1. Important safety nstructons
When usng your equpment, basc safety precautons should always be followed to
reduce the rsk of fre, electrc shock and njury, ncludng the followng:
1.Follow all warnngs and nstructons marked on the product.
2.Adult setup s requred.
3.Ths product s ntended as an ad. It s not a substtute for responsble and proper
adult supervson and should not be used as such.
4.Ths product s not ntended for use as a medcal montor.
5.Do not use ths product near water. For example, do not use t next to a bath tub,
wash bowl, ktchen snk, laundry tub or swmmng pool, or n a wet basement or
shower.
6.CAUTION: Use only the batteres ndcated n ths manual. There may be a rsk of
exploson f a wrong type of battery s used for the parent unt. Use only the suppled
rechargeable battery.
7.Use only the adapters ncluded wth ths product. Incorrect adapter polarty or
voltage can serously damage the product. Baby unt power adapter: Input 100-240V
AC 50/60 Hz; output: 6V DC 450 mA; Parent unt power adapter: Input 100-240V AC
50/60 Hz; output: 6V DC 450 mA.
8.The power adapters are ntended to be correctly orented n a vertcal or oor
mount poston. The prongs are not desgned to hold the plug n place f t s plugged
nto a celng, under-the-table or cabnet outlet.
9.Unplug ths product from the wall outlet before cleanng. Do not use lqud or
aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleanng.
10.Unplug the power cords before replacng batteres.
11.Do not cut o the power adapters to replace them wth other plugs, as ths causes
a hazardous stuaton.
12.Do not allow anythng to rest on the power cords. Do not nstall ths product
where the cords may be walked on or crmped.
13.Ths product should be operated only from the type of power source ndcated
on the markng label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply n your home,
consult your dealer or local power company.
14.Do not overload wall outlets or use an extenson cord
15.Do not place ths product on an unstable table, shelf, stand or other unstable
surfaces.
16.Ths product should not be placed n any area where proper ventlaton s not
provded. Slots and openngs n the back or bottom of ths product are provded for
ventlaton. To protect them from overheatng, these openngs must not be blocked
by placng the product on a soft surface such as a bed, sofa or rug. Ths product
should never be placed near or over a radator or heat regster.
17.Never push objects of any knd nto ths product through the slots because they
may touch dangerous voltage ponts or create a short crcut. Never spll lqud of any
knd on the product.
18.To reduce the rsk of electrc shock, do not dsassemble ths product, but take t
to an authorzed servce faclty. Openng or removng parts of the product other
than specfed access doors may expose you to dangerous voltages or other rsks.
Incorrect reassemblng can cause electrc shock when the product s subsequently
used.

19.You should test the sound recepton every tme you turn on the unts or move one
of the components.
20.Perodcally examne all components for damage.
21.Be aware of possble loss of prvacy whle usng publc arwaves. Conversatons
may be pcked up by other nursery montors, cordless phones, scanners, etc.
22.Chldren should be supervsed to ensure that they do not play wth the product.
23.The product s not ntended for use by persons (ncludng chldren) wth reduced
physcal, sensory or mental capabltes, or lack of experence and knowledge, unless
they have been gven supervson or nstructon concernng use of the applance by a
person responsble for ther safety.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Cautons
1.Use and store the product at a temperature between 10¡C and 39¡C.
2.Do not expose the product to extreme cold, heat or drect sunlght. Do not put the
product close to a heatng source.
3.Batteres should not be exposed to excessve heat such as brght sunshne or fre.
4.Make sure the baby unt(s) and the adapter cord(s) are always out of reach of the
baby, at least 1 metre away from the baby or crb, to avod a possble strangulaton
hazard.
5.Never place the baby unt(s) nsde the baby’s crb or playpen.
6.Never cover the baby unt(s) or parent unt wth anythng such as a towel or a
blanket.
7.Other electronc products may cause nterference wth your audo montor. Try
nstallng your audo montor as far away from these electronc devces as possble:
wreless routers, rados, cellular telephones, ntercoms, room montors, televsons,
personal computers, ktchen applances and cordless telephones.
DISPOSAL WARNING
1.When ths crossed-out wheeled bn symbol s attached to
a product, t means the product s covered by the European
Drectve 2002/96/EC.
2.All electrcal and electronc products/battery should be
dsposed of separately from the muncpal waste stream va
desgnated collecton facltes apponted by the government or
the local authortes.
3.The correct dsposal of your old applance/battery wll help
prevent potental negatve consequences for the envronment
and human health.

2.2 Baby unt nstallaton
The baby unt s powered by mans power. To connect the baby unt to the mans
power:
1.Choose ether power adapter that comes wth the package. Insert the DC plug of
the power adapter nto the DC socket on the sde of the baby unt.
2.Connect the other end of the power adapter to a sutable mans power socket.

2.3 Parent unt nstallaton
The package comes wth two rechargeable batteres. You can power up the parent
unt by usng two rechargeable batteres or by connectng t to the mans power.
However, even f the parent unt s connected to the mans power, we recommend
you to also nstall the rechargeble batteres. Ths guarantees the contnual operaton
n case of a power outage.
To set up the parent unt:
1.Remove the battery compartment cover.
2.Install the suppled rechargeable batteres nto the battery compartment, matchng
the polarty markngs (+ and -).
3.Replace the battery compartment cover.
4.Insert the DC plug of the other power adapter nto the DC socket on the sde of the
parent unt.
5.Connect the other end of the power adapter to a sutable mans power socket.
6.The Chargng LED lghts up ndcatng the parent unt s chargng.

3.5 Postonng and operatng range
3.5.1 Poston the audo montor
Place the parent unt wthn the operatng range of the baby unt. We recommend
the parent unt s at least 1.5 metres away from the baby unt to avod audo
feedback. If you stll experence audo feedback, move the parent unt and the baby
unt farther apart.
NOTES
If the sgnal s poor, try movng the parent and/or the baby unt to derent postons
n the rooms.
It s the caregver’s responsblty to stay close enough to take care of any eventualty.
