electrician in accordance with the perceptive regulation. The information provided in this
Installation Guide does not relieve the user of responsibility to follow all norms and standards
or local regulations that may apply. The EV700 Smart Charger device has been designed,
developed and manufactured to satisfy requirements, safety dispositions and norms in
accordance with the directives presented in the declaration of conformity.
This document is intended to be used as a reference guide for the operation of the charger.

representation of the product. EV700 reserves the right to make changes to the specications
and processes of the product and documentation at any time without prior notice
• Do not operate if physical defects such as cracking, breakage, corrosion, or other
damage are observed. In this case, please contact your distributor.
• Only an authorised specialist and qualied personnel may open, disassemble, repair,
alter or modify the EV700 device. Unauthorised modication of the EV700 equipment
makes manufacturer warranty void.
• Unauthorised modications or conversions are not allowed.
• Special precautions must be taken with electronic implants. Please contact your medical
device manufacturer to nd out the potential eects that the charging process may cause
to it.
• Do not delete any warning on the device, such as safety symbols, warning notices, rating
plates, identication plates or cable markings.
• Protect your EV700 device from any impact which it may be exposed.
• The charging station does not have its own power switch. Always respect local electricity
rules and regulations, as relevant.
• EV700 Smart Chargers can only be used under the operating parameters specied and
within -25ºC to 40ºC of ambient temperature.
• Do not use your EV700 charger under adverse climatic conditions that could aect the
vehicle or the EV700 device. Do not open the cover in the rain.

• Always check the charging cable and the contacts for damage and contamination
before use.
• Never use a damaged charging cable, the vehicle plug, or the infrastructure electrical
outlet to charge.
• Never use contacts that are dirty or wet.
• Only connect the connector to vehicle plug and infrastructure electrical outlets that are
protected against water, moisture and liquids.
• After stopping the charging process, the vehicle connector and the equipment plug can
be disconnected. Never use force to disconnect the vehicle connector from the inlet or
the equipment plug power outlet. Such dangerous activity can cause serious injuries or
even death.
• Depending on the charging station and the electric vehicle, the time to complete the
charging process and the duration of unlocking may vary.
• Some vehicles can be started with the charging cable connected. Be sure to unplug
before driving o.
• Do not use the charging cable with an extension cable or an adapter.
• If the connector emits smoke or begins to melt, never touch the charging cable. If
possible, stop the charging process. In any event, disconnect the power supply from the
EV700 device.
• Keep the charging cable out of the reach of children.
• Be careful with the connector, do not step on it or on the cable.
• The cable should NOT be tightened under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES while connected to
the vehicle.
Important information for the correct disposal of the product in accordance with Directive
2012/19/EC. At the end of its useful life, the product will not be disposed of as urban waste.
It must be taken to a collection center for special and dierentiated waste or to a distributor
that provides this service.

Once your EV700 is mounted and
powered properly, take some time to

If no light is eminating o the LED indicator, and the
touchscreen is not operational, the device is not receiving
power.
A blue light means the EV700 is on standby mode.
If the light is blinking green, your EV700 is currently
charging an electric vehicle.
Error
If the light is red, there is an error. Contact TurnOnGreen.

Once your TOG EV700 has been mounted properly and is connected to a NEMA 6-50 power outlet it is
ready to charge your electric vehicle. The default operating setting on the EV700 allows you to plug into
your electric vehicle and charge without any additional steps!
Plug your EV700 into your electric vehicle and add up to 30 miles of range to your EV per hour!

If you wish to set a dierent charge
initation function, follow the steps
below:
To alter settings on the EV700
you must enter the default
passcode on your device.
Touch the “Code Enter” bar to
place the cursor, and enter the
numbers below:

Touch the checkmark on the
number pad to proceed.
From here you can change
the voltage settings of your
EV700, or the charge initiation
procedure from the default
plug-and-play to a dierent
option.
Select “Start Mode” to adjust
your charge initiation settings.
Select the gear icon at
the bottom left of the
touchscreen.

In the Start Mode menu you will see
three (3) options:
APP only
In “APP Only mode”, the EV700 can
only initiate a charge on the mobile
application.
Swipe Card & App
In “Swipe Card & App” mode, the
EV700 can be activated using the
RFID card provided, or the mobile
application.
Auto & App (default)
“Auto & App” mode allows the EV700
to charge automatically when plugged
into an electric vehicle. This mode also
allows users to intiate and conclude
charges using the app. (See page 12)

Download TurnOnGreen App
To start managing your EV700 on your
smartphone download the EV700 Application on
the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

The EV700 is equipped for smartphone capability. With the TurnOnGreen App you can initiate a charge
via Bluetooth or Wi, schedule charge sessions, see charge statistics, and rename your device using your
smartphone! Before selecting the “App Only” function make sure you have EV700 App downloaded.

Pair EV700 with App
Once you have downloaded the EV700 App, open
the app on your phone. Select “Search” and the
app will search for the EV700’s signal.
Select “Connect” on the charger that displays on
the device list.

Start Charging
Make sure the EV700 dock connector is plugged
into your electric vehicle. The EV700 App will not
allow the charge to initiate until it is plugged into
an EV.
Once the connector is plugged into your EV, select
“START” to begin charging.

Stop Charging
If you wish to conclude your charging session,
touch the “STOP” button at the center of the
screen. This button will also display the duration
of the charge session.

Once you have set your EV700 to
“Swipe Card & App” mode, a charge
cannot begin without an RFID card or
the mobile app.
Plug the EV700 into your electric
vehicle.
The EV700 will prompt you to activate
a charge session by swiping your RFID
card, or by using the mobile phone
application.
The charging session will not
commence until an RFID card
has been swiped, or the mobile
application has initated the charge.
Swipe the RFID card just above the
Wi-Fi symbol to initiate a charge
session.
Place the RFID card on the machine
for a minimum of two (2) seconds.
You may also activate a charge in this
mode. Follow the steps on page 12
to activate a charge using the mobile
application.

Depending on your “Start Mode” settings you can conclude
your charge at any time in the same way you began.
Auto & App Charge Conclusion
Remove the charging plug from the EV, or stop the session
on the mobile application.
Swipe Card & App
Place the RFID above the Wi-Fi symbol to conclude the
charging session, or use the mobile application.
App Only
Select “STOP” on the EV700 mobile app to conclue a
charging session.
Once you have initiated a charge using the EV700 the touchscreen will display real-time charging statistics
and the EV700 LED indicator will blink green.

The TurnOnGreen EV700 can be modied to t your preferences. You can adjust your
settings on the LCD touchscreen, and in the EV700 app! Aside from selecting your preferred
charge authentication method, you can change charge authentication methods, Adjust
Amperage Settings and Assign Additional RFID cards!
1. Select the gear on the LCD touchscreen
2. Select “Current Setting”
3. Increase or decrease the amperage
setting to your preferrence.
If you plan to charge overnight, it is plausible that fewer amps over 6-10 hours of charging can
accomplish the same amount of battery charge as the standard 32A of the EV700. If you wish to
reduce the EV700’s voltage output follow the steps below.
1. Select the “Charge” section on the bottom, left-
hand side of the app screen.
2. Select “SETTING” on the Current Charger screen.

The EV700 mobile app allows you to schedule charging sessions. This is helpful if you wish to
plug your EV in for a charge when you arrive at home in the afternoon, but would prefer it to
start charging late into the night during o-peak hours.
Select “Plan”

3. Select the “Rated Current” towards the bottom of
the Modify screen.
4. Choose your current setting.
5. Select “OK”.

To congure your EV700 on the LCD screen you must
enter the default “123456” password. This password
can be changed on the EV700 app:
1. On the home screen of the app select “Charger”.
2. Select Communication Password.
3. Enter the default password.
4. Enter your new password. 6 digits required.
For security and constantly improving functionality,
the EV700 will undergo rmware updates regularly. To
make sure your EV700 is up to date:
1. Open the EV700 App, Search for your device, and
connect.
2. Once you are connected, select “Charger” on the
bottom left hand side of the screen.

3. Select “Setting”.
4. Choose “Check for Updates” at the bottom of the screen.
5. If necessary, select “Upgrade”.
6. If your EV700 requires an update, here is what you
should know:
• The LCD touchscreen on the charger will reect an
“Updating...” status.
• The update can take up to 5 minutes to complete.
• Once the update is completed, the EV700 will reboot.
• For a few seconds the circular LED indicator will show
white light after rebooting.
