1. Important safety nstructons
When usng your equpment, basc safety precautons should always be followed to
reduce the rsk of fre, electrc shock and njury, ncludng the followng:
1.Follow all warnngs and nstructons marked on the product.
2.Adult setup s requred.
3.Ths product s ntended as an ad. It s not a substtute for responsble and proper
adult supervson and should not be used as such.
4.Ths product s not ntended for use as a medcal montor.
5.Do not use ths product near water. For example, do not use t next to a bath tub,
wash bowl, ktchen snk, laundry tub or swmmng pool, or n a wet basement or
shower.
6.CAUTION: Use only the batteres ndcated n ths manual. There may be a rsk of
exploson f a wrong type of battery s used for the parent unt. Use only the suppled
rechargeable battery.
7.Use only the adapters ncluded wth ths product. Incorrect adapter polarty or
voltage can serously damage the product. Baby unt power adapter: Input 100-240V
AC 50/60 Hz; output: 6V DC 450 mA; Parent unt power adapter: Input 100-240V AC
50/60 Hz; output: 6V DC 450 mA.
8.The power adapters are ntended to be correctly orented n a vertcal or oor
mount poston. The prongs are not desgned to hold the plug n place f t s plugged
nto a celng, under-the-table or cabnet outlet.
9.Unplug ths product from the wall outlet before cleanng. Do not use lqud or
aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleanng.
10.Unplug the power cords before replacng batteres.
11.Do not cut o the power adapters to replace them wth other plugs, as ths causes
a hazardous stuaton.
12.Do not allow anythng to rest on the power cords. Do not nstall ths product
where the cords may be walked on or crmped.
13.Ths product should be operated only from the type of power source ndcated
on the markng label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply n your home,
consult your dealer or local power company.
14.Do not overload wall outlets or use an extenson cord
15.Do not place ths product on an unstable table, shelf, stand or other unstable
surfaces.
16.Ths product should not be placed n any area where proper ventlaton s not
provded. Slots and openngs n the back or bottom of ths product are provded for
ventlaton. To protect them from overheatng, these openngs must not be blocked
by placng the product on a soft surface such as a bed, sofa or rug. Ths product
should never be placed near or over a radator or heat regster.
17.Never push objects of any knd nto ths product through the slots because they
may touch dangerous voltage ponts or create a short crcut. Never spll lqud of any
knd on the product.
18.To reduce the rsk of electrc shock, do not dsassemble ths product, but take t
to an authorzed servce faclty. Openng or removng parts of the product other
than specfed access doors may expose you to dangerous voltages or other rsks.
Incorrect reassemblng can cause electrc shock when the product s subsequently
used.

19.You should test the sound recepton every tme you turn on the unts or move one
of the components.
20.Perodcally examne all components for damage.
21.Be aware of possble loss of prvacy whle usng publc arwaves. Conversatons
may be pcked up by other nursery montors, cordless phones, scanners, etc.
22.Chldren should be supervsed to ensure that they do not play wth the product.
23.The product s not ntended for use by persons (ncludng chldren) wth reduced
physcal, sensory or mental capabltes, or lack of experence and knowledge, unless
they have been gven supervson or nstructon concernng use of the applance by a
person responsble for ther safety.

Cautons
1.Use and store the product at a temperature between 10¡C and 39¡C.
2.Do not expose the product to extreme cold, heat or drect sunlght. Do not put the
product close to a heatng source.
3.Batteres should not be exposed to excessve heat such as brght sunshne or fre.
4.Make sure the baby unt(s) and the adapter cord(s) are always out of reach of the
baby, at least 1 metre away from the baby or crb, to avod a possble strangulaton
hazard.
5.Never place the baby unt(s) nsde the baby’s crb or playpen.
6.Never cover the baby unt(s) or parent unt wth anythng such as a towel or a
blanket.
7.Other electronc products may cause nterference wth your audo montor. Try
nstallng your audo montor as far away from these electronc devces as possble:
wreless routers, rados, cellular telephones, ntercoms, room montors, televsons,
personal computers, ktchen applances and cordless telephones.
DISPOSAL WARNING
1.When ths crossed-out wheeled bn symbol s attached to

2.2 Baby unt nstallaton
The baby unt s powered by mans power. To connect the baby unt to the mans
power:
1.Choose ether power adapter that comes wth the package. Insert the DC plug of
the power adapter nto the DC socket on the sde of the baby unt.
2.Connect the other end of the power adapter to a sutable mans power socket.

2.3 Parent unt nstallaton
The package comes wth two rechargeable batteres. You can power up the parent
unt by usng two rechargeable batteres or by connectng t to the mans power.
However, even f the parent unt s connected to the mans power, we recommend
you to also nstall the rechargeble batteres. Ths guarantees the contnual operaton
n case of a power outage.
To set up the parent unt:
1.Remove the battery compartment cover.
2.Install the suppled rechargeable batteres nto the battery compartment, matchng
the polarty markngs (+ and -).
3.Replace the battery compartment cover.
4.Insert the DC plug of the other power adapter nto the DC socket on the sde of the
parent unt.
5.Connect the other end of the power adapter to a sutable mans power socket.
6.The Chargng LED lghts up ndcatng the parent unt s chargng.

3.5 Postonng and operatng range
3.5.1 Poston the audo montor
Place the parent unt wthn the operatng range of the baby unt. We recommend
the parent unt s at least 1.5 metres away from the baby unt to avod audo
feedback. If you stll experence audo feedback, move the parent unt and the baby
unt farther apart.
NOTES
If the sgnal s poor, try movng the parent and/or the baby unt to derent postons
n the rooms.
It s the caregver’s responsblty to stay close enough to take care of any eventualty.

3.5.2 Test your audo montor before use
It s mportant to test the audo montor when t s nstalled ntally, and at regular
tmes thereafter. Test your parent unt and baby unts f they have not been used for a
long tme or you suspect they are defectve.
To test your audo montor:
Place the parent unt and the baby unt n the same room to test the product. Make
sure the baby unt s at least 1.5 metres away from the parent unt.
Press and hold on the baby unt untl the Power ndcator lght turns on.
Press and hold on the parent unt untl the Power ndcator turns on steadly. The
parent unt plays sound detected from the baby unt. Your audo montor s now
ready for use.
Note
If no connecton can be establshed, the Power ndcator lght on the parent unt
ashes n green.
4. USING YOURBABYMONITOR
4.1 Usng the menu
4.1.1 To enter the parent unt menu:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press
or to scroll to the desred feature. Press MENU to enter that
feature menu.
3. Press or to scroll to the desred opton. Press MENU to confrm your
selecton. You hear a confrmaton tone.
4. To return to the prevous menu, press .

4.2 Language
You can select a language (Englsh, Turksh, French, Italan, Spansh or Portuguese) to
be used n all screen dsplays. The screen dsplay language s preset to Englsh.
To change the language:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press or to scroll to LANGUAGE, then press MENU.
3. Press or to choose ENGLISH, DEUTSCH, FRANCAIS, ITALIANO,

ESPANOL or PORTUGUES, then press MENU to confrm your selecton.
The screen dsplays SAVED. You hear a confrmaton tone.
4.3 Sound alert
When the parent unt speaker volume s set to o, you can set the parent unt to beep
whenever the baby unt detects sounds above the preset threshold volume.
To set the sound alert:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press or to scroll to SOUND ALERT, then press MENU.
3. If the current sound alert settng s OFF, the screen dsplays ON? If the
current sound alert settng s ON, the screen dsplays OFF?.
4. Press MENU to confrm your selecton. The screen dsplays SAVED. You
hear a confrmaton tone.
-OR-
Press to ext the menu. The current settng remans unchanged.
4.4 Nghtlght
When ths feature s turned on, the nghtlght on the baby unt gves a soft glow for
comfort and allows easy locaton n the dark.
To set the nghtlght:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press or to scroll to NIGHTLIGHT, then press MENU.
3. If the current nghtlght settng s OFF, the screen dsplays ON? If the
current nghtlght settng s ON, the screen dsplays OFF?.
4. Press MENU to confrm your selecton. The screen dsplays SAVED.
You hear a confrmaton tone.
-OR-
Press to ext the menu. The current settng remans unchanged.
4.5 Reset
You can restore all the adjustable settngs back to ther orgnal factory settngs.
To reset the baby montor:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press
or to scroll to RESET, then press MENU.
3. The screen dsplays CONFIRM? Press MENU to confrm. The screen
dsplays SAVED. You hear a confrmaton tone.

Press to ext the menu. The current settng remans unchanged.
Baby 6nt0peraton
5.1 Power the baby unt on or o
xPress and hold for 2 seconds to turn on the baby unt. The Power
ndcator lght ashes once and turns on.
xPress and hold for 2 seconds to turn o the baby unt. The Power
ndcator lght turns o.
5.2 Adjust speaker volume
There are fve volume levels (Level 1 to Level 5) on the baby unt.

playback resumes when the parent unt fnshes usng the TALK feature.
5.8 Temperature
The parent unt constantly dsplays the temperature detected by the temperature
sensor on the baby unt. When the detected temperature s lower than 14°C, the
screen dsplays LOW TEMP. When the detected temperature s hgher than 37°C, the
screen dsplays HIGH TEMP.
Note
There mght be a small derence between the baby montor readng and the actual
temperature.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
If you have dculty wth your audo montor, please try the suggestons below.
My audo montor does not work at all.
tMake sure the baby unt, parent unt and the batteres are nstalled and charged
correctly. For optmum daly performance, charge the parent unt when t s not n
use.
tMake sure the power adapters are securely plugged nto the outlet not controlled
by a wall swtch.
tMake sure the adapter cords are plugged frmly nto the baby unt and parent unt.
tMake sure the baby unt and the parent unt are turned on.
tThe parent unt may be too far away from the baby unt. Move the parent unt closer
to the baby unts (but not less than 1.5 metres).
tUnplug the electrcal power to the baby unt and parent unt. Wat for
approxmately 15 seconds, then plug t back n. Turn on the baby unt and the parent
unt. Allow up to one mnute for the baby unt and the parent unt to synchronse.
tCharge the batteres n the parent unt for up to 12 hours.
tIf the parent unt batteres are completely depleted, they may take up to 30 mnutes
to charge the parent unt before t can be used for a short tme.
tRemove the batteres and then nstall them agan. If that stll does not work, t may
be necessary to purchase new batteres.
tLarge obstructons may mpact the recepton. Try to relocate the baby unt, away
from large obstructons such as walls and doors.
tOther electronc products may cause nterference wth your audo montor. Try
nstallng your audo montor as far away from these electronc devces as possble:
wreless routers, rados, cellular telephones, ntercoms, room montors, televsons,
personal computers, ktchen applances and cordless telephones.

tYou may need to adjust the speaker volume on the parent unt.

The parent unt does not play any sound when there s nose from the baby unt.
tMake sure the parent unt s powered up by connectng t to mans power or to the
rechargeable batteres provded.
tMake sure the parent unt s turned on and the speaker volume s not set to o.
tThe parent unt may be too far away from the baby unt. Move the parent unt closer
to the baby unt (but not less than 1.5 metres).
tIf the parent unt s powered by the provded batteres, make sure there s sucent
charge. Charge the battery n the parent unt for up to 12 hours.
tLarge obstructons may mpact the recepton. Try to relocate the baby unt, away
from large obstructons such as walls and doors.
tRemove the batteres and then nstall t agan. Turn on the baby unt and the parent
unt. Allow up to one mnute for the parent unt and the baby unt to synchronse.
tOther electronc products may cause nterference wth your audo montor. Try
nstallng your audo montor as far away from these electronc devces as possble:
wreless routers, rados, cellular telephones, ntercoms, room montors, televsons,

Battery low at the Parent Unt.
tCharge the battery n the parent unt for up to 12 hours.
tThe volume level of the parent unt may be set too hgh whch consumes power.
Decrease the volume level of the parent unt. Refer to Adjust speaker volume (p. 15)
for volume level settngs.
tRemove the battery and then nstall t agan. Use t untl fully depleted, then
recharge t n the parent unt for up to 12 hours.
tIf the above measures do not correct the problem, replace the battery.
The battery does not charge n the parent unt or the parent unt battery does
not accept charge.
tMake sure the batteres are nstalled n the parent unt battery compartment
correctly. The Chargng ndcator lght on the parent unt should be on when
chargng.
tRemove the battery and then nstall t agan, then charge for up to 12 hours.
tIf the battery s completely depleted, t may take up to 30 mnutes to charge the
parent unt before t can be used for a short tme.
tPurchase new batteres. Refer to Parent unt battery nstallaton and Parent unt
battery chargng.
The parent unt beeps.
tMove the parent unt closer to the baby unts (but not less than 1.5 metres). The
parent unt may be out of range.
tThe batteres may be runnng low, Connect the parent unt to the mans power wth
the suppled power adaptor for rechargng.
tThe baby unt may be swtched o. Press and hold key to swtch on the baby unt.

Common cure for electronc equpment.
tIf the audo montor s not respondng normally, try the followng (n the order
lsted):
1.Dsconnect the power to the baby unt and the parent unt.
2.Remove the batteres n the parent unts and then nstall the batteres agan.
3.Wat a few mnutes before connectng power back to the baby unt and the parent
unt.
4.Turn on the baby unt and the parent unt.
5.Wat for the parent unt to synchronse wth the baby unt. Allow up to one mnute
for ths to take place.
