These instructions are intended for "service technicians".
Intended use
The HMS-G3 is a master module for energy management.
WARNING!
Danger of death from electric shock!

Switch off the power to the entire plant when carrying out installation, wiring or removal
work. Otherwise a mains voltage may still be present even if the control voltage is
switched off.
The wiring of the device must be carried out only by qualified electricians.
Use only the correct tools for all work.
Check all wiring after connection.

Never expose the device to moisture, for example due to condensation or cleaning
agents.
Take the device out of operation if it is faulty or dama
ged and is therefore compromising
safe operation.
CAUTION!
Danger of fire if connections are overloaded!
Take note of the maximum loads on all connections.
Electromagnetic interference can cause faults!
Always use shielded data cables and place them far away from power lines.
Damage to the device if handled incorrectly!
Do not open the device.
Do not repair the device yourself. If th
e device requires repairs, send it in with an exact
description of the fault.

Installing
WARNING! Danger to life from electric shock!
Switch off the power to the entire plant before installing. Otherwise, an external
voltage may still be present even though the control voltage is switched off.
Installation in the MGR
Installation with ZEM
Installation in the installation frame MGR131/141
Push the device in the installation frame to the stop until it
locks between the spring clips.
Note!
•Please observe the product information for
the MGR131/141 module frame.
Individual installation with screw clamps of the ZEM
type
Insert the device up to the stop in a mounting cutout in the
switch cabinet door. Then fix the device with screw clamps
of the ZEM type to the switching cabinet door.
