1. P ace back (Ref. No. 1) on either padded
horses or on protected f oor so the f ange is
upward.
2. Attach sides (Ref. Nos. 2 & 3) to back by
p acing side with f ange around back and
bo ting together with s ot ess #8-32 x 3/8"
bo ts and nuts. Be certain that a she f adjust-
ment strips are pointed in the same direction.
3. P ace a she f (Ref. No. 7) into she f adjustment
strips to ho d sides in upright position. Be sure
channe ed edge of she f is to the front.
4. Locate top which has the ho es a ong the
perimeter (Ref. No. 4). P ace top, with two
ho es toward front, under f anges at top of
sides and back. Bo t together.
5. P ace door and frame assemb y (Ref. No. 6)
over body.
6. Bo t sides to frame.
7. P ace bottom (Ref. No. 5) in owest notch of
she f adjusting strips on sides and back so that
the f ange with two ho es faces the front and is
over the f ange of frame si . Push out on side
wa to enab e bottom to more easi y s ide into
position.

9. Using a rubber ma et, p ace adjustab e
she ves in desired position with channe ed
edge toward front and press end and back
f anges into notches of she f adjusting strips.
10. Stand unit upright.
MODELS 1871 AND 2471
11. Remove she f from cabinet and p ace coat rod
bracket (Ref. No. 8) over each end and bo t
brackets to she f. P ace coat rod (Ref. No. 9)
into position. Rep ace she f in top adjustment
notch.
12. Stand unit upright.
MODELS 1872 and 2472
13. Remove fu she f from cabinet and p ace coat
rod bracket (Ref. No. 8) over eft end and
fasten with nut and bo t. Rep ace she f in top
adjustment notch.
14. Insta partition (Ref. No. 11) into p ace with
hemmed edge to front and she f adjustment
strip facing the right side of cabinet. Secure
with nuts and bo ts.
15. P ace remaining bracket over coat rod (Ref.
No. 8) and s ide end of coat rod through the
previous attached bracket. A ign ho es in
bracket and she f and secure with nut and bo t.

edge toward front and press end and back
f anges into notches of she f adjusting strips.

17. Tighten a hardware.
18. Be sure cabinet is eve . P ace a screwdriver
through the ho e in each end of the si and
adjust the eve ing screw unti cabinet is eve .
19. Insta ocking mechanism as fo ows (Refer to
Door Lock Detai ):
a. P ace ocking hand e (Ref. No. 13) on right
hand door and fasten with #8-32 bo ts with
ockwashers.
b. Turn hand e to open position and p ace
ocking cam (Ref. No. 14) over square
shank of door hand e with atch facing
downward.
c. Hook ocking bars (Ref. No. 12) to ocking
cam and ho d in position whi e s iding ny on
ock bar guide inserts (Ref. No. 16) over
door ock bar and through door s ots.
d. P ace ocking cam retainer (Ref. No. 15)
over square shank of door hand e and drive
into p ace.
20. P ace dummy hand e on eft hand door and
fasten with bo ts with ock washers.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Do not tighten bo ts unti cabinet is comp ete y assemb ed.
Too s required: Rubber ma et, s otted screwdriver, 11/32" nut driver
(11/32" socket may be substituted).
