Installthefollowingdecalandguardsonthe
Groundsmaster72inchsidedischargedeck.Usethe
locationdescriptionlistedbelowtodeterminethe
correctplacementontheproduct.Beforeinstallingthe
decal,removeorthoroughlycleantheEnglishdecal,
andapplytheappropriatetranslatedlanguageversionin
itsplace(oroverit).
Important:Shouldthedecalortheguardsbecomedamagedorillegible,replacethemimmediately.
Eachpartnumberislistedbelowandalsooneachdecal.Replacementsmaybeorderedthroughyour
authorizedTorodistributor.
InsertthefollowingLocationTableintothe
Operator’ s Man ual fortheowner’sreference.

InstallingtheBafes
1.UsingthedimensionsshowninFigure1,locate,
mark,anddrill7holes(0.344inch(9mm)dia.)in
thefrontofthedeck.
2.Looselysecuretherightandleftbafestotheinside
ofthedeckwithangeheadboltsandangenuts,
positioningthemasshowninFigure1.
3.Adjustthebafestothedesiredheightandtighten
themountingfasteners.
Note:Makesurethebafesarelevelandnotbent.
Abentbafecouldaffectthequalityofcut.

SecuringtheDeckCovers
1.Loosentheknobsandremovethedeckcoversfrom
thedeck.
2.Oneachsideofthegearbox,removetheknob,
washer,andlocknutsecuredtothedeckmounting
tab.Discardtheknobbutretainthewasherand
locknut.
3.Looselyinstallanewbolttoeachdeckmountingtab
withthewasherandlocknutpreviouslyremoved.
4.Installthedeckcoversandtightenthenewboltsand
theexistingknobs.

Guard
1.Disconnectandremovethedriveshaftfromthe
cuttingunitandtractionunit(Figure2).Retainthe
mountingfasteners.

yoketube(Figure2).Retainthegreasetting.
3.Removetheretainingringandnylonbushingshipped
inplaceintheinnerdriveshaftguard(Figure2).
4.Slidetheretainingringallthewayontothedrive
shafttube(Figure2).
5.Insertthenylonbushingintothegrooveonthedrive
shafttube(Figure2).
6.Slidetheinnerdriveshaftguardontothedriveshaft
tube,aligningtheslotsintheguardwiththetabson
thenylonbushing(Figure2).Pushtheguardonto
thebushinguntilthetabslockintotheslots.
7.Throughtheslotsintheguard,worktheretaining
ringintothegrooveinsidetheguard,lockingthe
assembly(Figure2).
8.Installthegreasettingremovedpreviouslytothe
driveshaftslipyoketube(Figure2).
9.Repeattheprocedureonthedriveshaftslipyoke
shaft,exceptforthegreasetting(Figure2).
Important:Whenttingthedriveshaftyokes
togetherduringinstallationonthemachine,
makesurethephaselockonthesplinesis
aligned.
InstallingtheRearWeight
TwoWheelDriveGroundsmaster300SeriesTractionUnitscomplywithCEStandardswhenequippedwith
rearweight.Usethechartbelowtodeterminethecombinationsofweightrequired.Orderpartsfromyourlocal
AuthorizedToroDistributor.FourWheelDriveGroundsmaster300SeriesTractionUnitsdonotneedadditional
rearweighttocomplywithCEStandards.
