It is recommended that a site survey be conducted prior to
the installation of wireless gateways
Building construction may interfere with wireless signal
reception between the gateway and the locksets
Equipment or machinery may interfere with wireless signal
reception between the gateway and the locksets
A survey is the only method to precisely determine the
quantity and placement of the wireless gateways and their
antennae

Site Plan
Make sure all tools are charged
Create a site plan with dimensions and
distances
Hang all emulators at required door
locations
Emulators should be placed on the interior
side of the door
Stand with scepter to determine maximum
signal strength for the each emulator –
adjust location(s) for number of emulators
Scepter location determines final antennae
placement
Coordinate network drop(s) for gateways
with customer
