Installation Manual for the B-FV904T-H-QM-R Peel-off module
1. APPLICABLE MODEL
This optional device is the peel-off module, which is designed for the following models:
B-FV4T Series
2. PACKING LIST
All the following parts are supplied with the option. Make sure you have all items shown listed below.

Instructions in this manual must be followed when installing option kits or adding cables to avoid
system failures and to insure correct performance and operation.
Failure to follow the manual’s instructions or any unauthorized modifications, substitution or change
to this product will void the product warranty.
2. Before installing this option, be sure to turn off the power switch and disconnect the power adapter
connector from the printer.

3. Take care not to trap or pinch your fingers or hands with the covers.
4. Before installing this option, remove the media and ribbon from the printer.

3. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1) Turn off the printer power, disconnect the power plug from the AC outlet, and disconnect the AC adapter
from the printer.
2) Open the Top Cover.
3) Take off the Front Panel by removing 2 screws as shown below.
NOTE: Keep the Front Panel for future use.
4) Remove the Printer Cover by removing 4 screws as shown below.
5) Pass the Peel-off module harness through the printer frame as shown below, and connect the harness
connector to the connector “J14” on the main board.
Note: “J14” is the connector colored red. Do not connect the connector of the harness to any other connector as
this may cause a machine failure.

6) Lay the Peel-off unit on the printer temporarily, and fit the Printer Cover.
Note: When fitting the Printer Cover, prevent the harness from being trapped between the covers.
7) Fix the Printer Cover by securing 4 screws removed in Step 4.
8) Fit the Peel-off unit on the front of the printer, and insert the frame of the unit under the platen, then
secure the unit with 2 screws removed in Step 3.
9) Close the Top Cover.
The installation is now completed. Check that the Peel-off unit operates correctly.
