1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake.
3.Lowertheloaderarms.
4.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andallowthemachinetocool.
5.Opentherear-accesscoverandenginehood.
6.Turnthebattery-disconnectswitchtotheOFFposition.
7.Removethecoverplatebyremovingthe3boltsholdingitinplace(Figure1).
Note:Retainthecoverplateandcorrespondingboltsforlaterinstallation.

ReplacingtheTilt-CylinderPin
Partsneededforthisprocedure:
1Tilt-cylinderpin
Procedure
1.Tiltthetractionunitattachmentmountplateatandgentlyresttheattachmentmountplateontopofa
block.
2.Placeablockinfrontofthemountplatesothatitcannotswingforwardwhenyouremovethetilt-cylinder
pin.
CAUTION
Whenyouremovethetilt-cylinderpin,themountplatemayswingforward,crushing
yourfeetorhands,orthoseofbystanders.
Placeablockinfrontofthemountplatebeforeremovingthetilt-cylinderpin.
3.Removetheboltandnutsecuringtheuppertilt-cylinderpinonthetractionunit(Figure2).
4.Usingahammerandpunch,removethetilt-cylinderpin.
5.Installthenewpinintopositionandsecureitwiththeboltandnutremovedpreviously,usingthemiddle
holeonthepin(Figure2).
6.Greasethepinusingthettingonthetiltcylinder.
Note:Leavethenewpininstalled,evenwhenthebackhoeisremoved.
