The equipment is only intended for HOME USE and is NOT INTENDED FOR COMMERCIAL, INSTITUTIONAL AND/OR
STUDIO FACILITIES USE.
Contact TROJAN with any questions regarding this classification. It is recommended that all users of TROJAN be informed of the

HEALTH WARNING
• Beforestartinganyexerciseorconditioningprogramyoushouldconsultwithyourpersonalphysiciantoseeifyourequirea
completephysicalexam.Thisisespeciallyimportantifyouareovertheageof35orhaveneverexercised,arepregnantorsuffer
from any illness.
• Ifatanytimeduringexerciseyoufeelfaint,dizzyorexperiencepain,stopexercisingimmediatelyandconsultyourphysician.
• Toavoidmuscularpainandstrain,begineachworkoutbystretchingandwarmingupandendeachsessionbycoolingdownand

ACCESS CONTROL
TROJAN recommends that all fitness equipment be used in a supervised area. It is recommended that the equipment be located in
an access controlled area. Control is the responsibility of the owner. Keep children away from all equipment. Parents or other
supervising adults must provide close supervision of children if the equipment is used in the presence of children.
INSTALLATION
TROJAN recommends that all equipment:
• Besecuredtoorsetuponasolid,levelsurfacetostabilizeandeliminaterockingortippingoverduringtraining.
• Besetupinsideyourhomeawayfrommoistureanddust(theequipmentisnotdesignedforoutdooruse).
• Besetupwithsufcientventilationtoensureproperoperation.
• Besetupwithsufcientspacearoundtheequipmentsothatallexercisescanbecompletedsafely.Itis
recommendedthatthereshouldbeatleast1mofspacearoundtheequipmentwhereaccessisrequiredtoexercise.
Fortreadmillsitisrecommendedthatyouhave2mofspacebehindtherunningdeck.
• Beinstalledbyourteamofinstallers.
PROPER USAGE
• Donotusetheequipmentinanywayotherthanasdesignedorintendedbythemanufacturer.Itisimperativethat
TROJAN equipment is used properly to avoid injury.
• Injuriesmayresultfromexercisingimproperlyorexcessively.
• YourTROJANequipmentshouldonlybeusedbyonepersonatatime.
• Becarefultomaintainyourbalancewhileusing,mounting,dismounting,folding,unfoldingorassemblingyourTROJAN
equipment to avoid injury.
• Donotattempttoadjustanyseats/pads/pulleysetc.whileyouareonyourTROJANequipment.
• Servicingotherthantheproceduresinthismanualshouldbeperformedbyanauthorizedservicerepresentativeonly.
• DANGER:Alwaysunplugthepowercordbeforecleaninganyequipmentpoweredbyelectricity.

Instructions for assembly
• Unpackthecartonandusingthepartslistcheckthatallpartsareaccountedfor.
• Donotdisposeofthepackagingmaterialuntilassemblyiscompleted.
• AnAllenWrenchisprovidedforuseinassembly.
STEP 1
• InserttheRearStabilizer(6),whichincludes
2 Caps (8), into the Frame (1). Secure the Rear
Stabilizerwith4M8x60mmAllenHeadScrews
(30).
Note:youcanusethecaps(8)tolevelthebike.
STEP 2
• OrientatetheFrontStabilizer(2),whichincludes
Caps (4), with the large holes facing the Frame
(1).
•AttachtheFrontStabilizertotheFrame(1)with
2M8x73mmAllenHeadScrews(33).

• AttachtheSeat(12)totheSeatForwardandBack
Adjustment Assembly (58) on Seat Post (5). Use 4 M8 Split
Washers(42)and4M8NylonLocknuts(10).
Note:TheSplitWashers(42)andtheNylonLocknuts(10)are
pre-attached to the underside of the Seat (12).
STEP 4
• TurntheSeatQuickRelease(9)counterclockwiseand
remove it from the Frame (1). Insert the Seat Post (5) into
the Frame (1). Adjust the Seat Post to the desired height
andinserttheSeatQuickRelease(9)throughtheselected
holeintheFrame(1).TurntheSeatKnob(9)clockwise
untilitistight.MakesuretheSeatQuickReleaseisrmly
engaged in one of the adjustment holes in the Seat Post (5).
HOW TO ADJUST SEAT POST QUICK RELEASE
A) TIGHTEN QUICK RELEASE
• InsertQuickRelease(9)throughtheholeofSeatPost(5).
• TightenQuickRelease(9)inaclockwisedirection.Please
noteQuickReleaseKnobismarkedwith“+/-”onitssurface.
B) LOOSEN QUICK RELEASE
• LoosenQuickRelease(9)inacounterclockwisedirection.
• PullpinofQuickRelease(9)andmoveholeofSeatPost(5).
• PutthepinoftheQuickRelease(9)backandtightenina
clockwisedirection.

Split Washers (42) and 4 Curved Washers (68) from the
Frame (1).
• WhileanotherpersonholdstheUpright(13)nearthe
Frame(1),connecttheExtensionWire(64)totheReed
Switch Wire (39). Connect the Resistance Cable (23) to
the Lower Cable (29).
• PushtheWires(64,39)andtheCables(23,29)intothe
Frame (1).
• InserttheUpright(13)intotheFrame(1).
• AttachtheUpright(13)with4M8x15mmButton
Screws (34), 4 M8 Split Washers (42) and 4 Curve
Washers (68).
STEP 6
• AttachtheHandlebar(50)totheweldedmetalclampof
Upper Front Post (13) and secure with Spacer (54),
Decoration Cover (67) and Wing Knob Nut (44).

near the Upright (13) connect the consol wire to the
ExtensionWires(23,64).
• PushtheexcesswireintotheUpright(13).
• AttachtheConsol(16)totheUpright(13)andsecure
with4M5x15mmRoundHeadBolt(46).
STEP 8
• IdentifytheLeftPedal(24),whichismarkedwitha“Left”
sticker.Usinganadjustablewrench,rmlytightenthe
LeftPedal(24)counterclockwiseontoleftCrank(55L).
TightentheRightPedal(26)clockwiseontotheright
Crank.
Note:Therightpedal“R”shouldbethreadedonclockwise.
Theleftpedal“L”shouldbethreadedoncounter-
clockwise
• Important:TightenbothPedalsasrmlyaspossible.
Afterusingtheexercisecycleforoneweek,retightenthe
Pedals.
• AdjustthePedalStraps(3)tothedesiredposition,and
press the end of the Pedal Strap onto the tab on the side
of the Left and Right Pedal (24/26).
Note: The end with 4 adjustable holes must be set
outwards.

5. COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
7 DISPLAY FUNCTIONS:
TIME: Displaystheexercisetime00:00-99:59(Countup)or99.59-00:00(Countdown).
SPEED: Displaysthecurrentspeedinkph(0.00-99.9KPH/MPH).
RPM: Displays the number of pedal revolutions per minute.
DISTANCE: Displays the distance covered (0.00-99.9 Kilometers /Miles).
CALORIES: Displays the calories burnt off (0.0-999.9-K.cal).
WATT: Displays the resistance level.
HEART RATE: Displays heart rate in beats per minute.
When entering your AGE, the limits are set at 1-99 years
OPERATING PROCEDURES
Whenthepowerisrstswitchedon,theLCDwindowwillbeilluminatedfor2secondsandtheExercise
Monitor’s CPU will set the resistance level to Level 1.The system is now in Initial Mode.
DATA INPUT KEYS
UP: Use to select a program or increase the resistance level, time or age.
DOWN: Use to select a program or decrease the resistance level, time or age.
ENTER: InInitialMode,pressthe“ENTER”keytoenterTimeorAgesettings.
MODE: InInitialMode,pressthe“MODE”keytoselectSpeed/RPMandCalorie/Wattmodes.
START/PAUSE: Usetostartorstopexercising.Holdingthisbuttonfor3secondswillresetallvaluestozero
andreturntheExerciseMonitortoitsstandbypower-onmode.
RESET: Toerasethedatavaluestozero.
Note:Thecomputerwillshutoffautomaticallyafterfourminutesofinactivity.Allfunctionvalueswillbekept.PushtheMODE
buttonandholditdownforthreesecondstoresetallfunctionstozero.
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
Theconsolrequires4AAbatteries(Alkalinebatteriesarerecommended).Pressthetabonthebatterycoverand
removeit.Insert4batteriesintotheconsol.Makesurethatthebatteriesareorientedasshowninthediagramonthebatterycover.
Then, re-attach the battery cover.

LCD DISPLAY UNIT
Thissystemprovides12differentExercisePrograms.Whenyoupresettheworkouttime,thesystemwilldividethetimeinto10
regularintervals,whichwillbecomeyourExerciseTimeSegments.Ifyoudonotpresetyourintendedworkouttime,thesystem
programwillcountuptheworkouttimeinone-secondincrements.
OPERATING PROGRAMS 1 - 10
• Pressthe“START/PAUSE”keyfor3secondstoentertheinitialmode.
• Pressthe“+/UP”or“-/DOWN“keytochoosetheexerciseprogramyouwant.Theprogramproleswillbedisplayedonthe
LCD screen.
• WhenyouhavecompletedtheProgramsetting,pressthe“ENTER”keytoenterTimesetting.Press“+/UP”or“-/DOWN“
keytoincreaseordecreaseyourExerciseProgramresistance.

• Theseareuniqueprograms.TheyallowtheExerciseMonitortoautomaticallyadjusttheworkoutresistanceaccordingtoyour

AEROBIC EXERCISE
Aerobicexerciseisanysustainedactivitythatsendsoxygentoyourmusclesviayourheartandlungs.Aerobicexercise
improvesthetnessofyourlungsandheart-yourbody’smostimportantmuscle.Aerobicexercisetnessispromoted
byanyactivitythatusesyourlargemuscles(arms,legs,orbuttock,forexample).Yourheartbeatsquicklyandyoubreathe
deeply.Anaerobicexerciseshouldbepartofyourentireexerciseroutine.
WEIGHT TRAINING
Alongwithaerobicexercisingwhichhelpsgetridofandkeepofftheexcessfatthatourbodiescanstore,weighttrain-
ingisanessentialpartoftheexerciseroutineprocess.Weighttraininghelpstone,buildandstrengthenmuscle.Ifyou
areworkingaboveyourtargetzone,youmaywanttodoalesseramountofreps.Andasalwaysconsultyourphysician
beforebeginninganyexerciseprogram.
MUSCLE CHART
CYCLE
Theexerciseroutinethatisperformedonthecyclewilldevelopthelowerbodymusclegroupaswellasconditionthe
circulatorysystemandprovideagoodaerobicworkout.Thesemusclegroupsarehighlightedonthemusclechartbelow.

7. CONDITIONING GUIDELINES
Howyoubeginyourexerciseprogramdependsonyourphysicalcondition.Ifyouhavebeeninactiveforseveralyears,or
areseverelyoverweight,youmuststartslowlyandincreaseyourtimeontheequipment;afewminutesperworkout.
Initially,youmaybeabletoexerciseonlyforafewminutesinyourtargetzone,however,youraerobictnesswillimprove
overthenextsixtoeightweeks.Don’tbediscouragedifittakeslonger.It’simportanttoworkatyourownpace.
Ultimately,you’llbeabletoexercisecontinuouslyfor30minutes.Thebetteryouraerobictness,theharderyouwillhave
toworktostayinyourtargetzone.Pleaseremembertheseessentials:
•Haveyourdoctorreviewyourtraininganddietprogramstoadviseyouofaworkoutroutineyoushouldadopt.
•Beginyourtrainingprogramslowlywithrealisticgoalsthathavebeensetbyyouandyourdoctor.
•Monitoryourpulsefrequently.Establishyourtargetheartratebasedonyourageandcondition.
•Setupyourequipmentonaat,evensurfaceatleast3feetfromwallsandfurniture.
EXERCISE INTENSITY
Tomaximizethebenetsofexercising,itisimportanttoexercisewiththe
proper intensity.The proper intensity level can be found by using your heart
rateasaguide.Foreffectiveaerobicexercise,yourheartrateshouldbe
maintainedatalevelbetween65%and85%ofyourmaximumheartrate
asyouexercise.Thisisknownasyourtargetzone.Youcanndyourtarget
zoneinthetablebelow.
Duringtherstfewmonthsofyourexerciseprogram,keepyourheartratenearthelowendofyourtargetzoneasyou
exercise.Afterafewmonths,yourheartratecanbeincreasedgraduallyuntilitisnearthemiddleofyourtargetzoneas
youexercise.
Tomeasureyourheartrate,stopexercisingbutcontinuemovingyourlegsorwalkingaroundandplacetwongerson
yourwrist.Takeasix-secondheartbeatcountandmultiplytheresultsby10tondyourheartrate.Forexample,ifyour
six-secondheartbeatcountis14,yourheartrateis140beatsperminute.(Asix-secondscountisusedbecauseyour
heartratewilldroprapidlywhenyoustopexercising.)
Adjusttheintensityofyourexerciseuntilyour
heart rate is at the proper level.

8. WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN
WORKOUT GUIDELINES
Eachworkoutshouldincludethefollowingthreeparts:
Awarm-up,consistingof5to10minutesofstretchingandlightexercise.Aproperwarm-upincreasesyourbodytem-
perature,heartrate,andcirculationinpreparationforexercise.
Trainingzoneexercise,consistingof20to30minutesofexercisingwithyourheartrateinyourtrainingzone.(Note:
Duringtherstfewweeksofyourexerciseprogram,donotkeepyourheartrateinyourtrainingzoneforlongerthan
20 minutes.)
Acool-down,with5to10minutesofstretching.Thiswillincreasetheexibilityofyourmusclesandwillhelptoprevent
post-exerciseproblems.
EXERCISE FREQUENCY
Tomaintainorimproveyourcondition,planthreeworkoutseachweek,withatleastonedayofrestbetweenworkouts.
Afterafewmonthsofregularexercise,youmaycompleteuptoveworkoutseachweek,ifdesired.Remember,thekey
tosuccessismakeexercisearegularandenjoyablepartofyoureverydaylife.
SUGGESTED STRETCHES
The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you
stretch, never bounce.
1.Toe Touch Stretch
Standwithyourkneesbentslightlyandslowlybendforwardfromyourhips.Allow
yourbackandshoulderstorelaxasyoureachdowntowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3times.Stretches:Hamstrings,backof
kneesandback.
2. Hamstring Stretch
Sitwithonelegextended.Bringthesoleoftheoppositefoottowardyouandrestit
againsttheinnerthighofyourextendedleg.Reachtowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Ham-
strings,lowerbackandgroin.
3. Calf/Achilles Stretch
With one leg in front of the other, reach forward and place your hands against a
wall.Keepyourbacklegstraightandyourbackfootatontheoor.Bendyour
front leg, lean forward and move your hips toward the wall. Hold for 15 counts, then
relax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Tocausefurtherstretchingoftheachillestendons,
bendyourbacklegaswell.Stretches:Calves,achillestendonsandankles.
4. Quadriceps Stretch
Withonehandagainstawallforbalance,reachbackandgrasponefootwithyour
otherhand.Bringyourheelasclosetoyourbuttocksaspossible.Holdfor15counts,
thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Quadricepsandhipmuscles.
5. Inner Thigh Stretch
Sitwiththesolesofyourfeettogetherandyourkneesoutward.Pullyourfeet
towardyourgroinareaasfaraspossible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3
