UsingtheEndPlates
Theendplatescontainthematerialinfrontofthe
roller,whilethecleanmaterialpassesbetweenthe
rollerandthebarrier.Withtheendplatesmountedin
theworkingpositionandtherakestraight(parallelwith
thetractionunittrack),thematerialcanbemoved,
llinginthelowspots.
Youcanmounttheendplatestoeitherthefrontor
thebackofthepowerrake,dependingontheraking
direction.Whenyoumovetheendplatesfromfrontto
back,youmustmovetheleftonetotherightsideand
therightonetotheleftside.
Tomovetheendplate,performthefollowing:
1.Removethe2hairpincottersfromtheend-plate
pin(Figure7).

OperatingthePowerRake
•Alwaysbeginpowerrakingattheslowestground
speedpossible.Increasethegroundspeedif
conditionspermit.
•Alwaysusefullthrottle(maximumenginespeed).
•Ifarockorotherobstructiongetsintotheteeth,
stopthehydraulicsanddrivethetractionunit
forwarduntiltheobstructionisdislodged.
•Therollershouldbelevelwiththeground.The
powerrakeshouldalsobelevelwiththeground
fromfronttoback.T oaccomplishthis,raiseor
lowerthegaugewheelsandusethetractionunit
tiltcylinder.
•Toallowtherollertopenetratedeeperintothe
ground,loosenthehandleandraisethegauge
wheels.Toraisetheroller,lowerthegauge
wheels.
•Youcanachievefurtherdepthcontrolbytiltingthe
rakeforwardonitsgaugewheelstoraisetheroller,
ortilttherakebacktoraisethegaugewheels,and
allowtherollertopenetratemoredeeply.
•Checktheairpressureineachtireregularlyto
maintainanevenandconsistentgrade.
•Tobreakupcompactedsoil,rollbackthe
attachmentplatetotaketheguidewheelsoffthe
ground,sothatonlythetoothedrollerisincontact
withtheground.Controlthegroundspeedto
avoidstallingthetoothedroller.Removetheend
platestoallowmaterialtomoveoutofthewayif
youareonlytryingtobreakupthesoil.
•Toremoveloosedebris,tiltthetractionunit
attachmentplateuntiltheguidewheelscontrolthe
depthofthetoothedroller.Youcanangletherake
atthistimeforwindrowingdebrisoryoucanset
therakestraightwithbothendplatesinstalledto
collectdebris.Youcanincreasethetractionunit
speedwhenyoudothis.
•Fornishgrading,tilttherakeforwarduntilthe
teethofthetoothedrollerarebarelytouchingthe
soil.Youcanincreasethetractionunitspeedto
collectthematerialfromthehighspotsandleave
itinthelowerareas.
•Tothatchgrassyareas,tiltthetractionunit
attachmentplateforwardtosupporttherakeon
thefrontgaugewheelsandthetoothedroller
raisedsothattheteetharejustgrazingthe
surface.Thetravelspeedshouldbeslow.

Notallproductfailuresormalfunctionsthatoccurduringthewarrantyperiod

indirect,incidentalorconsequentialdamagesinconnectionwiththe
useoftheToroProductscoveredbythiswarranty,includingany
costorexpenseofprovidingsubstituteequipmentorserviceduring
reasonableperiodsofmalfunctionornon-usependingcompletionof
repairsunderthiswarranty.Allimpliedwarrantiesofmerchantability
andtnessforusearelimitedtothedurationofthisexpresswarranty.
Somestatesdonotallowexclusionsofincidentalorconsequential
damages,orlimitationsonhowlonganimpliedwarrantylasts,sothe
aboveexclusionsandlimitationsmaynotapplytoyou.
