This programming guide is intended specifically for a particular type of system –System Type D
Block A….Block 1….Block ? Block B….Block 2….Block ? Block Z….Block 32….Block ?
System Type D–
One (or up to a maximum of four) ‘Primary’ entry panels i.e. panels which call all apartments in the system.
One or more blocks (maximum of 32) each with one or two ‘Secondary’ panels which only call apartments within
that block
The apartment numbers within a block can be in any range for example 1 to 127 or 400 to 450 or 1001 to 1050

How to use this Configuration Guide
Each entry panel in the system must be individually programmed.
Primary entry panels and Secondary entry panels are programmed using the same method but have a number of
different settings.
Whether a panel is a Primary panel or a Secondary panel depends not only on its configuration but also on its
connection within the system. Refer to the connection diagram supplied with the equipment or the diagram on
Page 1 to determine whether the panel you are configuring is Primary or Secondary.
It is not important whether Primary or Secondary entry panels are programmed first, in fact a system can be
installed with only Secondary entry panels and Primary entry panels can be added later and vice versa.
In this guide, configuration steps that are specific to Primary panels are covered on Page 6 and steps specific to
Secondary panels are covered on Page 7.
Note –When configuring the entry panel it is necessary to pass through each
step and arrive back at the top level menu for information to be saved.

Configuration procedure
When the unit is first powered the screen is as follows –
On the entry panel keypad press 99999 and you will see this screen –
Enter 1000 (the default password) then press

The RANGE OF BLOCKS depends on the number of blocks in the installation. If there
are four blocks for example, then the range is from 0to 3.

In a system with only one primary entry panel the ID is always 0.
In this case just press .
In a system with two, three or four Primary panels, each must have a different ID.
To change the panel ID to 1 for example,just press then press
The ID of the panel is determined by where it is connected in the system.
You must refer to the connection diagram of your system for the ID of each panel.

The RISE NUMBER is the Block Number between 0 and 31 or more specifically;
it is the address of the 1083/50 Riser Distributor to which the secondary panel is
connected.
For example if the secondary entry panel being programmed, is connected to a
1083/50 with the address then the RISE NUMBER is 2.

Each block can have a maximum of two secondary panels, therefore the address of
the panel being programmed can be either 0or 1.
To change the panel ID to 1 just press then press

DOOR LOCK 1 RELEASE TIME adjusts the voltage free relay (C NO NC) time
and also the solid state lock release output (SE+ SE-) time.
For example for a time of 10 seconds press 1 0
Choosing FREE means that the door can be opened by the monitor or handset at
any time without the monitor or handset being called.
Choosing SECRET means that the monitor or handset must be called before it can
open the door.

DOOR LOCK 2 RELEASE TIME adjusts the voltage free relay (C NO) time.

any time without the monitor or handset being called.

open the gate.

A WELCOME MESSAGE can be entered. This is the message which visitors will
see when they approach the panel, for example the Block Name. The message can
be two lines with each line having a maximum of sixteen characters.
