9. Trouble-Shooting
If the power su pply fails to function properly, pleas e follow the troubleshooting guide bef ore
applicati on for service:
1. Is the power cord plugged properly into electrical outlet and into the power supply AC inlet?
2. Please mak e sure the “I/O” switch on the power supply is s witched to “I” position.
3. Please mak e sure all power connectors are properly c onnected to all the devices.
4. Please tur n-off and turn-on the power supply with th e I/O switch few times with about 0.5 second in
the OFF state t o reset the PSU.
5. If connect ed to a UPS unit, is the UPS on and plugged in?
If the power su pply is still unable to function properl y after following the above instructio n, please
contact you r local store or Thermaltake branch offi ce for after sales service. You may also refer to

4. Installation Steps
Note: Make sure that your system is turned off and unplugged. Disconnect the AC power
cord from your old power supply.
1. Install the PSU into the case with the four screws provided. Include the two vibration absorbent gaskets
(recommended) that come with the unit.
2. Connect th e 24pin Main Power Connector to your mothe rboard.
3. Connect th e 8pin or 4pin connector for the CPUs. For mot herboard that only requires a 4pin ATX 12V
(CPU) conne ctor, please detach a 4pin connector fro m the 4+4pin ATX 12V connector and connect i t to
the motherb oard. (Either one of the 4pin from the 4+4pi n ATX 12V connector will work)
4. Connect th e modular cables from the cables accesso ries pack to the socket on the power supply as
needed.
5. Connect th e SATA devices (if applicable) to the powe r supply using the SATA cables provided. i e; hard
drives, CD/ DVD drives
6. Connect an y devices that may use the 4pin peripheral c onnectors. ie; hard drives, CD/DVD dri ves or
case fans.
7. If your grap hic card requires PCI-E power connecto r, please connect corresponding PCI-E connector
instructe d by your graphic card’s user manual. Plea se note the power supply utilizes a unique 6 +2pin
PCI-E conne ctor that can be effectively used as a singl e 8pin or 6pin PCI-E connector. To use it as a
6pin PCI-E co nnector, please detach the 2pin connec tor from the 6+2pin connector.
DO NOT PLUG THE P CI-E CABLE INTO THE CPU POWER CONNECTION.THIS WILL DAMAGE Y OUR
SYSTEM.
