Section 1 Introduction and Safety
Information
The Level Monitor Unit monitors the water level of storage tanks to assure
efficient and trouble-free operation.The unit offered can operate either as a
direct-acting or reverse-acting unit. The direct-acting unit is normally used
to start the tank refilling procedure and to control the tank upper water
level to protect the tank from over-filling. The reverse-acting unit is
normally used to monitor the lower water level and to stop auxiliary
equipment, such as a pump, to protect it against damage due to low water
level conditions in the storage tank.
The Level Monitor Unit consists of a controller/indicator and a U-tube
assembly. The controller/indicator contains; a pressure plate mounted
electrical switch; electrical contacts and associated wiring. The U-tube
Assembly connects to the diaphragm housing and is used to mount the
level monitor on the storage tank.
Functionally the Level Monitor operates as a pressure controlled electrical
switch which changes state on rising water head pressure.
This manual contains important operating and safety information. The
user must carefully read and understand the contents of this manual prior
to the use of this equipment.
Your Level Monitor has been designed with function, reliability, and safety
in mind. t is your responsibility to install it in conformance with local
electrical codes. For safe operation, pay attention to Notes, Cautions, and
Warnings throughout the manual.
Warnings
To avoid electrical shock, always:
1. Use a properly grounded electrical outlet of correct voltage and current
handling capacity.
2. Disconnect from the power supply prior to maintenance and servicing.
To avoid personal injury:
1. Do not use in the presence of flammable or combustible materials; fire
or explosion may result. This device contains components which may
ignite such materials.
2. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.

NOTE: Adjust the controller in the upright position
1. Simultaneously press and hold the ↕and → buttons, to enter
programming.
2. The display shows PASSWORD, then press the →button.
3. The display shows 0000 then press the → button four times.
4. The display shows OK, then press the →button.
5. The display shows CLR MAX/MIN, then press the ↕ button.
6. The display shows SET UNITS, then press the →button.
7. The display shows 5.000 PSI, then press the ↕button until the display
shows 138.5 “WC.
8. Then press the →button.
9. The display shows SET UNITS, then press the ↕ button.
10. The display shows SW1 then press the →button.
11. f the display shows OPEN/RISE then press the → button; if not, then
press the ↕ button until the display shows OPEN/RISE.
12. Then press the → button.
13. The display shows SP then press the →button
14. The display shows XXX.X “WC.
15. Adjust the value of each digit using the ↕ button & →button until
the display shows the desired turn-on height in WC.
16. Then press the → button.
17. The display shows DB, then press the → button.
18. The display shows XXX.X“WC.
19. Adjust the value of each digit using the ↕ button & → button until
the display shows the desired turn-off height in WC INCHES.

20. Then press the →button.
21. The display shows SW1, then press the ↕ button.
22. The display shows OFST, then press the ↕ button.
23. The display shows SPAN, then press the ↕button.
24. The display shows LCH1, then press the ↕button.
25. The display shows PORT PLUG, then press the ↕ button.
26. The display shows RESET TRIP CNT,then press the ↕ button
27. The display shows FILTER, then press the ↕ button
28. The display shows TRIP DELAY, then press the ↕ button
29. The display shows SAVE CHNG, then press the → button
30. The display shows NO, then press the ↕ button.
31. The display shows YES, then simultaneously press and hold the ↕ and
→buttons.
32. The display shows SAVING CHANGES, and will then revert to normal
operation.
