1. FILL TANK WITH WATER: Remove the cap and pour tap
water into the steamer. DO NOT put cleaning fluids in the steamer.

an 110V outlet. The steam cleaner should be the only appliance
plugged into an outlet.
Use only a 15AMP extension cord with maximum length of 25ft.

hose into a towel for about 10 seconds.
6. STEAM CONTROL DIAL is to control the amount of steam released.
By turning the dial counter-clockwise, the steam will increase. To reduce
amount of steam, turn dial clockwise. Do not turn the dial all the way
clockwise. This is the lowest possible setting and no steam will come out
when you pull the steam trigger.
7. REFILLING THE STEAMER: When the steamer is low on water, the
orange low water light will start blinking and steamer will beep. Remove
cap and add water.
During start-up, the holding tank may run low on water

8. TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem
Possible Solution
No Power to Unit
Check the circuit breaker for tripped breaker.
No Steam coming from Hose
1) Is there water in the fill tank?
2) Check the hose connection.
3) Let the steamer drain and cool down.
4) Remove drain plug located on bottom of
steamer.
5) Drain water from boiler, replace drain plug.
6) Refill reservoir tank.
Unit takes more than 15 minutes to heat
1) Is the unit plugged into an extension cord? If
so, make sure it meets the electrical standard
requirements in section 3.
2) Is there more than one appliance plugged into
the electrical outlet?
If so, unplug the other appliance or use a
different circuit.
No response from the trigger button on
handle
1) Check hose connections.
2) Check safety Switch on Hose
3) Turn steam dial and increase steam pressure.
9. BOILER TANK & ACCESSORY CLEANING
VERY IMPORTANT – NEVER ADD CHEMICALS INTO THE TANK! Adding any form of
chemicals or fragrance to the tank will void the warranty and could result in malfunction or damage
to the system.
For most jobs, you do NOT need to use cleaners. However, for cleaning surfaces that may have an
oil base mixed with dirt, we recommend heat activated Vapormate (Available at www.ussteam.net)
cleaning agent, which is 100% all natural, and formulated for EXTERNAL use with the steam
cleaner.
Accessory Cleaning – Do after each time used
Always wash accessory brushes with warm, mild soapy water after each use. Get in the good habit
of cleaning brushes before the dirt dries on them. All accessories can also be cleaned in the
dishwasher, except for the flexible hose.

10. WORK TECHNIQUES
The temperature of the steam at the tip of the nozzle is between 312ºF - 285ºF, since the vapor is
dry, it cools to 245ºF 4” from the tip and 185ºF 8” inches from the tip.
Most bacteria begins to die when exposed to temperatures of 245ºF so keeping the tip of the
handle close to the work area is key to successful cleaning.
Using a bonnet clipped to the large floor or triangular brush allows heat to be spread evenly on the
work area. Work from the top down on any area so dirt will not fall on cleaned surfaces.
To eliminate bed bugs or dust mites, use the large triangle on the low steam
setting. Bed bugs and dust mites will die on contact from the steam.
Ø Move quickly over the mattress and go over each area more than once
to ensure complete and thorough elimination of bed bugs and dust
mites Immediately use a vacuum over treat areas.
Ø Make sure to treat both sides of the mattress and all areas around the
bed including baseboards.
Ø Mattress should be slightly damp to the touch but not wet so let it air-dry
before putting bed linens back on the mattress.
11. Bed Bug & Dust Mites!
PRE-STEAM
Get into the habit of pre-steaming a surface if it is heavily soiled. At a
4-inch distance, spray steam on surface from all directions for 10 seconds.
PRE-TREAT
Use heat activated Vapormate® to pre-treat surface areas before steaming.
SPEED
Let the heat do the work for you! Do not move too quickly, unless surface is
sensitive to heat like wood, paint, wallpaper, colored fabrics or plastic.

12. HOW TO CLEAN
Floors
a. Tile – Vacuum or pre-sweep then use a large floor or triangle brush at low or medium steam.
b. Tile Grout –Use the nylon round brush on low or medium steam.
c. Vinyl or Wood –Use the large floor brush with a bonnet at low steam volume.
NOTE: WHEN STEAMING A WOOD FLOOR, NEVER LET BRUSH STAND IN ONE PLACE
WHILE STEAM TRIGGER IS ON. ALWAYS KEEP BRUSH MOVING. GO OVER AREA TWO
OR THREE TIMES AS NEEDED.
g. Marble Floors - Use the same techniques as used for wood floors, keeping heat and
moisture off the surface as much as possible. Always use Marble conditioner after cleaning.
NOTE: SOME MARBLE SURFACES CAN DISCOLOR.
Carpets
We do not recommend this steam cleaner for cleaning large carpeted areas but rather for spot
cleaning. Carpet fibers melt at temperatures 300ºF and above. The heat from the vapor
system should not melt the fibers, but it can change their shape or color at
temperatures 185ºF-250ºF.
Use large floor or triangle brush on medium steam setting, 2 inches above carpet, and pre-
steam a 6x6 foot area. The steam will cause the dirt and soil particles to loosen their grip on
the carpet fibers and opens up the fibers. Then use a large brush with a bonnet on medium
steam pressure and go over pre-steamed area with same movements as when you vacuum.
Change towels when dirty. Repeat these steps if necessary.
Tips for Treating Carpet Stains
If the stain is only on the surface of the carpet, it can be removed by shooting the steam
against the spot from the side, 1-2 inches above surface. Hold a towel on the other side to
catch the residue. This prevents driving the particles deeper into the fibers.
