3.1 Initial Configuration
If the user takes the phone from our official distributor, and keeps Quadro’s LAN IP address factory
default (172.30.0.1), then he/she needs to start from step 3.2 Phone Configuration and omit the rest
of step 3.1 Initial Configuration. If the user has the proper MGCP version on the phone, but carried
out a factory reset then he/she needs to do the following:
1. Enable Quadro's DHCP server.
2. Power up the phone. Its DHCP client is enabled by factory default. If the phone is not in its
factory default state, the DHCP client has to be enabled:
a. Press the OK button on the keypad to enter the menu (pic. 3).
b. Use the Navigation buttons (pic. 2) to go to Admin Settings/Change Settings, and
enter the administrator password (by default “0000”). Press OK.
c. Then go to TCP/IP->DHCP and activate the DHVCP client by selecting Yes in the
displayed menu. After completing the configuration the phone has to be rebooted.
3. The phone will get the needed information (IP Address, Subnet mask, Default Gateway Address,
DNS server Address, TFTP server address) from the DHCP server.
3.2 Phone Configuration
1. Press the OK button on the keypad to enter the menu and use the Navigation buttons (pic. 2) to
go to the Admin Settings-> Current Settings to see the IP address of the phone.
2. Start a web browser session
3. Please note: To start a web session, an Administrator PC and the phone must be connected at
the LAN side of the Quadro.
4. Key the phone’s IP address into the web browser’s address field. For example:
http://172.30.0.111
5. Click on the Administrator button.
6. A window is displayed asking for Name and Password. Enter admin into the name field and
admin into the password field. The page displayed now shows its main menu on the left hand
side of the screen.
7. Go to the Call Agent page, and make sure that the Call Agent IP address is set to Quadro’s
LAN IP address and the Port Number to 2727.
8. Go to the Reboot Page, select the Keep Custom Parameters option and press the Reboot
button.

3.3 Configuring Phone, Purchased or Received From 3
rd
Party
First of all, the proper image from Swissvoice or Epygi or our official distributors is needed.
• If the image is received from Swissvoice, it needs to be upgraded according to the document
provided by Swissvoice. Use the current manual for changing the configuration.
• If the image is received from Epygi or our distributors the Swissvoice IP10S Phone
Distributor Guide is needed together with all the configuration files provided by our company to
distributors. Then the user has to perform all the steps described in that manual. After that
he/she needs to continue with the current manual from the beginning.
4 Quadro Configuration
Quadro provides a possibility to connect MGCP and SIP phones to its LAN side, assign the corresponding
IP line to some active extension and use MGCP and SIP phone as simple phone with all telephony
services of the Quadro (e.g. call hold, waiting, transfer, etc.). 4 IP Lines are available on the Quadro4x
models and 8 IP Lines are available on the Quadro16x models.
The IP Line Settings page is used to configure IP lines for IP phones to be connected to the Quadro.
4.1 Configuring the IP Lines
T
he IP Lines Settings page can be found under the Telephony menu, menu item Line Settings.
The IP Lines Settings page lists all
IP lines of the Quadro with additional
information about the phone type and
the configuration details for each of
them.
The table may be sorted ascending or
descending by clicking the column
heading.
Pressing one of the IP Line links in the
IP Lines column, the associated Edit
IP Line page is opened and offers the
following input options:
A group of manipulation radio buttons allows to enable the IP line and to configure it to be used by the
SIP or MGCP phone:
Selecting Inactive disables the corresponding IP line.

Selecting MGCP Phone configures the IP
line for MGCP phone to be connected to
the Quadro’s LAN. The MGCP phone’s IP
Address and its Endpoint Name will be
required for this selection. The Endpoint
Name is defined on the MGCP phone and
should match on Quadro for the
successful connection between the MGCP
device and the Quadro.
Selecting SIP Phone configures the IP
line for SIP phone to be connected to the
Quadro’s LAN. Username and
Password are required to be inserted
for this selection, which should match on
both Quadro and SIP Phone for a
successful connection establishment.
