When using this electrical appliance, especially when
children are present, basic safety precautions should
always be observed including the following:
WARNING: STRAIGHTENER IS HOT DURING AND
AFTER USE, TAKE CARE!
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE AND INJURY
1. Do not place heated straightener directly on any
surface that can be damaged by heat while it is
plugged in, or still hot. We recommend the use
of the Wahl Heat Proof Pouch Mat, to place your
straightener on during use.
2. Always unplug this appliance when not in use and
prior to cleaning.
3. WARNING: Do not use this appliance near
bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels
containing water.
4. Keep away from liquids at all times.
5. Should the appliance fall into liquid, do not reach
for the appliance. Unplug immediately from the wall
socket before retrieving the appliance. Electrical
parts may be live even when switched off.
6. Never leave this appliance when plugged in.
7. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or
knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
8. Use this appliance only for its intended use.
9. Never operate this appliance if it is not working
properly, if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it has
been immersed in liquid.

10. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
11. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
12. Do not insert or drop any object into any opening.
13. Do not use outdoors or where oxygen is being
administered.
14. Do not let eyes or bare skin touch heated surfaces.
15. Do not use with a voltage converter.
16. Do not use with an extension cord.
17. If your hair has been chemically straightened,
ensure lotion is completely washed away to
prevent damage to the hair.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To turn on your straightener, plug into your wall
socket, turn the straightener on, the LED light will
turn red, select your desired temperature by adjusting
the variable switch to the temperature desired, this
ranges from 80, 110, 140, 170, 200 degrees, once the
temperature selected has been reached, the LED will
begin to flash and styling can begin.
If once you have reached the temperature of 200
degrees and you want to reduce below 170 degrees
the LED will go off until the heater has cooled down
to 80 degrees, this will take approx 2-3 Minutes, once
the temperature has cooled down the LED will begin to
flash once again and styling can begin.
To switch off the straightener simply switch to the OFF
position, unplug your straightener and allow to fully
cool down before storing away.

HOW TO USE YOUR STRAIGHTENER
1. Brush/Comb through hair to remove tangles.
2. Divide hair into sections to be styled.
3. Brush/Comb each section thoroughly prior to
straightening.
4. Take a section of hair in the plates of your
straightener as close to the root as possible and
glide down the hair in smooth even motion.
5. If a section requires further straightening allow the
hair to cool then straighten again.
6. Repeat on all sections of hair.
7. Do not leave on any one area of your hair for more
than a few seconds as this may cause damage.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
To clean the outside of the straightener, first ensure
the appliance is unplugged and cool, then use a moist
cloth to clean, then wipe completely dry with a dry
cloth.
WARNING! Do not allow any water to enter the
electrics. Please note a slight discolouring of the
coated plates may occur, due to the chemicals used
with this product.
No other cleaning is necessary. When not in use, store
the appliance where it will not become damaged, and
ensure it is out of reach of children.
Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.

disposed of with general household waste.
Care should be taken to dispose of in a suitable
manner in accordance with your Local Authority
Regulation.
GUARANTEE
This product is guaranteed against defects in
material and workmanship for a period of Twelve
months from the date of original purchase or receipt
as a gift.
The guarantee becomes invalid in the case of
misuse or repair by unauthorised persons.
Should this product become defective during the
warranty period, return it to the store of purchase
together with your proof of purchase for repair or
replacement without any charges to you.
This guarantee in no way affects your rights under
statutory law in the United Kingdom.

WIRING
WARNING: If the supply cord is damaged it must
be replaced by the manufactures service agent or a
similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
The wires in the mains lead of this hair straightener are
coloured in accordance to the following code:
Blue Neutral (N) Brown Live (L)
This appliance is fitted with a 3 pin plug which has a
5amp fuse fitted.
If the plug supplied is not suitable for your socket or
becomes damaged, it should be cut off and disposed
of, and a suitable plug fitted as detailed below.
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
straightener may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows.
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected
to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the
letter N or coloured BLACK or BLUE.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be
connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the L or coloured RED or BROWN.
DO NOT connect either wire to the terminal in the
plug which is marked with the letter E or has the
Earth symbol, or coloured GREEN or GREEN AND
YELLOW.
