movestowardthebottomofthedisplayastheengine
coolsandisemptywhenitissafetoshutoffthe
engine.Ifyoushutofftheenginebeforethecooldown
periodhasexpired,afaultisloggedinthehistorical
faultlog.

Filter(DPF)Regeneration
Screens
CAUTION
Duringregeneration,thedieselparticulate
lterbecomesextremelyhotandcancause
seriousburns.
Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfromthe
engineduringregeneration.
Thedieselparticulatelter(DPF)removesparticulate
matterfromtheexhaustandpreventsitfrombeing
dischargedintotheair.Astheparticulatescollect
inthelter,theengineperformsaregenerationto
preventclogginganddecreasedengineperformance.
Mostregenerationsareperformedinthebackground
anddonotimpactoperation.Thereare4modes
formaintenance:passiveregeneration,auto
regeneration,stationaryregeneration,andrecovery
regeneration.
1.PassiveRegeneration
Thisistheprimarymoderegenerationthat
occursautomaticallyduringnormaloperation.
Whentheengineisrunningatnormalloads,the
exhausttemperaturekeepstheDPFabovethe
minimumtemperatureforregenerationsothat
normalparticulatematter(PM)accumulationin
theDPFisexpected.
2.AutoRegeneration
IftheengineECUsensesthattheDPF
backpressurehasincreasedpastanacceptable
threshold,anautoregenerationwilloccur.
Duringtheautoregeneration,theintakethrottle
valvelimitstheairowintotheenginewhile
theinjectorsaddadditionalfuel.Thisprocess
increasestheDPFtemperature,whichallows
accumulatedparticulatetoburnoff.Theauto
regenerationiscompletedwhenneeded.The
machinecancontinuetobeusedduringanauto
regeneration.

autoregenerationprocess.

itmayindicatethattheDPFwillrequireservice
soon,thatanengineproblemexists(e.g.,
incorrectenginefueloroil)orthataDPF
pressuresensorisfailing.
Important:Astationaryregenerationcan
beinitiatedbytheengineECUorbyyou,
theuser.YoucanmonitortheDPFsoot
percentageontheEngine-OffScreenorin
theMaintenanceandServiceMenu.Ifthe
DPFSootpercentageishigh,youmayelect
toinitiateamanualstationaryregeneration
ontheDPFSootPercentagescreeninthe

Adjustment
Whenoperatinginlowmowmode,pressandholdthe
LowSpeedModebuttonreducetheenginespeed
(minimumof2,250rpm).PresstheLowSpeedMode
buttonagaintoreturntheenginetothedefaultsetting.
AutoIdleDownMode
Iftheoperatorleavestheseatandthesafetyinterlocks
allowtheenginetoremainrunning,thesystementers
theautoidlemodeandautomaticallysettheengine
speedtothelowtransportspeed.Whenyoureturn
totheseat,thesystemautomaticallyreturnstothe
previouslyselectedenginespeedmode.Ifyouselect
anotherenginespeedsetting,thesystemexitsthe
autoidlemodeandtheenginerunsattheselected
speed.
ErrorMessages
Ifanerroroccurs,amessagedisplaysinplaceofthe
enginetemperature,enginespeed,andfuellevel.In
additiontodisplayingthefaultastext,thesystem
turnstheLEDredandsoundstheaudiblealarm.

TransportModespeedandplacesthe
machineinSafeTransportMode.Safe
TransportModelimitstheenginespeed,
locksoutthePTO,anddisengagesthe
clutch;aLowOilPressuremessagewill
display.CyclingthekeyswitchtotheOFF
andthentotheONpositionclearsthefault.
5.EngineOverTemperature
Whentheenginebeginstooverheat,the
systemashestheenginetemperature
bargraphandchirpstheaudiblealarm.
Ifthetemperaturerisesabovetheupper
limit,thesystemlimitstheenginespeed
totheEfcientTransportModespeedand
placesthemachineinSafeTransportMode.
