STUDIO FACILITIES USE.
Contact TROJAN with any questions regarding this classification. It is recommended that all users of TROJAN be informed of the

• Beforestartinganyexerciseorconditioningprogramyoushouldconsultwithyourpersonalphysiciantoseeifyourequirea
completephysicalexam.Thisisespeciallyimportantifyouareovertheageof35orhaveneverexercised,arepregnantorsuffer
from any illness.

ACCESS CONTROL
TROJAN recommends that all fitness equipment be used in a supervised area. It is recommended that the equipment be located in
an access controlled area. Control is the responsibility of the owner. Keep children away from all equipment. Parents or other
supervising adults must provide close supervision of children if the equipment is used in the presence of children.
INSTALLATION
TROJAN recommends that all equipment:
• Besecuredtoorsetuponasolid,levelsurfacetostabilizeandeliminaterockingortippingoverduringtraining.
• Besetupinsideyourhomeawayfrommoistureanddust(theequipmentisnotdesignedforoutdooruse).
• Besetupwithsufcientventilationtoensureproperoperation.
• Besetupwithsufcientspacearoundtheequipmentsothatallexercisescanbecompletedsafely.Itis
recommendedthatthereshouldbeatleast1mofspacearoundtheequipmentwhereaccessisrequiredtoexercise.
Fortreadmillsitisrecommendedthatyouhave2mofspacebehindtherunningdeck.
• Beinstalledbyourteamofinstallers.
PROPER USAGE
• Donotusetheequipmentinanywayotherthanasdesignedorintendedbythemanufacturer.Itisimperativethat
TROJAN equipment is used properly to avoid injury.
• Injuriesmayresultfromexercisingimproperlyorexcessively.
• YourTROJANequipmentshouldonlybeusedbyonepersonatatime.
• Becarefultomaintainyourbalancewhileusing,mounting,dismounting,folding,unfoldingorassemblingyourTROJAN
equipment to avoid injury.
• Donotattempttoadjustanyseats/pads/pulleysetc.whileyouareonyourTROJANequipment.

Instructions for assembly
• Unpackthecartonandusingthepartslistcheckthatallpartsareaccountedfor.
• Donotdisposeofthepackagingmaterialuntilassemblyiscompleted.
• AnAllenWrenchisprovidedforuseinassembly.
STEP 1
• AttachtheRearStabilizer(65),whichincludes2
LevelingCaps(64),totherearcurvebracketofMain
Frame (62), using 2 Carriage Bolts (21), 2 Curved
Washers (28), 2 Spring Washers (27) and 2 Cap
Nuts (63).
• AttachtheFrontStabilizer(22),whichincludes2
Transportation Wheel Caps (20), to front curve
bracketofMainFrame(62),using2CarriageBolts
(21), 2 Curve Washers (28), 2 Spring Washers (27)
and 2 Cap Nuts (63).
Note:YoucanusetheEndCaps64tolevelthebike.
STEP 2
• Removethe3pre-assembledM8NylonLocknuts
(31) and 3 pre-assembled M8 Flat Washers (30)
from the Seat (29).
• AttachtheSeat(29)tothetriangleseatbracketof
the Seat Post (32), secure with 3 Washers (30) and 3
NylonLocknuts(31).
Note:The3M8NylonLocknuts(31)and3M8Flat
Washers (30) are pre-assembled at the factory.
• SlidetheSeatPostDecorationCover(45)ontothe
Front Post (15).
• SlidetheBellows(54)ontotheSeatPost(32).
• InserttheSeatPost(32)intotheSeatPostMounting
Tube of the Main Frame (62).
• AfterassemblingtheSeatPost,youcanadjustthe
seat to the desired position.

Section Sensor Wire (9).
• ConnecttheLeadHeadoftheTensionCable(11)to
theCbracketonthebottomTensionCable(24).Follow
steps in figure A1-A4.
• SlidetheFrontPost(15)ontotheFrontPostMounting
Tube of the Main Frame (62) and secure using 4 Allen
Head Bolts (26), 4 Spring Washers (27) and 4 Curved
Washers (28).
• PulltheFrontPostDecorationCover(18)tothe
bottom of Front Post (15).
STEP 4
• AttachthethreadofHandlebar(2),whichhas2Hand
Pulses, to the welded clamp on the Front Post (15) and
secure it with Spacer (12), Clamp Decoration Cover
(69) and Wing Knob (14).

the Monitor (7).
• ConnecttheplugoftheMiddleSectionSensor
Wire (9) to the top section Sensor Wire which
comes from Monitor (7).
• Attachthemonitor(7)tothetopMonitorBracket
on the Front Post (15) with 4 Screws (23).
• AttachtheplugoftheHandPulseWire(6)tothe
jackoftheMonitor(7).
STEP 6
• AttachthePedalStraps(13R/13L)tothePedals
(36R/36L).
Note: The end with 4 adjustable holes must be set
outwards.
• ThePedals(36R/36L)andCrankArms(61)are
markedwith“R”&“L”(rightandleft).Connect
eachPedal(36R/36L)tothematchingCrankArm
(61).
Note: Therightpedal“R”shouldbethreadedon
clockwise.Theleftpedal“L”shouldbethreadedon
counter-clockwise.

5. COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
QUICK START
1. Simply start pedaling and away you go!
2.The value of time, distance and calories will start counting upwards.
3.Adjusttheresistancelevelwiththelargedialcontrolknob.
OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
POWER ON : Start pedaling or push the MODE button.
POWER OFF : Automatically shuts off after four minutes of inactivity.
MODE BUTTON : Press to select the display functions, SCAN,TIME, SPEED, DISTANCE, CALORIES
andHEARTRATE.Pressandholdforthreesecondstoresetallfunctionstozero.
OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
SCAN : Automatically scans each function,TIME, SPEED, DISTANCE, CALORIES, and HEART RATE , in sequence and
changes every four seconds. Press and release the MODE button until SCAN appears on the display.
TIME : Displays the time elapsed from one second up to 99:59 minutes.
SPEED: Displaysthecurrentspeedfromzeroto999.9KMperhour.
DISTANCE: Displaysthedistancecoveredfromzeroto99.99KM.
CALORIES: Displaysthecalorieconsumptionfromzeroto999.9kcal.
The calories readout is an estimate for an average user. It should only be used as a comparison between
workoutsonthisunit.
HEART RATE : Display your heart rate in beats per minute.To display heart rate, select the heart rate mode and grasp the
pulsesensorsonthehandlebars,oneineachhand.Theheartsymbolwillbeginashingwhenthecomputer
sensesyourheartrate.Yourheartratewillbedisplayedapproximatelyvesecondsafterthehearticonis
displayed. If you do not place your hands correctly and 60 seconds passes without a heart rate reading, the
computer will turn off the heart rate circuit. If this occurs, press the MODE button to restart, place your hands
backonthepulsesensorscorrectly,andtheheartratereadoutwillappear.
Note:Thecomputerwillshutoffautomaticallyafterfourminutesofinactivity.Allfunctionvalueswillbekept.PushtheMODEbutton
andholditdownforthreesecondstoresetallfunctionstozero.
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
1. Disconnect the computer from the equipment.
2. Openthebatterydooronthebackofthecomputer.
3. The computer operates with 2 AA batteries.

AEROBIC EXERCISE
Aerobicexerciseisanysustainedactivitythatsendsoxygentoyourmusclesviayourheartandlungs.Aerobicexercise
improvesthetnessofyourlungsandheart-yourbody’smostimportantmuscle.Aerobicexercisetnessispromoted
byanyactivitythatusesyourlargemuscles(arms,legs,orbuttock,forexample).Yourheartbeatsquicklyandyoubreathe
deeply.Anaerobicexerciseshouldbepartofyourentireexerciseroutine.
WEIGHT TRAINING
Alongwithaerobicexercisingwhichhelpsgetridofandkeepofftheexcessfatthatourbodiescanstore,weighttrain-
ingisanessentialpartoftheexerciseroutineprocess.Weighttraininghelpstone,buildandstrengthenmuscle.Ifyou
areworkingaboveyourtargetzone,youmaywanttodoalesseramountofreps.Andasalwaysconsultyourphysician
beforebeginninganyexerciseprogram.
MUSCLE CHART
CYCLE
Theexerciseroutinethatisperformedonthecyclewilldevelopthelowerbodymusclegroupaswellasconditionthe
circulatorysystemandprovideagoodaerobicworkout.Thesemusclegroupsarehighlightedonthemusclechartbelow.

Howyoubeginyourexerciseprogramdependsonyourphysicalcondition.Ifyouhavebeeninactiveforseveralyears,or
areseverelyoverweight,youmuststartslowlyandincreaseyourtimeontheequipment;afewminutesperworkout.
Initially,youmaybeabletoexerciseonlyforafewminutesinyourtargetzone,however,youraerobictnesswillimprove
overthenextsixtoeightweeks.Don’tbediscouragedifittakeslonger.It’simportanttoworkatyourownpace.
Ultimately,you’llbeabletoexercisecontinuouslyfor30minutes.Thebetteryouraerobictness,theharderyouwillhave
toworktostayinyourtargetzone.Pleaseremembertheseessentials:
•Haveyourdoctorreviewyourtraininganddietprogramstoadviseyouofaworkoutroutineyoushouldadopt.
•Beginyourtrainingprogramslowlywithrealisticgoalsthathavebeensetbyyouandyourdoctor.
•Monitoryourpulsefrequently.Establishyourtargetheartratebasedonyourageandcondition.
•Setupyourequipmentonaat,evensurfaceatleast3feetfromwallsandfurniture.
EXERCISE INTENSITY
Tomaximizethebenetsofexercising,itisimportanttoexercisewiththe
proper intensity.The proper intensity level can be found by using your heart
rateasaguide.Foreffectiveaerobicexercise,yourheartrateshouldbe
maintainedatalevelbetween65%and85%ofyourmaximumheartrate
asyouexercise.Thisisknownasyourtargetzone.Youcanndyourtarget
zoneinthetablebelow.
Duringtherstfewmonthsofyourexerciseprogram,keepyourheartratenearthelowendofyourtargetzoneasyou
exercise.Afterafewmonths,yourheartratecanbeincreasedgraduallyuntilitisnearthemiddleofyourtargetzoneas
youexercise.
Tomeasureyourheartrate,stopexercisingbutcontinuemovingyourlegsorwalkingaroundandplacetwongerson
yourwrist.Takeasix-secondheartbeatcountandmultiplytheresultsby10tondyourheartrate.Forexample,ifyour
six-secondheartbeatcountis14,yourheartrateis140beatsperminute.(Asix-secondscountisusedbecauseyour
heartratewilldroprapidlywhenyoustopexercising.)
Adjusttheintensityofyourexerciseuntilyour
heart rate is at the proper level.

8. WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN
WORKOUT GUIDELINES
Eachworkoutshouldincludethefollowingthreeparts:
Awarm-up,consistingof5to10minutesofstretchingandlightexercise.Aproperwarm-upincreasesyourbodytem-
perature,heartrate,andcirculationinpreparationforexercise.
Trainingzoneexercise,consistingof20to30minutesofexercisingwithyourheartrateinyourtrainingzone.(Note:
Duringtherstfewweeksofyourexerciseprogram,donotkeepyourheartrateinyourtrainingzoneforlongerthan
20 minutes.)
Acool-down,with5to10minutesofstretching.Thiswillincreasetheexibilityofyourmusclesandwillhelptoprevent
post-exerciseproblems.
EXERCISE FREQUENCY
Tomaintainorimproveyourcondition,planthreeworkoutseachweek,withatleastonedayofrestbetweenworkouts.
Afterafewmonthsofregularexercise,youmaycompleteuptoveworkoutseachweek,ifdesired.Remember,thekey
tosuccessismakeexercisearegularandenjoyablepartofyoureverydaylife.
SUGGESTED STRETCHES
The correct form for several basic stretches is shown at the right. Move slowly as you
stretch, never bounce.
1.Toe Touch Stretch
Standwithyourkneesbentslightlyandslowlybendforwardfromyourhips.Allow
yourbackandshoulderstorelaxasyoureachdowntowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3times.Stretches:Hamstrings,backof
kneesandback.
2. Hamstring Stretch
Sitwithonelegextended.Bringthesoleoftheoppositefoottowardyouandrestit
againsttheinnerthighofyourextendedleg.Reachtowardyourtoesasfaraspos-
sible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Ham-
strings,lowerbackandgroin.
3. Calf/Achilles Stretch
With one leg in front of the other, reach forward and place your hands against a
wall.Keepyourbacklegstraightandyourbackfootatontheoor.Bendyour
front leg, lean forward and move your hips toward the wall. Hold for 15 counts, then
relax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Tocausefurtherstretchingoftheachillestendons,
bendyourbacklegaswell.Stretches:Calves,achillestendonsandankles.
4. Quadriceps Stretch
Withonehandagainstawallforbalance,reachbackandgrasponefootwithyour
otherhand.Bringyourheelasclosetoyourbuttocksaspossible.Holdfor15counts,
thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Quadricepsandhipmuscles.
5. Inner Thigh Stretch
Sitwiththesolesofyourfeettogetherandyourkneesoutward.Pullyourfeet
towardyourgroinareaasfaraspossible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3

2.The functions are not working properly or display incorrectly.
• Checkthattheconnectoronthebackoftheconsolispluggedincorrectly.
• Presstheresetbuttontotestiftheerrorhascorrecteditself.
3.There is no pulse reading or the data displayed is unstable.
• Checkthatthereisaproperconnectionbetweenyourhandsandthehandpulseconnector(thehandpulse
sensorswillnotoperatecorrectlyifyourskinisextremelydry.Moistenyourhandsandtryagain).
• Checkthattheconnectedwireisnotbroken.
• Resetandcarefullyfollowtheinstructionsinthemanual.

1. Procedure for repairs
ShouldyouexperienceanyfaultsorbreakdownsonyourTrojanequipment,pleaseadheretothefollowingprocedure
tohavethefaultrectiedspeedilyandprofessionally.
• Donotreturntheproducttothestore*
• Call0861 Trojan (0861 876526)tologthefaultyproduct(underwarrantyoroutofwarranty)
• Theoperatorortechnicaladvisorwilltryidentifythefault,andwillbookaserviceteamcallout.
• Theserviceteamwillendeavourtoxtheprobleminyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.
• Onlyifthefaultcannotberepairedintheconvenienceofyourhome,willtheserviceteamtakethe
faultyproductbacktotheservicecentre.
• Itemsrepairedinourservicecentrewillbereturnedtoyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.

2. Cost of Repairs

2.2 Out of Warranty
• Anyitemsthatneedtoberepairedoncethewarrantyhasexpiredwillbefortheconsumer’sexpense
includingcalloutfees.Aquotefortherepair/replacementoftheseitemswillbeprovidedtothe
consumerforapprovalpriortorepairsbeingconducted.
