1. Important safety nstructons
When usng your equpment, basc safety precautons should always be followed to
reduce the rsk of fre, electrc shock and njury, ncludng the followng:
1.Follow all warnngs and nstructons marked on the product.
2.Adult setup s requred.
3.Ths product s ntended as an ad. It s not a substtute for responsble and proper
adult supervson and should not be used as such.
4.Ths product s not ntended for use as a medcal montor.
5.Do not use ths product near water. For example, do not use t next to a bath tub,
wash bowl, ktchen snk, laundry tub or swmmng pool, or n a wet basement or
shower.
6.CAUTION: Use only the batteres ndcated n ths manual. There may be a rsk of
exploson f a wrong type of battery s used for the parent unt. Use only the suppled
rechargeable battery.
7.Use only the adapters ncluded wth ths product. Incorrect adapter polarty or
voltage can serously damage the product. Baby unt power adapter: Input 100-240V
AC 50/60 Hz; output: 6V DC 450 mA; Parent unt power adapter: Input 100-240V AC
50/60 Hz; output: 6V DC 450 mA.
8.The power adapters are ntended to be correctly orented n a vertcal or oor
mount poston. The prongs are not desgned to hold the plug n place f t s plugged
nto a celng, under-the-table or cabnet outlet.
9.Unplug ths product from the wall outlet before cleanng. Do not use lqud or
aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleanng.
10.Unplug the power cords before replacng batteres.
11.Do not cut o the power adapters to replace them wth other plugs, as ths causes
a hazardous stuaton.
12.Do not allow anythng to rest on the power cords. Do not nstall ths product
where the cords may be walked on or crmped.
13.Ths product should be operated only from the type of power source ndcated
on the markng label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply n your home,
consult your dealer or local power company.
14.Do not overload wall outlets or use an extenson cord
15.Do not place ths product on an unstable table, shelf, stand or other unstable
surfaces.
16.Ths product should not be placed n any area where proper ventlaton s not
provded. Slots and openngs n the back or bottom of ths product are provded for
ventlaton. To protect them from overheatng, these openngs must not be blocked
by placng the product on a soft surface such as a bed, sofa or rug. Ths product
should never be placed near or over a radator or heat regster.
17.Never push objects of any knd nto ths product through the slots because they
may touch dangerous voltage ponts or create a short crcut. Never spll lqud of any
knd on the product.
18.To reduce the rsk of electrc shock, do not dsassemble ths product, but take t
to an authorzed servce faclty. Openng or removng parts of the product other
than specfed access doors may expose you to dangerous voltages or other rsks.
Incorrect reassemblng can cause electrc shock when the product s subsequently
used.

19.You should test the sound recepton every tme you turn on the unts or move one
of the components.
20.Perodcally examne all components for damage.
21.Be aware of possble loss of prvacy whle usng publc arwaves. Conversatons
may be pcked up by other nursery montors, cordless phones, scanners, etc.
22.Chldren should be supervsed to ensure that they do not play wth the product.
23.The product s not ntended for use by persons (ncludng chldren) wth reduced
physcal, sensory or mental capabltes, or lack of experence and knowledge, unless
they have been gven supervson or nstructon concernng use of the applance by a
person responsble for ther safety.

Cautons
1.Use and store the product at a temperature between 10¡C and 39¡C.
2.Do not expose the product to extreme cold, heat or drect sunlght. Do not put the
product close to a heatng source.
3.Batteres should not be exposed to excessve heat such as brght sunshne or fre.
4.Make sure the baby unt(s) and the adapter cord(s) are always out of reach of the
baby, at least 1 metre away from the baby or crb, to avod a possble strangulaton
hazard.
5.Never place the baby unt(s) nsde the baby’s crb or playpen.
6.Never cover the baby unt(s) or parent unt wth anythng such as a towel or a
blanket.
7.Other electronc products may cause nterference wth your audo montor. Try
nstallng your audo montor as far away from these electronc devces as possble:
wreless routers, rados, cellular telephones, ntercoms, room montors, televsons,
personal computers, ktchen applances and cordless telephones.

2.2 Baby unt nstallaton
The baby unt s powered by mans power. To connect the baby unt to the mans
power:
1.Choose ether power adapter that comes wth the package. Insert the DC plug of
the power adapter nto the DC socket on the sde of the baby unt.
2.Connect the other end of the power adapter to a sutable mans power socket.

2.3 Parent unt nstallaton
The package comes wth two rechargeable batteres. You can power up the parent
unt by usng two rechargeable batteres or by connectng t to the mans power.
However, even f the parent unt s connected to the mans power, we recommend
you to also nstall the rechargeble batteres. Ths guarantees the contnual operaton
n case of a power outage.
To set up the parent unt:
1.Remove the battery compartment cover.
2.Install the suppled rechargeable batteres nto the battery compartment, matchng
the polarty markngs (+ and -).
3.Replace the battery compartment cover.
4.Insert the DC plug of the other power adapter nto the DC socket on the sde of the
parent unt.
5.Connect the other end of the power adapter to a sutable mans power socket.
6.The Chargng LED lghts up ndcatng the parent unt s chargng.

3.5 Postonng and operatng range
3.5.1 Poston the audo montor
Place the parent unt wthn the operatng range of the baby unt. We recommend
the parent unt s at least 1.5 metres away from the baby unt to avod audo
feedback. If you stll experence audo feedback, move the parent unt and the baby
unt farther apart.
NOTES
If the sgnal s poor, try movng the parent and/or the baby unt to derent postons
n the rooms.
It s the caregver’s responsblty to stay close enough to take care of any eventualty.

3.5.2 Test your audo montor before use
It s mportant to test the audo montor when t s nstalled ntally, and at regular
tmes thereafter. Test your parent unt and baby unts f they have not been used for a
long tme or you suspect they are defectve.
To test your audo montor:
Place the parent unt and the baby unt n the same room to test the product. Make
sure the baby unt s at least 1.5 metres away from the parent unt.
Press and hold on the baby unt untl the Power ndcator lght turns on.
Press and hold on the parent unt untl the Power ndcator turns on steadly. The
parent unt plays sound detected from the baby unt. Your audo montor s now
ready for use.
Note
If no connecton can be establshed, the Power ndcator lght on the parent unt
ashes n green.
4. USING YOURBABYMONITOR
4.1 Usng the menu
4.1.1 To enter the parent unt menu:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press
or to scroll to the desred feature. Press MENU to enter that
feature menu.
3. Press or to scroll to the desred opton. Press MENU to confrm your
selecton. You hear a confrmaton tone.
4. To return to the prevous menu, press .

4.2 Language
You can select a language (Englsh, Turksh, French, Italan, Spansh or Portuguese) to
be used n all screen dsplays. The screen dsplay language s preset to Englsh.
To change the language:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press or to scroll to LANGUAGE, then press MENU.
3. Press or to choose ENGLISH, DEUTSCH, FRANCAIS, ITALIANO,

ESPANOL or PORTUGUES, then press MENU to confrm your selecton.
The screen dsplays SAVED. You hear a confrmaton tone.
4.3 Sound alert
When the parent unt speaker volume s set to o, you can set the parent unt to beep
whenever the baby unt detects sounds above the preset threshold volume.
To set the sound alert:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press or to scroll to SOUND ALERT, then press MENU.
3. If the current sound alert settng s OFF, the screen dsplays ON? If the
current sound alert settng s ON, the screen dsplays OFF?.
4. Press MENU to confrm your selecton. The screen dsplays SAVED. You
hear a confrmaton tone.
-OR-
Press to ext the menu. The current settng remans unchanged.
4.4 Nghtlght
When ths feature s turned on, the nghtlght on the baby unt gves a soft glow for
comfort and allows easy locaton n the dark.
To set the nghtlght:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press or to scroll to NIGHTLIGHT, then press MENU.
3. If the current nghtlght settng s OFF, the screen dsplays ON? If the
current nghtlght settng s ON, the screen dsplays OFF?.
4. Press MENU to confrm your selecton. The screen dsplays SAVED.
You hear a confrmaton tone.

Press to ext the menu. The current settng remans unchanged.
4.5 Reset
You can restore all the adjustable settngs back to ther orgnal factory settngs.
To reset the baby montor:
1. Press MENU when the parent unt s not n use.
2. Press
or to scroll to RESET, then press MENU.
3. The screen dsplays CONFIRM? Press MENU to confrm. The screen
dsplays SAVED. You hear a confrmaton tone.

Press to ext the menu. The current settng remans unchanged.
Baby 6nt0peraton
5.1 Power the baby unt on or o
xPress and hold for 2 seconds to turn on the baby unt. The Power
ndcator lght ashes once and turns on.

ndcator lght turns o.
5.2 Adjust speaker volume
There are fve volume levels (Level 1 to Level 5) on the baby unt.

playback resumes when the parent unt fnshes usng the TALK feature.
5.8 Temperature
The parent unt constantly dsplays the temperature detected by the temperature
sensor on the baby unt. When the detected temperature s lower than 14°C, the
screen dsplays LOW TEMP. When the detected temperature s hgher than 37°C, the
screen dsplays HIGH TEMP.
Note
There mght be a small derence between the baby montor readng and the actual
temperature.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
If you have dculty wth your audo montor, please try the suggestons below.
My audo montor does not work at all.
tMake sure the baby unt, parent unt and the batteres are nstalled and charged
correctly. For optmum daly performance, charge the parent unt when t s not n
use.
tMake sure the power adapters are securely plugged nto the outlet not controlled
by a wall swtch.
tMake sure the adapter cords are plugged frmly nto the baby unt and parent unt.
tMake sure the baby unt and the parent unt are turned on.
tThe parent unt may be too far away from the baby unt. Move the parent unt closer
to the baby unts (but not less than 1.5 metres).
tUnplug the electrcal power to the baby unt and parent unt. Wat for
approxmately 15 seconds, then plug t back n. Turn on the baby unt and the parent
unt. Allow up to one mnute for the baby unt and the parent unt to synchronse.
tCharge the batteres n the parent unt for up to 12 hours.
tIf the parent unt batteres are completely depleted, they may take up to 30 mnutes
to charge the parent unt before t can be used for a short tme.
tRemove the batteres and then nstall them agan. If that stll does not work, t may
be necessary to purchase new batteres.
tLarge obstructons may mpact the recepton. Try to relocate the baby unt, away
from large obstructons such as walls and doors.
tOther electronc products may cause nterference wth your audo montor. Try
nstallng your audo montor as far away from these electronc devces as possble:
wreless routers, rados, cellular telephones, ntercoms, room montors, televsons,
personal computers, ktchen applances and cordless telephones.

tYou may need to adjust the speaker volume on the parent unt.

The parent unt does not play any sound when there s nose from the baby unt.
tMake sure the parent unt s powered up by connectng t to mans power or to the
rechargeable batteres provded.
tMake sure the parent unt s turned on and the speaker volume s not set to o.
tThe parent unt may be too far away from the baby unt. Move the parent unt closer
to the baby unt (but not less than 1.5 metres).
tIf the parent unt s powered by the provded batteres, make sure there s sucent
charge. Charge the battery n the parent unt for up to 12 hours.
tLarge obstructons may mpact the recepton. Try to relocate the baby unt, away
from large obstructons such as walls and doors.
tRemove the batteres and then nstall t agan. Turn on the baby unt and the parent
unt. Allow up to one mnute for the parent unt and the baby unt to synchronse.
tOther electronc products may cause nterference wth your audo montor. Try
nstallng your audo montor as far away from these electronc devces as possble:
wreless routers, rados, cellular telephones, ntercoms, room montors, televsons,
personal computers, ktchen applances and cordless telephones.
Battery low at the Parent Unt.
tCharge the battery n the parent unt for up to 12 hours.
tThe volume level of the parent unt may be set too hgh whch consumes power.
Decrease the volume level of the parent unt. Refer to Adjust speaker volume (p. 15)
for volume level settngs.
tRemove the battery and then nstall t agan. Use t untl fully depleted, then
recharge t n the parent unt for up to 12 hours.
tIf the above measures do not correct the problem, replace the battery.
The battery does not charge n the parent unt or the parent unt battery does
not accept charge.
tMake sure the batteres are nstalled n the parent unt battery compartment
correctly. The Chargng ndcator lght on the parent unt should be on when
chargng.
tRemove the battery and then nstall t agan, then charge for up to 12 hours.
tIf the battery s completely depleted, t may take up to 30 mnutes to charge the
parent unt before t can be used for a short tme.
tPurchase new batteres. Refer to Parent unt battery nstallaton and Parent unt
battery chargng.
The parent unt beeps.
tMove the parent unt closer to the baby unts (but not less than 1.5 metres). The
parent unt may be out of range.
tThe batteres may be runnng low, Connect the parent unt to the mans power wth
the suppled power adaptor for rechargng.
tThe baby unt may be swtched o. Press and hold key to swtch on the baby unt.

Common cure for electronc equpment.
tIf the audo montor s not respondng normally, try the followng (n the order
lsted):
1.Dsconnect the power to the baby unt and the parent unt.
2.Remove the batteres n the parent unts and then nstall the batteres agan.
3.Wat a few mnutes before connectng power back to the baby unt and the parent
unt.
4.Turn on the baby unt and the parent unt.
5.Wat for the parent unt to synchronse wth the baby unt. Allow up to one mnute
for ths to take place.
