Installation:
Theunitshouldbemountedviaitsscrewholesonthebracket.Alwaysensurethattheunitis
firmlyfixedtoavoidvibrationandslippingwhileoperating.Alwaysensurethatthestructureto
whichyouareattachingtheunitissecureandisabletosupportaweightof10timesofthe
unit’sweight.Alsoalwaysuseasafetycablethatcanhold12timesoftheweightoftheunit
wheninstallingthefixture.
Theequipmentmustbefixedbyprofessionals.Anditmustbefixedataplacewhereisoutofthe
touchofpeopleandhasnoonepassbyorunderit.

3.2MainFunction
Toselectanyofthegivenfunctions,presstheMENUbuttontoshowtherequiredoptiononthe
display.SelectthefunctionwiththeENTERbuttonandthedisplaywillblink.UsetheDOWNand
UPbuttonstochangethemode.Oncetherequiredmodehasbeenselected,PresstheENTER
buttontostore.TogobacktothemainmenuwithoutanychangespresstheMENUbutton.Hold
andpresstheMENUbuttonaboutonesecondorwaitforoneminutetoexitthemenumode.The
mainfunctionsareshownbelow:

DMX512Address
PresstheMENUbuttonuntilthe isshownonthedisplay.PressingENTERbuttonand
thedisplaywillblink.UseDOWNandUPbuttontochangetheDMX512Address.Oncethe
addresshasbeenselected,pressENTERbuttontosetuporautomaticallyexitmenumodewithout
anychangeafteroneminute.BacktothepreviousfunctionswithoutanychangepressMENU
button.
AutoDMXAddresssetting
PresstheMENUbuttonuntilthe isblinkingonthedisplay.PressingENTERbuttonand
theDMXaddressofthefixturecanbesetautomaticallybybuilt‐inprogram.Togobacktothe
functionspresstheMENUbuttonagain.
ChannelMode
PresstheMENUbuttonuntilthe isshownonthedisplay.PressingENTERbuttonand
thedisplaywillblink.UseDOWNandUPbuttontoselectthe (4channelsmode)or
(3channelsmode)or (6channelsmode)or (4channelsmode)or (4
channelsmode)or (RC8mode).Oncethemodehasbeenselected,presstheENTERbutton
tosetuporautomaticallyexitmenumodewithoutanychangeafteroneminute.Togobacktothe
functionswithoutanychangepresstheMENUbutton.
Note:InRC8mode,thefixturewillruntheeffectinRC8controller.
ShowMode
PresstheMENUbuttonuntilthe isshownonthedisplay.PressingENTERbutton,Use
DOWNandUPbuttontoselectthe (Randomshow)or (show1)or (Show2)
or…or (show12).Ifyouselecttheshowmode,pressENTERbuttontoconfirm,anduse
DOWNandUPbuttontoselect (speed1:theslowest)or…or (speed8,thefastest).
Onceselect,pressENTERbuttontosetuporautomaticallyexitmenumodewithoutanychange
afteroneminute.TogobacktothelastfunctionwithoutanychangepresstheMENUbutton.

useDOWNandUPbuttontoselect (speed1:theslowest)or…or (speed8,the
fastest).Oncethemodehasbeenselected,presstheENTERbuttontosetuporautomatically
returntothemainfunctionswithoutanychangeafteroneminute.Togobacktothefunctions
withoutanychangepresstheMENUbuttonagain.
SlaveMode
PresstheMENUbuttonuptowhenthe isshowingonthedisplay.PressingENTER
buttonandthedisplaywillblink.UseDOWNandUPbuttontoselectthe (normal)or
(slave2)or…or (16lightshow)mode.Oncethemodehasbeenselected,pressthe
ENTERbuttontosetuporautomaticallyreturntothemainfunctionswithoutanychangeafterone
minute.TogobacktothefunctionswithoutanychangepresstheMENUbuttonagain.
SoundMode
PresstheMENUbuttonuptowhenthe isshownonthedisplay.PressingENTER

PressMENUbuttonuntil isblinkingonthedisplay.UseDOWNandUPbuttontoselect

TemperatureTest
PresstheMENUbuttonuptowhenthe isblinkingonthedisplay.PressingENTER
buttonandthedisplaywillshowthetemperatureoftheunit.Togobacktothefunctionspressthe
MENUbuttonagain.
WhiteBalance
PresstheMENUbuttonuptowhenthe isshownonthedisplay.PressingENTER

4.HowtoControltheUnit
Youcanoperatetheunitinthreeways:
1.Bymaster/slavebuilt‐inpreprogramfunction
2.Byeasycontroller
3.ByDMXcontroller
NoneedtoturntheunitoffwhenyouchangetheDMXaddress,asnewDMXaddresssettingwill
beaffectedatonce.Everytimeyouturntheuniton,itwillshow“ ”onthedisplayandmove
allthemotorstotheir‘home’position.AfterthattheunitwillbereadytoreceiveDMXsignalor
runthebuiltinprograms.
4.1Master/SlaveBuiltInPreprogrammedFunction
Thefixturewillallowyoutolink16fixturestogetherandoperatewithoutacontroller.In
Master/Slavemode,thefirstfixturewhoseDMXinputjackhaswithnothingconnectwillbe
masterautomatically,setotherunitstoslave1orslave2or…slave16viamenu,thenthefirstunit

willcontroltheotherstogiveanautomatic,soundactivated,synchronizedlightshow.This
functionisgoodwhenyouwantaninstantshow.AnyfixturecanactasaMasterorasaSlave
16‐lightshow:
Inslavemode,slave1meanstheunitworksasmaster,slave2means2‐lightshow,slave3means
3‐lightshowandsoon,Inordertocreateagreatlightshow,youcansetthesecondunittoslave2
togetcontrastmovementtoeachother,evenifyouhavetwounitsonly.
4.2.EasyController(byCA‐8)
Theeasyremotecontrolisusedonlyinmaster/slavemode.Byconnectingtothe1/4 ”
microphonejackofthefirstunit,youwillfindthattheremotecontrolleronthefirst
unitwillcontrolalltheotherunitsinStandby,andModeselection.
4.3DMXController
ByusingauniversalDMXcontrollertocontroltheunits,youwillneedtosetaDMXaddressfrom1
to512sothattheunitscanreceivetheDMXsignal.
PresstheMENUbuttontoshow onthedisplay.PresstheENTERbuttonandthedisplay
willblink.UsetheDOWNandUPbuttonstochangetheDMX512address.Oncetheaddresshas
beenselected,presstheENTERbuttontostore.Toreturntothemainmenuwithoutanychanges
presstheMENUbuttonorwaitforoneminute.

TheDMX512iswidelyusedinintelligentlightingcontrol,withamaximumof512channels.
1. Connectthefixturetogetherina“daisychain”withtheXLRplugcablefromtheoutputofthe
fixturetotheinputofthenextfixture.Thecablecannotbebranchedorsplittoa“Y”cable.
Inadequateordamagedcables,badsolderjointsorcorrodedconnectorscaneasilydistortthe
signalandshutdownthesystem
2. TheDMXoutputandinputconnectorspass‐throughtomaintaintheDMXcircuitwhenoneof
theunits’powerisdisconnected.
3. Atlastfixture,theDMXcablehastobeterminatedwithaterminatortoreducesignalerrors.
Soldera120‐ohm1/4 W resistorbetweenpin2(DMX‐)andpin3(DMX+)intoa3‐pinXLR‐plug
andplugitintheDMX‐outputofthelastfixture.
4. Eachlightingfixtureneedstohaveanaddresssettoreceivethedatasentbythecontroller.
Theaddressnumberisbetween0‐511(usually0&1areequalto1).

7.Troubleshooting
Followingareafewcommonproblemsthatmayoccurduringoperation.Herearesome
suggestionsforeasytroubleshooting:
A. Thefixturedoesnotwork,nolight
1. Checktheconnectionofpowerandmainfuse.
2. Measurethemainsvoltageonthemainconnector.
B. NotrespondingtoDMXcontroller
1. DMXLEDshouldbeon.Ifnot,checkDMXconnectors,cablestoseeiflinkproperly.
2. IftheDMXLEDisonandnoresponsetothechannel,checktheaddresssettingsand
DMXpolarity.
3. IfyouhaveintermittentDMXsignalproblems,checkthepinsonconnectorsoronPCBofthe
fixtureorthepreviousone.
4. TrytouseanotherDMXcontroller.
5. CheckiftheDMXcablesrunnearorrunalongsidetohighvoltagecablesthatmaycause
damageorinterferencetoDMXinterfacecircuit.
C. Somefixturesdon’trespondtotheeasycontroller
1. YoumayhaveabreakintheDMXcabling.ChecktheLEDfortheresponseofthemaster/slave
modesignal.
2. WrongDMXaddressinthefixture.Settheproperaddress.
D. Noresponsetothesound
1. MakesurethefixturedoesnotreceiveDMXsignal.
2. Checkmicrophonetoseeifitisgoodbytappingthemicrophone.
E. Oneofthechannelsisnotworkingwell
1. ThesteppermotormightbedamagedorthecableconnectedtothePCBisbroken.
2. Themotor’sdriveIConthePCBmightbeoutofcondition.

8.CleaningAndMaintenance
Thecleaningofinternalmustbecarriedoutperiodicallytooptimizelightoutput.Cleaning
frequencydependsontheenvironmentinwhichthefixtureoperates:damp,smokyorparticularly
dirtysurroundingcancausegreateraccumulationofdirtonthefixture’soptics.
yCleanwithsoftclothusingnormalglasscleaningfluid.
yAlwaysdrythepartscarefully.
yCleantheexternalopticsatleastevery20days.Cleantheinternalopticsatleastevery30/60
days.
