Set the reference value
1. Install the opcal patch cord to the FX20.
2. Turn on the power.
3. Press the dB buon to change the display to dB.
4. Press the ZERO buon to set dB to zero as the reference value.

Functional descriptions
1. LCD This displays the current informaon of the device. It displays
the opcal power measurement results in units of dB, dBm, mW, μW, and
nW, the set wavelength in units of nm, and the state of AUTO OFF seng.
2. ON/OFF This is the power buon that turns the device on and o.
To power on the meter, press and hold the power buon unl informaon
appears on the LCD. Press and hold the power buon again to turn it o.
3. AUTO OFF While the device is on, press the AUTO OFF buon
to enable or disable the AUTO OFF funcon. If AUTO OFF is enabled, a
power icon will appear in the top le corner of the LCD. When AUTO OFF
is enabled, the device will automacally turn o if there are no operaons
performed within 10 minutes.
4. ZERO Press this buon to zero the relave opcal power value.
5. LIGHT Press this buon to turn on the backlight for the LCD. While
the LCD backlight is on, press the buon again to turn it o.
6. dB Press this buon to change the units of the relave opcal power
between μW and dB.
7. λPress this buon to select the wavelength to be measured. The
seven precalibrated wavelengths include 850 nm, 980 nm, 1300 nm, 1310
nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, and 1625 nm.
