AquaPure® and PureLinkTM
Tri-Sensor Adapter Installation Kit
This document gives instructions for installing
the Tri-Sensor Adapter on an AquaPure or PureLink
systems.
These instructions were written with safety
as the priority and must be followed exactly. Not
following the written procedure or taking shortcuts may
increase the risk of personal injury. Read through the
instructions completely before starting the procedure.
Before starting the procedure, use the parts lists at
the back of these instructions to identify the parts that
are in your kit.
If any parts are missing from the kit, please
call your local Zodiac distributor for assistance. For
technical assistance, please contact our Technical
Support Department at 1.800.822.7933.
A. Check AquaPure/PureLink Firmware
If the chlorine generator power interface board
rmware is 02110A10, remove the jumper from the
tri-sensor adapter, see Figure 5. All other chlorine
generator power interface board rmwares and AKC13
front boards require the jumper.
Verify the chlorine generator power interface board
rmware.
These instructions are to be used with the following Replacement Kits:

1. On the AquaPure user interface, press "C" Salinity,
"A" Down and "B" Up buttons at the same time.
The rst four sets of two digits shown on the
AquaPure interface is the rmware revision. See
Figure 1.
2. Press "D" to resume normal operation.

B. Installation of Tri-Sensor Adapter on
a Chlorine Generator Power Interface
Board
WARNING SHOCK HAZARD
Turn off all switches and the main breaker in the pool/
spa electrical circuit before starting the installation or
replacement procedure. Failure to comply may cause a
shock hazard resulting in severe personal injury or death.
All wiring must be done in accordance with the National
Electric Code (NEC), NFPA-70. In Canada, the Canadian
Electrical Code (CEC), CSA C22.1, must be followed. All
applicable local installation codes and regulations must be
followed.
1. Turn OFF power to AquaPure/PureLink systems
and circulation pump.
2. Open the door to the power center and access the
chlorine generator power interface board. See
Figure 2.
3. Disconnect the tri-sensor cable 8-pin connector
from the chlorine generator power interface board.
4. Connect the tri-sensor cable 8-pin connector into
the 8-pin male connector on the tri-sensor adapter.
See Figure 3.
5. Connect the tri-sensor adapter 8-pin female
connector into the tri-sensor connector on the
chlorine generator power interface board. See
Figure 3.
6. Turn ON power to the AquaPure/PureLink systems
and circulation pump.
C. Installation of Tri-Sensor Adapter on an
AKC13 Front Board
WARNING SHOCK HAZARD

from the AKC13 front board.

front board, an additional cable
assembly P/N R0538600, is required.

4. For PureLink systems only:
For all PureLink systems with AKC13 front
board, an additional cable assembly part number
R0538600 is required due to the limited space
between the AKC13 front board and the power
center.
CAUTION
Do not attempt to force the installation of the tri-sensor
adapter directly into the AKC13 front board. The cable
assembly P/N R0538600 must be used for proper operation
and to avoid damaged to the tri-sensor board.
a. Connect the cable assembly P/N R0538600
to the tri-sensor adapter and the tri-sensor
connector of the AKC13 front board.
See Figure 4.
b. Connect the tri-sensor cable 8-pin connector
into the 8-pin male connector on the tri-sensor
adapter.
5. For other systems:
a. Connect the tri-sensor cable 8-pin connector
into the 8-pin male connector on the tri-sensor
adapter.
b. Connect the 8-pin female connector of sensor
adapter into the tri-sensor connector on the
AKC13 front board.
7. Turn ON power to the AquaPure/PureLink systems
and circulation pump.
D. Calibrate the Tri-Sensor Adapter
When installing a tri-sensor adapter to an existing
AquaPure/PureLink systems or when replacing an
existing tri-sensor adapter, the tri-sensor adapter must
be calibrated as follows:
1. Install the tri-sensor adapter as explained in
Sections A and B of this document.
2. Make sure to turn ON power to AquaPure/PureLink
systems and circulation pump.
3. Wait a minimum of four (4) minutes to stabilize the
temperature readings of the tri-sensor.
4. On the tri-sensor adapter, press and hold the
calibration button for ve seconds until the "Flow"
indicator is illuminated. See Figure 5.
5. The sensor is now properly installed.
