheinterfacewiththe host;otherwise,theprinterwill needtobe
repaired.
Theself-testwill printout: Softwareversion,Manufacturername,Printermodel,
Interfacetype and parameter,Defaultvalue ofeachparameter,96 characters
inASCII code,Defaultcodepagecontent(Language issettoEnglish)or
Chinesecharacterlibraryname(Languageisset toChinese), Barcode type.
Theself-testmethod:Aftertheprinterispoweron andinstandbystatus,hold
down【MODE】button over2seconds.At thistime,the printerwill printself-test
receipt.
2.6Otherworking modeofprinter
Besidesthe normalprintingmode,therearealsootherworkingmodesof
printer hexadecimalprinting,parameterssetting,softwareupgrading,default
IPaddress recovering,etc.Themethod of enteringotherworkingmodesisas
below:
When the printerisoff,openpapercasecoverfirstly,holddown 【FEED】
button and turnonthe printerpower.Then press 【FEED】button.The timesof
pressing【FEED】buttonwilldecide theworkingmode the printerwill enterinto.
Theflickeringtimesofred PAPEROUTindicatorwill showthe timesof
pressing【FEED】button.Closethe papercasecoverand the printerentersinto
the relatedworkingmode.

2.6.1HexadecimalPrinting
Turnontheprinteraccordingtothe stepsbelow, it will enterintothemodelof
HexadecimalPrinting.

2.Holddown【FEED】button, turnonthepower
3.Closethepapercasecover
HexadecimalDump
Toterminatehexadecimaldump,
Press FEEDbutton three times.
Theabovemeansthatthe printerenteredintohexadecimalprintingmode.
Underthismode,all thereceived datawill be printed outinhexadecimal
numbers.Pressing【FEED】buttononce, thepaperfeedingone line.When
3timesarefinished, theprinterwill print “*** Completed ***”.The printerquit
hexadecimalprintingmode.
2.6.2Printerparameterssetting
Thisfunction isusedtoset somesimpleparametersofprinter.
Themethod ofentering intothe parameterssettingisasbelow,

button andturnontheprinterpower.Afterthe statusindicatorand PAPER
OUTindicatorflickeralternately,loosen 【FEED】button.Thenpress【FEED】
button twiceand closethepapercasecover.Theprinterentersinto
parameterssettingmode,printsoutthefirstsettingavailableitemandits
currentvalue.Beforclosingpapercasecover,theflickeringtimesofPAPER
outindicatormeansthetimesofpressing【FEED】button.Aboutthedetailed
settingmethod,plscheck AppendixA.
Themethod ofquit theparameterssetting: Open the papercasecoverfirstly
and holddown【FEED】button.Thenclosethe papercasecoverand loosen
【FEED】button.SavethesettedparametersandquitParametersSetting
Mode.Enteringintonormalworkingmode.
If theprinterispoweredoffdirectly, thesettedparameterscan not be saved.
2.6.3Entering SoftwareUpgrading Mode
Thesoftwareofthisprintercanbe upgradedonline.ByEthernetinterface,the
printercanbe upgradedthroughwebsitesoftwarewhen theprinterisinnormal
workingmodeorupgradingmode.IfbyUSB interface,the printermustbe
upgraded throughspecialupgradingsoftwarewhen the printerisinupgrading
mode.The specialupgradingsoftwarecan bedownloadedfromourcompany
website.
Themethodofupgradingthroughwebsitesoftwareand web page:InputIP
address inthe addressbarofbrowserand operateaccordingtothe indications
on web page.Ifenteringupgradingmodethroughquick method,plsusethe

Themethodofquick entering:Whenthe printerisoff, openpapercasecover
firstly,holddown 【FEED】button and turnon theprinterpower.Then loosen
【FEED】button quickly.The printerentersintoSoftwareUpgrading Mode.In
thiscase, theindicatorflickersonceasecond.
Caution: thesoftwarecan be upgradedonline onlythroughEthernetorUSB
interface.
2.6.4Recovering DefaultIP Address
Ifthe IPaddress of printerisset tobeinvalidIPaddress, the printerwill be not
abletonormallyworkingthroughEthernet interface. Inthiscase, itwill need to
recoverdefaultIPaddress.
ThemethodofrecoveringdefaultIPaddress:When theprinterisoff,open
papercasecoverfirstly,holddown 【FEED】button and turnon the printer
power.Afterthestatusindicatorand PAPEROUTindicatorflickeralternately,
loosen 【FEED】button.Thenpress 【FEED】button fourtimesandclosethe
papercasecover.Theprinterwill print out thedefault IPaddress parameters.
