1. Safety instructions
Contact with voltage can cause severe injury or death due to electric
shock.
Attach or detach connectors only when the desk is de-energised.
Do not open the housings of the following components: power lift, columns and
control panel.
Disconnect the power lift from the mains before cleaning.
Fix loose connections and damaged cables immediately.
Danger of crushing and shearing!
Body parts or objects could be crushed or sheared off as a result of the electrical
height adjustment process.
Maintain sufficient lateral clearance (at least 25 mm) to all surrounding objects,
walls, etc. throughout the lifting range.
Set up the desk in such a manner that there is sufficient space for lift
movements and for the performance of maintenance tasks.
Ology is used as an example for illustration purposes
Risk of injury or damage to the desk!
This desk can be used by children 8 years of age and older, as well as by persons
with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, if they are supervised, or have been instructed in the safe use of the
desk, and understand the dangers associated with using the desk.
Children are not allowed to play with the device.
Children are not allowed to carry out cleaning tasks or user’s maintenance tasks.

Unsupervised use of the desk by children
can cause serious injury and death.
Remove and secure the mains cable when the desk is not in use.
Risk of injury or damage to the desk!
Ensure that
the desk is regularly serviced;
the desk is not used if damaged;
only spare parts are used that originate from the manufacturer. ( see 9. Service
and contact details )
Risk of injury!
Unintentional lifting or lowering of the desktop can cause injury.
For maintenance work on all non-electrical components of the desk, detach the
electrical connection of the height adjustment unit from the mains.

3. Intended use
Intended use also includes following all instructions in the user guide.
The Solo Sit-to-Stand Desk is exclusively designed to be used as office furniture for both private and commercial
use. Any other use or use beyond the specified intended use is considered improper use.
Improper use of the product can result in a risk to life and limb or material damage. For these reasons, improper
use is prohibited. In the case of improper use, Steelcase assumes no liability for any damage that may occur and
does not guarantee that the components will function properly. Improper use includes:
■Lifting loads
■Use as a climbing aid
■Use for the permanent storage of objects with a
total weight exceeding 75 kg
■Outdoor use
■Use in damp rooms
4. Height adjustment
Optimum desk height
Adjustment to the optimum desk height (sitting height) is crucial for the correct sitting posture at
the workstation. The correct desk height setting for the workstation can be found in the
workstation analysis (pursuant to the German Occupational Safety and Health Act, the German VDU
Workplace Ordinance, or accident prevention regulations, for example). See also BGI 650:

4.1 Lift 2 variant
ATTENTION
Before first use, ensure that
■The desk has been assembled correctly.
■There is no-one on the desk.
■There are no people or objects in the lifting range.
■The maximum permissible desk load-carrying capacity is not exceeded.
■The control panel is connected to the controller.
■All safety instructions have been followed.
4.1.2 Height adjustment
Press the appropriate “Up or Down” button to reach the desired desk height.
=The desktop moves up or down.
Release the “Up or Down” button.
=The desktop stops at the desired point. The display indicates the desk height.
The buttons on the control panel have to be held down to move the desktop.

5. Settings
5.1 Configuring memory positions
Press the “Up” or “Down” button until the desired height is reached.
=The display indicates the desk height (e.g. 73 cm).
Press the “SAVE” button.
Press the desired “Memory position” button (e.g. button “2”).
=The display indicates S 2.
The display indicates the desk height after roughly 2 seconds.
5.2 Calling up memory positions
Press and hold the corresponding memory position button (e.g. button “1” or button “2”, etc.).
=The desktop is moved until the stored desktop height is reached. The desktop movement is stopped
whenever the button is released before the memory position has been reached.
5.3 Control panel –lock/unlock
Swipe to the right of the display to “lock or unlock” the control panel.
=The control panel is locked or unlocked.

5.4 Resetting to factory settings
This function can be used to reset the system to the factory settings.
Press and hold the buttons shown below for 3 sec.:
1Press buttons “1” and “2” and the
2“Up” button
=The letter Sand a number (e.g. S 4) are shown on the display.
Press the “Down” button until S 0 is shown on the display.
=The display indicates S 0
Press the “SAVE” button.
=The system has now been reset to the factory settings.

6. Maintenance work
■Only use suitable tools for all activities and be sure to contact our customer service
department to clarify how to proceed.
■A damaged mains cable must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s
customer service staff, or similarly qualified personnel to prevent hazards.
6.1 Functional check
The components of the Solo Sit-to-Stand Desk must be checked for correct functioning at regular intervals.
Pay particular attention to the electrical connections:
The electrical equipment for the desk must be checked at regular intervals. Fix loose connections or damaged
cables immediately. Ensure you disconnect the desk from the electrical power supply beforehand.

7. Cleaning and care
Only use polishing and cleaning agents that are suitable for the respective materials (wood, plastics, metals, etc.).
Clean the desk surface regularly and if visibly soiled.

8. Errors and malfunctions
For the Memory control panel, some faults that could occur are indicated on the display. It is essential to observe
the table “Error Messages Memory Control Panel” in the detailed user guide!

1. Sicherheitshinweise
Kontakt mit elektrischer Spannung kann zu schweren Verletzungen und
zum Tod durch Stromschlag führen!
Steckverbindungen nur in spannungslosem Zustand lösen bzw. stecken.
Gehäuse von folgenden Komponenten nicht öffnen: Power Hub, Säulen und
Bedienpaneel.
Vor einer Reinigung den Power Hub vom Stromnetz trennen.
Lose Verbindungen und beschädigte Kabel sind sofort zu beseitigen.
Quetsch- und Schergefahr!
Während der elektrischen Höhenverstellung können Körperteile oder Gegenstände
gequetscht oder abgeschert werden.
Im gesamten Hubbereich ausreichenden seitlichen Abstand (mindestens 25mm)
zu allen umgebenden Gegenständen, Wänden usw. einhalten.
Den Schreibtisch so aufstellen, dass ausreichend Platz für die Hubbewegungen
sowie für die Instandhaltungsarbeiten gewährleistet ist.

Verletzungen oder Beschädigungen des Schreibtisches möglich!
Dieser Schreibtisch kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber sowie von
Personen mit verringerten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten
oder Mangel an Erfahrung und Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt
oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Schreibtisches unterwiesen wurden
und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstehen.
Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht von Kindern durchgeführt werden.

Unbeaufsichtigte Nutzung des Schreibtisches durch Kinder!

Stellen Sie sicher, dass:

Körperverletzungen möglich!
Unbeabsichtigtes Heben oder Senken der Schreibplatte kann Körperverletzungen
verursachen.
Für Instandhaltungsarbeiten an allen nicht-elektrischen Komponenten des
Schreibtisches den elektrischen Anschluss der Höhenverstellung vom Stromnetz
trennen.

3. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Zur bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung gehört auch das Beachten aller Hinweise aus
der Bedienungsanleitung.
Das Produkt Solo Sit-to-Stand Desk ist ausschließlich für den Einsatz als Büromöbel im privaten als auch
gewerblichen Bereich konzipiert. Eine andere oder darüberhinausgehende Benutzung gilt als nicht
bestimmungsgemäß.
Bei bestimmungswidriger Verwendung des Produktes können sowohl Gefahren für Leib und Leben als auch
Sachbeschädigungen auftreten. Aus diesem Grunde ist eine bestimmungswidrige Verwendung untersagt. Bei nicht
bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung übernimmt Steelcase keine Haftung für eventuell auftretende Schäden und
keine Garantie für einwandfreies und funktionsgemäßes Arbeiten der Komponenten. Mögliche bestimmungswidrige
Verwendungen:
■Heben von Lasten
■Verwendung als Aufstiegshilfe
■Dauernde Ablagefläche für Gegenstände mit
einem Gesamtgewicht von mehr als 75 kg
■Verwendung im Außenbereich
■Verwendung in Feuchträumen
4. Höheneinstellung
Optimale Schreibtischhöhe
Die Einstellung der optimalen Schreibtischhöhe (Sitzhöhe) ist entscheidend für das richtige Sitzen
am Arbeitsplatz. Die für den Arbeitsplatz einzustellende Schreibtischhöhe ist der Arbeitsplatzanalyse
zu entnehmen (z. B. gemäß Arbeitsschutzgesetz, Bildschirmarbeitsverordnung,
Unfallverhütungsvorschriften). Siehe dazu auch BGI 650: Bildschirm- und Büroarbeitsplätze.

4.1 Variante Lift 2
ACHTUNG
Stellen Sie vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme sicher, dass:
■der Schreibtisch fachgerecht montiert wurde.
■sich keine Personen auf dem Schreibtisch befinden.
■sich keine Personen oder Gegenstände im Hubbereich befinden.
■die maximal zulässige Tragfähigkeit des Schreibtisches nicht überschritten wird.
■das Bedienpaneel mit der Steuerung verbunden ist.
■alle Sicherheitsvorschriften beachtet werden.
4.1.2 Höheneinstellung
Drücken der Tasten “auf- oder abwärts” um die gewünschte Tischhöhe zu erreichen.
=Die Tischplatte bewegt sich auf- oder abwärts.
Loslassen der Taste „auf- oder abwärts“.
=Die Tischplatte stoppt an der gewünschten Stelle. Das Display zeigt die Tischhöhe an.
Die Tasten auf dem Bedienpaneel müssen durchgehend gedrückt werden, um die
Tischplatte zu bewegen.

5. Einstellungen
5.1 Speicherpositionen festlegen
Taste „aufwärts“ oder „abwärts“ drücken bis zur gewünschten Höhe..
=Das Display zeigt die Tischhöhe an (z. B. 73 cm).
Taste „SAVE“ drücken.
Gewünschte „Speicherpositionstaste“ drücken (z. B. Taste „2“).
=Das Display zeigt S 2 an.
Nach ungefähr 2 Sek. zeigt das Display die Tischhöhe an.
5.2 Speicherpositionen aufrufen
Drücken und Halten der entsprechenden Speicherposition (z.B. Taste „1“ oder Taste „2“, …).
=Die Tischplatte wird bewegt, bis die gespeicherte Höhe der Tischplatte erreicht wurde. Wenn Sie die Taste
loslassen, bevor die Speicherposition erreicht wurde, stoppt der Tisch.
5.3 Bedienpaneel –sperren / entsperren
Rechts neben dem Display entlang streichen um das Bedienfeld zu “sperren oder zu entsperren”.
=Das Bedienfeld ist gesperrt oder entsperrt.

5.4 Zurücksetzen auf Werkseinstellungen
Mit dieser Funktion können Sie das System auf die Werkseinstellungen zurücksetzen.
Drücken und Halten der folgenden Tasten für 3 Sek.:
1Taste „1“und „2“sowie
2Taste „aufwärts“
=Das Display zeigt Sund eine Zahl (z.B. S 4).
Taste „abwärts“ drücken bis das Display: S 0anzeigt.
=Das Display zeigt: S 0
Taste „SAVE“ drücken.
=Das System wurde nun auf die Werkseinstellungen zurückgesetzt.
