ABOUT YEALINK CP960
The Yealink CP960 addresses today's audio-
conferencing challenges and provides a clear &
easy conferencing communication experience for
both in room and remote participants.
The CP960 is an enterprise grade conference
phone for medium to large sized meeting rooms.
PLACING AND RECEIVING CALLS
Place calls
 Tap
 Enter the desired number using the onscreen dial
pad
 Tap to see the onscreen keyboard, then
enter the number using the onscreen keyboard
 Tap Send
Receiving calls
 Tap the Answer soft key
Ending a call
 Tap the key
Placing a Call on Hold
To place an active call on hold:
 Tap More -> Hold while on an active call (The
screen indicates that the call is on hold)
To resume a held call, do one of the following:
 Tap
 Tap More -> Resume
CALL WAITING
It is possible to make multiple calls, however, only
one active call can be in progress at any time, other
calls are placed on hold.
To make a new call during an active call:
 Tap More -> NewCall
 Enter the number, then tap the Send key
To answer a new call during an active call:
 Tap (The incoming call is answered, and the
original call is placed on hold)
Muting a Call
While on a call it is possible to place the call on
Mute, this prevents the caller from hearing you, but
you can still hear the caller.
To mute a call:
 Tap during an active call.
The mute key LED illuminates solid red and the
icon appears on the status bar
 Press to un-mute the call

TRANSFERRING CALLS
There are two ways of transferring a call – Blind
transfer and Consult transfer.
Blind Transfer allows you to transfer a call directly
to another without announcing the call first:
 During a call tap More -> Transfer (this places
the caller on hold)
 Enter the number you want to transfer the call to
 Tap Transfer
 Tap Transfer again to complete the transfer
Consult Transfer allows you to transfer a call to
another party with announcing the call first:
 During a call press More -> Transfer (this places
the caller on hold)
 Dial the number you want to transfer the call to
 Tap Transfer. The phone will prompt a dialog
box.
 Tap Send to dial out
 When the party answers, announce the call
 Tap the Transfer key to complete the transfer
If the party refuses the call prior to completing
the transfer:
 Tap the Cancel soft key then tap Resume to go
back to the original caller
CONFERENCE CALLS
The CP960 IP phone supports up to five parties
(including yourself) in a conference call:
To initiate a conference by dialling multiple
contacts:
 Tap
 Tap
 Enter the number of the first party then tap Add
members
The avatar of the first party appears on the top of
touch screen. You can tap the avatar to cancel the
addition.
 Repeat step 3 until you have added all intended
parties
 Tap to call all intended parties at the same
time
During the conference call you can:
 Press More -> Hold to place the conference call
on hold
 Press to mute the conference call, all other
participants can hear each other, but they
cannot hear you
 Tap the key to drop the conference
call
CALL FORWARD
You can configure your phone to forward your calls
to another number.
There are three types of Call Forward:
Always Forward – Incoming calls are immediately
forwarded to the configured number
No Answer Forward - Incoming calls are forwarded
if not answered after a configured number of rings
to the specified number
Busy Forward – Incoming calls are immediately
forwarded to the specified number if the phone is
busy
To enable Call Forward:
 Tap Settings from the home screen
 Tap Call Forward from the Features block
 Tap the desired forwarding type
 Turn on the desired forwarding type
 Enter the forward destination number in the
Forward To field
 If you select No Answer Forward, tap the After
Ring Time field to select a desired ring time to
wait before forwarding
 Tap to accept the change or to cancel
The icon on the status bar indicates that the
call forward is enabled.

Disable Call Forward
 Tap Settings from the home screen
 Tap Call Forward from the Features block
 Tap the desired forwarding type
 Turn off the desired forwarding type
 Tap to accept the change
DO NOT DISTURB (DND)
You can use DND to reject incoming calls
automatically on your phone. Calls will go directly
to your Voicemail or receive a busy message.
To enable DND via phone user interface, do one of
the following:
 Swipe down from the top of the screen to enter
the control centre and tap to enable DND
 Tap Settings
 Tap DND from the Features block
 Turn on DND Enable
 Tap to accept the change
When DND is enabled, the IP phone prompts “DND
mode is enabled” and the icon appears
on the status bar.
To disable DND via the phone user interface, do
one of the following:
 Tap from the idle screen
 Swipe down from the top of the screen to enter
the control centre and toggle DND off
 Tap Settings
 Tap DND from the Features block
 Turn off DND Enable
 Tap to accept the change
CALL HISTORY
Your phone maintains a Call History of Placed Calls,
Received Calls, Missed Calls and Forwarded Calls.
Each list can hold up to 100 entries. The following
icons represent each of the categories:
Missed Calls
Received Calls
Placed Calls
To view History:
 Tap . The touch screen displays all call
records.
 Drag up and down to scroll.
You can tap and then tap Missed
Calls, Placed Calls, Received Calls or
Forwarded Calls to view entries in each call list
directly.
 Tap after the desired entry
 The detailed information of the entry appears on
the touch screen
 Tap Send to place a call
 Tap Add to add the entry to the local
directory
 Tap Edit to edit the phone number of the
entry before placing a call
 Tap Blacklist to add the entry to the
blacklist
 Tap Delete to delete the entry from the
list

DIRECTORY
To add a contact:
 Tap
 Tap If you want to add a contact to the
specified contact group, tap , then
tap the contact group, then tap
 Enter the name and the office, mobile or other
numbers in the corresponding fields
 Tap to accept the change
VOICEMAIL
To set up voicemail:
 Tap to launch the Message application
 Tap Set Voice Mail
 Enter the voice mail access code provided by
Vocus
 Tap to accept the change or to cancel
Access voicemail messages:
 A message box will appear on your home screen
indicating you have new messages. The icon
will also appear on the status bar, indicating how
many new messages you have
 When the touch screen prompts that the phone
receives a new voice mail, tap Connect
 Dial out the voice mail access code. Enter your
Voicemail passcode
 Follow the prompts to retrieve your messages
 Press # to save the message, 2 to repeat the
message, or 7 to delete the message
