1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Attention! If the device was damaged in transport it should not be plugged in nor used!
Incorrect maintenance and/or use may cause serious harm to people and damage the device.
The device can only be used for the purpose for which it has been designed.
The manufacturer does not take any responsibility for damages caused by improper
maintenance or use of the device.
When in use, secure the device and its electrical plug from any contact with water or other
fluids. In case the device is accidentally dropped into water its electrical plug should be
immediately removed from the socket and the device should be inspected by a trained
professional.
Failure to obey these instructions may cause life threatening danger.
Never open the casing of the device on your own.
Do not stick any objects into the casing of the device.
Do not touch the electrical plug attached to the device with wet hands.
Check the condition of the electrical plug and cord regularly. In case any damage to the plug
or cord is discovered order repair by a specialized service provider.
In case the device is dropped or damaged otherwise, before further use always order a
check-up and repair by a specialized service provider.
Do not make any attempts to repair the device on your own –this may cause life threatening
danger.
Any attempts to modify or repair the device by any non-qualified person are prohibited.
If the electrical cord is damaged it should be replaced. The non-removable electrical cord can
only be replaced at specialized service centers or by a qualified technician.
Protect the electrical cord from contact with sharp or hot objects and keep it away from
open fire. When you disconnect the device from the electrical socket always hold the plug
and never pull the electrical cord.
Secure the electrical cord (or the extension cord), so that it is not unplugged by mistake and
so that no one can stumble over it.
Monitor functioning of the device while in use.
Use of the device by people underage, physically or mentally incapable, with motion
disorders as well as people without proper experience and knowledge regarding the use of
this device should not be allowed. All of the above should only use the device under
supervision of a person responsible for their health and safety.
When not used or during maintenance you should always unplug the device from the source
of electricity by removing the electrical plug from the socket.
ATTENTION: when the electrical plug is plugged into the socket the device is constantly live.
Switch the device off before removing the plug from the socket.
Never pull the device by the electrical cord.
In case the electrical cord is damaged it should be replaced. The non-removable electrical
cord can only be replaced at a specialized service center or by a qualified technician.
This is not a toy for children.

In case of a fracture on the surface of a heating plate disconnect the device from the source
of electricity.
After setting up this device must be clearly visible and easily accessible.
Ensure easy access to the electrical plug in case it needs to be disconnected.
2. PURPOSE OF THE DEVICE
The crepe maker is designed to fry crepes , pancakes, pies etc. Any other use of the device is
improper. This device may not be used to heat pots or pans. Do not place aluminum foil or cling film
on the heating plate.

4. STRUCTURE OF THE DEVICE
Housing of the device is made of stainless steel. Working surface of the crepe maker is made of a
3000W iron heating plate.
Depending on the chosen model there are two types of plates: iron plate or enameled iron plate.
Enamel on the 772283 model iron heating plate is meant to protect the plate from corrosion.
5. SETTING UP THE DEVICE
Crepe maker should be placed on a stable surface indoors with a disconnected power supply.
The device should be placed in such a way which will allow for quick and easy unplugging
from the electrical supply network.
This device should not be built over or placed right next to another similar device.
Placement of the device should allow access at least from the front. There should be no
flammable materials in the proximity of the device.
Ensure proper ventilation of the device. Ambient temperature should not exceed 50 °C.
In case any nearby wall is made of flammable materials (e.g. wood) distance to the device
should not be less than 50cm.
Crepe makers are equipped with a flexible electrical cord of 3x1.5 mm sq. with a plug .
Before connecting the device to a source of electricity set the power switch to “0”.
The device should be connected to a 230V@50Hz socket with a 30mA residual-current
device.
It is recommended that the device is plugged into a socket mounted on a wall. Connecting
the device through a socket where other devices are connected at the same time may cause
electrical wiring to fail.
The socket should be inspected for safety and potential threat of electric shock
Any connections or modifications of the device may only be carried out by a properly
qualified person in accordance with health and safety regulations.
6. SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
In order to prevent electric shock and burns resulting from contact with electricity follow the
safety rules below:
Provide training for employees in accordance with information included in this instruction
manual.
Provide training for employees on the basic rules regarding operating electrical devices,
health and safety in the workplace and first aid in case of emergency
Make sure the device is ready to work before switching it on.
Make sure the electrical cord is not in contact with any hot surfaces.
Unplug the device before performing any maintenance activities.
Initiating the device with any control or heating element damaged is prohibited.
Taking food of the device should only take place with the use of tools (e.g. a turner)
This device cannot be washed under running water.
Do not touch the heating plates or the housing of the device with bare hands.
Any person operating the device must have dry hands.
Any repairs of the device may only be performed by qualified technical personnel (technical
service provider)
Any person operating the device should remain cautious as hot surfaces of the device may
cause burns.
Do not leave the device on unattended. Disconnect the device from the source of electricity
when not in use.

7. OPERATING THE DEVICE
Before connecting the device to a source of electricity set the power switch to “0”.
Before first use remove protective film from the device. Wash external surfaces with the use
of water and a degreasing agent used for washing dishes. Do not use abrasive or other
substances, which could damage the surface. For cleaning use only a damp cloth. After
washing the device, allow it to dry off completely.
Do not clean the heating plate with the use of detergents as it is made of iron, which is not
corrosion resistant.
After washing the device turn the control knob to 300 °C. Allow the crepe maker to work for
+/- 20 minutes. You may notice smoke, which is released by the protective layer. This is a
normal thing to happen.
After 20 minutes of heating turn the control knob to a desired temperature in the range of
50 °C to 300 °C (an indicator will turn on) and spread a large quantity of butter or oil onto the
device. Do not allow for large quantities of fat or oil to settle on the plate as it may cause
forming of carbon on the plates. Any carbon should be removed from the plate immediately.
When temperature of the plate reaches the set value, thermostat disconnects power,
heating indicator will turn off. When temperature falls below the set value the regulator will
initiate heating and the heating indicator will turn on.
When the food is ready to be served it should be taken of the device with the use of
accessories made of wood or plastic. Metal tools should not be used in order to prevent
damage to the heating plates.
Do not touch the heating plates or the housing of the device with bare hands.
Any person operating the device must have dry hands.
The device should be heated up before use. Always heat the device up for 15 minutes before
preparing food. This way even distribution of heat on the heating plate is ensured.
Model 772283 is enameled to protect heating plate from corrosion. Damaging the enameled
surface may lead to corrosion.

ATTENTION!
Using this device to heat other things than those mentioned in this instruction manual is
prohibited. It may cause damage to the heating plates and in consequence a fire.
The device should not be moved, when the electrical cord is plugged in, working surface has not
cooled down or if there is any food on the plates.
8. MAINTENANCE
Before the beginning of any maintenance activities disconnect the device from the source of
electricity.
Do not use water with detergents to clean heating plates as they are made of iron, which is not
resistant to corrosion.
When not in use heating plates should be covered with vegetable oil to protect it from corrosion.
Daily maintenance activities include taking everything off the heating plate and wiping it with a paper
towel.
In order to prevent damage to the plate metal cleaning tools should not be used.
The following should be checked monthly:
Correctness of the electrical connections
State of the heating elements
Proper work of all the elements of the device
The device should be serviced annually in order to determine the level of wear and possible faults of
any of its elements. In case any failure is discovered qualified technical personnel (technical service
provider) is required to repair the failure. The person carrying out the service should verify the
following with significant attention:
State of the heating elements
State of the protective parts for heating elements
Amount of wear on the device
Quality of insulation
When not in use the device should be disconnected, washed and placed in a well-ventilated place.
Monthly and annual maintenance can only be performed by qualified technical personnel (service
provider).
During first use of a brand new oven it gives off unpleasant smells resulting from a natural process of
burning of preservatives on the heating plate. After first use the smell will not occur again.
9. PACKAGING, LOADING AND TRANSPORTING THE DEVICE
The crepe maker is packed according to current norms. Loading of the device onto means of
transportation, unloading and lifting should be performed with the use of proper lifting equipment.
Transportation should take place on enclosed vehicles. During transport the stove or oven should be
secured from sliding, shock or any other mechanical damage.

12. END-OF-SERVICE LIFE RECYCLING
After the device reached its end-of-service life or when buying new equipment at Stalgast you can
return the old device. Send it to us and a specialized company will recycle it in accordance with the
ESOL for Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (Legal Journal 2005 no. 180 point 1495).
13. WARRANTY
The seller provides warranty for the product.
Any damage resulting from settlement of calcium on the device is not covered by the warranty.
Replacement of heating elements necessary as result of fluid damage is not covered by the warranty.
Such elements as light bulbs, rubber elements, heating elements damaged by limescale, screws and
elements which naturally wear down such as heaters, gaskets, and any other elements damaged
mechanically are not covered by the warranty.
Warranty becomes void automatically when the warranty seal is broken or the device was repaired
by an unauthorized person.
