technischem Standard und von bewährter Qualität erworben.
Bitte lesen Sie diese Bedienungs-anleitung vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig
durch und bewahren sie dann gut auf, damit Ihnen diese Informationen bei Bedarf immer
wieder zur Verfügung stehen.
1. Inbetriebnahme
Einlegen der Batterie: Öffnen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel an der Unterseite der Waage
und legen die mitgelieferten Batterien (3 x 1,5V AAA) ein. Bitte achten Sie auf die richtige
Polung der Batterien (+/-).
Sicherheitshinweise:
Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass keine Gegenstände auf die Waage
fallen, da ansonsten die Waage Schaden nehmen könnte.
Reinigen Sie die Waage nur mit einem feuchten Tuch. Verwenden
Sie keine Lösungs- oder Scheuermittel. Nicht unter Wasser
tauchen. Alle Kunststoffteile der Waage sollten direkt nach dem
Kontakt mit Fett, Gewürzen, Essig und anderen stark gewürzten
und eingefärbten Lebensmitteln gereinigt werden. Vermeiden Sie
den Kontakt mit Zitronensäure.
2. Bedienung
Einschalten der Waage: Stellen Sie die Waage auf einen ebenen und festen Untergrund.
Die Waage verfügt über hochsensible Sensortasten (Sensor Touch). Drücken Sie zum
Einschalten der Waage die ON/OFF-Taste rechts neben dem Display. Die Hintergrund-
beleuchtung geht an und im Display erscheint zuerst „18:8.8.8.8g“. Nachdem sich die
Waage stabilisiert hat, erscheint je nach Einstellung die Anzeige „0 g“ oder „0.00 oz“. Die
Waage ist nun zum Wiegen bereit und Sie können das angezeigte Gewicht entweder auf
der analogen oder auf der digitalen Anzeige ablesen.
Hinweis: Wird nach dem Einschalten ein Gewicht angezeigt, berühren Sie die TARE-
Taste, um die Waage auf Null zu setzen.
Gewichtseinhe iten: Durch Drücken der g/lb-Taste an der Unterseite der Waage,
können Sie die länderspezifische Gewichtseinheit verändern (g = Gramm / oz = ounce).
Achten Sie bitte darauf, dass die Waage auf die für Sie maßgebliche Gewichtseinheit
eingestellt ist.
Zuwiege-(Tara-)Fun ktion: Durch Berühren der TARE-Taste können Sie die Waage auf „0
g“ setzen. Stellen Sie z.B. eine Schüssel auf die Wiegeplattform, berühren die TARE-
Taste und setzen somit die Waage wieder auf „0 g“. Dieser Vorgang lässt sich bis zum
Erreichen der Gesamtkapazität der Waage (5 kg) beliebig oft wiederholen. Nach dem
Abnehmen des Wiegeguts wird das Gesamtgewicht als Minuswert (Anzeige: Minus-
Symbol –) angezeigt.
Automatische s Abschalten der Waage: Wenn sich das angezeigte Gewicht innerhalb
von ca. 30 Sekunden nicht verändert, schaltet sich die Waage automatisch aus. Um die
Batterien zu schonen, können Sie durch Drücken der ON/OFF-Taste die Waage nach der
Benutzung auch manuell abschalten.
3. Fehlermeldungen
„Lo“ = Anzeige Batterie leer - Bitte ersetzen Sie die Batterien mit dem
für Ihre Waage vorgesehenen Batterietyp (3 x 1,5V AAA).
„------“ = Überlastanzeige – Max. Kapazität der Waage von 5 kg wurde
überschritten. Nehmen Sie sofort die Last von der Waage, da
ansonsten die Wägezelle Schaden nehmen könnte.

5. Garantie
WAAGEN-SCHMITT garantiert für 3 Jahre ab Kaufdatum die kostenfreie Behebung von
Mängeln aufgrund Material- oder Fabrikationsfehlern durch Reparatur oder Austausch.
Bitte bei Kauf Garantieabschnitt vom Händler ausfüllen und stempeln lassen. Im
Garantiefall die Waage, mit Garantieabschnitt unter Angabe des Reklamationsgrundes, an
Ihren Händler zurückgeben.
Hinweis: Unter extremen elektromagnetischen Einflüssen z.B. bei Betreiben eines
Funkgerätes in unmittelbarer Nähe der Waage kann eine Beeinflussung des
Anzeigewertes verursacht werden. Nach Ende des Störeinflusses ist das Produkt wieder
bestimmungsgemäß benutzbar, ggfls. ist ein Wiedereinschalten erforderlich.
Gesetzliche Hinweispflicht zur Batterie-Entsorgung
Batterien gehören nicht in den Hausmüll. Als Verbraucher sind Sie gesetzlich dazu
verpflichtet, gebrauchte Batterien zurückzugeben. Sie können Ihre alten Batterien bei den
öffentlichen Sammelstellen in Ihrer Gemeinde oder überall dort abgeben, wo Batterien der
betreffenden Art verkauft werden.

Thank you for deciding to purchase this high-quality product from the WAAGEN-
SCHMITT Company. You have purchased a set of scales of the highest technical
standard and proven quality.
Please read through this operating manual carefully before starting-up the scales for the
first time, and keep it in a safe place so that this information is available to you when you
need it.
1. Start-up
Inserting the battery: Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the
scales and insert the provided batteries (3 x 1.5V AAA). Please be mindful of the correct
polarity of the batteries (+/-).
Safety information:
Please take care not to let any objects fall onto the scales,
otherwise the scales could be damaged.
Only clean the scales with a damp cloth. Do not use any solvents
or abrasive cleaning products. Do not immerse in water. All
plastic parts of the scales should be cleaned immediately after
contact with fat, spices, vinegar and other strongly seasoned and
coloured foodstuffs. Avoid contact with citric acid.
2. Operation
Activating the scales: Place the scales on an even and firm surface. The scales make
use of highly sensitive sensor buttons (Sensor Touch). To activate the scales, press the
ON/OFF button to the right of the display. The backlight will turn on and “18:8.8.8.8g”
will initially appear on the display. After the scales have stabilised, either “0 g” or “0.00
oz” (depending on the settings) will appear on the display. The scales are now ready for
weighing, and you can read off the weight either from the analogue or from the digital
display. Please note: If a weight-value is shown after activation, touch the TARE button
to set the scales to zero.
Units of weight: By pressing the g/oz button on the underside of the scales, you can
change the country-specific unit of weight (g = grams / oz = ounces). Please make sure
that the scales are set to the weight-unit relevant to you.
Zeroing (tare) function: By touching the TARE button you can set the scales to “0 g”.
Place, for example, a bowl on the weighing platform, press the TARE button and thus set
the scales to “0 g” again. This process can be repeated as often as you like until the total
capacity of the scales (5 kg) is reached. After removing the weighed item the total weight
will be displayed as a negative value (Indicator: Minus symbol –).
Automatic deactivation of scales: If the displayed weight does not change within approx.
30 seconds, the scales automatically deactivate. In order to conserve battery life, you can
also deactivate the scales manually after use by pressing the ON/OFF button.

4. Warranty
WAAGEN-SCHMITT guarantees the free correction of defects resulting from material or
manufacturing faults through repair or exchange 3 years from the purchase date. Please
get your warranty section filled out and stamped by the retailer when you make your
purchase. In case of warranty, return the scales to your retailer along with the warranty
section indicating the reason for your complaint.
Please note: Under extreme electromagnetic influences e.g. when operating a radio
device in immediate proximity to the scales, the indicator value may be affected. After the
disturbing influence has stopped, the product may once again be used as intended,
although a re-activation may be necessary.
Legal duty to inform about battery disposal: Batteries do not belong in household
waste. As a consumer you are legally obligated to return batteries. You can hand in your
old batteries at the public collection point in your community or anywhere where batteries
of the same kind are sold.

1. Inicio
Introduzca las baterías: Abra la tapa del compartimento de las baterías en la parte
inferior de la báscula e introduzca las pilas suministradas (3 x 1,5 V AAA). Tenga en
cuenta la polaridad correcta de las baterías (+/-).
Información de seguridad:
Tenga cuidado de no dejar que ningún objeto caiga sobre la
báscula, ya que se podría averiar.
Limpie la báscula solamente con un paño húmedo. No utilice
disolventes o productos de limpieza abrasivos. No la sumerja en
agua. Debe limpiar inmediatamente todas las piezas de plástico de
la báscula si entran en contacto con grasa, especias, vinagre y
otros alimentos con mucho condimento o color. Evite el contacto
con el ácido cítrico.
2. Funcionamiento
Activación de la báscula: Coloque la báscula sobre una superficie lisa y firme. La
báscula dispone de botones ultrasensibles al tacto (sensor táctil). Encienda la báscula
presionando el botón ON/OFF que se encuentra a la derecha de la pantalla. La
iluminación de fondo se activará y en la pantalla aparecerá primero “18:8.8.8.8g”. Tras la
estabilización de la báscula se visualizará, según la configuración, “0 g” o “0.00 oz”. La
báscula está lista para el pesaje y mostrará el peso en la pantalla digital o en la análoga.
Observaciones: Si tras encender la báscula, esta muestra un peso, calíbrela a 0
tocando el botón TARE.
Unidades de peso: Puede configurar la unidad de masa adecuada a su país pulsando
el botón g/oz (g = gramo / oz = onza) que se encuentra en la cara inferior de la báscula.
Asegúrese de que la báscula muestra los resultados en la unidad de masa que usted
prefiera.
Func ión de añadido de peso (tara): Puede calibrar la báscula a “0 g” tocando el botón
TARE. Coloque p. ej. una llave en la plataforma de pesaje y toque el botón TARE para
ajustar la báscula a “0 g” de nuevo. Este procedimiento se puede repetir tantas veces
como se desee hasta alcanzar la capacidad total de carga de la báscula (5 kg). Al retirar
el material a pesar se mostrará el peso total en negativo (visualización: símbolo
menos –).
Apagado automático de la báscula: Si el peso mostrado no varía en 30 segundos, la
báscula se apagará automáticamente. Puede prolongar la vida de la batería y ahorrar
carga apagando la báscula de forma manual después de cada uso, solo tiene que pulsar
el botón ON/OFF.

4. Garantía

Tenga en cuen ta: Bajo influencias electromagnéticas extremas, por ejemplo, al utilizar un
dispositivo de radio cerca de la báscula, el valor del indicador puede verse afectado. Una
vez que se ha detenido la influencia que alteraba, el producto se puede utilizar otra vez
para lo que ha sido diseñado, aunque es posible que necesite activarlo de nuevo.
Obligación legal de informar acerca de la eliminación de las baterías: No debe tirar las
baterías a la basura doméstica. Como consumidor, tiene la obligación legal de devolver

pour la première fois, et conservez-le dans un endroit sûr afin que cette information vous

1. Mise en marche
Insertion des piles : Enlevez le couvercle du compartiment à piles à l'arrière de la
balance et insérez les piles fournies (3 x 1,5 V AAA). Veuillez prendre garde à respecter la
polarité des piles (+/-).

vous assurer de ne laisser tomber aucun objet sur la
balance, car elle pourrait s’en trouver endommagée.
Nettoyez la balan
ce uniquement avec un chiffon humide. N’utilisez
pas de solvants ou de produits de nettoyage abrasifs. Ne la
plongez pas dans l'eau. Toutes les pièces en plastique des
balances devraient être nettoyées immédiatement après avoir été
en contact avec graisses, épices, vinaigre et autres produits
alimentaires fortement assaisonnés et colorés. Éviter tout contact
avec de l'acide citrique.
2. Commande
Activation de la balance : Placez la balance sur une surface régulière et ferme. La
balance est munie de deux touches tactiles ultra-sensibles (Sensor Touch). Après la mise
en marche de la balance, appuyez sur la touche ON/OFF à la droite de l’écran. Le rétro-
éclairage est activé et le symbole suivant apparaît à l’écran : « 18:8.8.8.8g ». Lorsque la
balance est stabilisée, il apparaît à l’écran les symboles « 0 g » ou « 0.00 oz » en fonction
du réglage. La balance est alors prête pour les pesées et vous pouvez lire le poids
affiché, soit sur l’écran analogue, soit sur l’écran numérique.
Conseil : Si après la mise en marche, un poids est affiché à l’écran, appuyez sur la
touche TARE pour remettre la balance à zéro.
Unités de poids : La touche g/oz située sur la face inférieure de la balance permet de
modifier l’unité de mesure en fonction des pays (g = Gramm / oz = once). Veillez à ce
que la balance soit réglée à l’unité qui vous est familière.
Fonction de remise à zéro (tare) : La touche TARE permet de remettre la balance à
« 0 g ». Par exemple, placez un poids sur la plateforme de pesée, appuyez sur la touche
TARE et remettez ainsi la balance à « 0 g ». Ce procédé peut être réitéré à souhait
jusqu’à ce que la capacité totale de la balance (5 kg) soit atteinte. Après le retrait du
poids, le poids total est affiché sous forme de valeur négative (écran : Symbole moins –).
Arrêt automatique de la balance : Si le poids affiché ne varie pas dans un délai de 30
secondes, la balance s’arrête automatiquement. Pour préserver les piles, vous pouvez
également arrêter manuellement la balance en appuyant sur la touche ON/OFF.

Questo simbolo sul prodotto o sulla confezione indica che la bilancia
non deve essere trattata come un normale rifiuto domestico, ma deve
essere consegnata ad un punto di raccolta per il riciclaggio di

SCHMITT. Avete acquistato una bilancia avente un altissimo standard tecnico e una
qualità certificata.
Si prega di leggere attentamente questo manuale prima di utilizzare la bilancia per la
prima volta; conservatelo in un luogo sicuro in modo che queste informazioni siano
sempre a portata di mano.
1. Per iniziare
Inserire la batteria: Aprire il coperchio del vano batteria sul lato inferiore della bilancia e
inserire le batterie in dotazione (3 x 1,5 V AAA). Fare attenzione alla corretta polarità delle
batterie (+/-).
Informazioni di sicurezza:
Fare attenzione alla caduta di oggetti sulla bilancia per
conseguente danneggiamento.
Pulire la bilancia con un panno umido. Non utilizzare solventi o
detergenti abrasivi. Non immergere nell’acqua. Tutte le parti in
plastica della bilancia vanno pulite subito dopo il contatto con
alimenti grassi, spezie, aceto e altri prodotti alimentari fortemente
speziati e colorati. Evitare il contatto con acido citrico.
2. Funzionamento
Accensione della bilancia: Porre la bilancia su una superficie piana e stabile. La bilancia
è dotata di tasti a sfioramento particolarmente sensibili (Sensor Touch). Per accendere la
bilancia, premere il tasto ON/OFF situato a destra accanto al display. La
retroilluminazione si attiverà e “18:8.8.8.8g” apparirà sul display. Dopo che la bilancia si è
stabilizzata, apparirà, a seconda delle impostazioni, “0 g” o “0.00 oz”. La bilancia è ora
pronta all'uso. Il peso può essere visualizzato in modalità analogica o digitale.
Nota: Se dopo l'accensione sul display appare il peso, toccare il tasto TARE per
impostare la bilancia sul valore zero.
Unità di peso: Premere il pulsante g/oz posto sul fondo della bilancia per selezionare
l'unità di peso desiderata (g = grammi / oz = once). Accertarsi che la bilancia sia
impostata sull'unità di peso desiderata.
Funzione di azzeramento (tara): Toccare il tasto TARE per impostare la bilancia su “0
g”. Ad esempio, porre una ciotola sulla piattaforma di pesatura e toccare il tasto TARE
per riportare la bilancia al valore “0 g”. Questa procedura può essere ripetuta fino al
raggiungimento della capacità massima della bilancia (5 kg). Dopo avere tolto il prodotto
pesato, il peso totale apparirà come valore negativo (sul display sarà visualizzato il
simbolo meno –).
Spegnimento automatico della bilancia: Se il peso visualizzato sul display non cambia
entro circa 30 secondi, la bilancia si spegne automaticamente. Per aumentare l'autonomia
della batteria, dopo l'uso è anche possibile spegnere manualmente la bilancia premendo il
pulsante ON/OFF.

4. Garanzia
WAAGEN-SCHMITT garantisce la modifica gratuita di prodotti con difetti risultanti dal
materiale usato o difetti di fabbricazione mediante riparazione o sostituzione fino a 3 anni
dalla data di acquisto. Compilate la sezione inerente la garanzia e fatela timbrare dal
rivenditore una volta effettuato l'acquisto. In caso di garanzia, restituite la bilancia al
rivenditore insieme alla sezione sulla garanzia dove deve essere indicato il motivo del
reclamo.
Attenzione: In caso di influenze elettromagnetiche estreme, ad esempio, quando si utilizza
un apparecchio radio nelle immediate vicinanze della bilancia, il valore dell'indicatore può
risultarne condizionato. Conclusosi tale fenomeno, il prodotto può essere nuovamente
utilizzato come previsto, anche se una riattivazione può risultare necessaria.
Obbligo giuridico di informare sullo smaltimento delle batterie: Le batterie non
costituiscono rifiuto domestico. In qualità di consumatori siete legalmente obbligati a
restituire le batterie. È possibile consegnare le batterie usate al punto di raccolta pubblica
del vostro territorio o laddove vengono vendute batterie dello stesso tipo.

Dit symbool op het product of op de verpakking ervan betekent dat
het product niet als normaal huishoudelijk afval mag worden
behandeld, maar echter moet worden ingeleverd bij een inzamelpunt
voor de recycling van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur.
Nadere inlichtingen zijn verkrijgbaar in uw gemeenschap, bij
gemeentelijke diensten voor afvalverwerking of in de winkel waar u
het product hebt aangeschaft.

WAAGEN-SCHMITT. U hebt een weegschaal aangeschaft van de hoogste technische
standaard en van bewezen kwaliteit.
Lees deze gebruikshandleiding a.u.b. zorgvuldig door voordat u de weegschaal voor het
eerst gebruikt, en bewaar de instructies op een veilige plek zodat deze informatie altijd
beschikbaar is wanneer u het nodig hebt.
1. Starten
De batterijen installeren: Open het klepje van de batterijhouder op de onderzijde van de
weegschaal en installeer de meegeleverde batterijen (3 x 1,5 V AAA). Let hierbij a.u.b. op
de juiste polariteit van de batterijen (+/-).
Veiligheidinformatie:
Laat a.u.b. geen voorwerpen op de weegschaal vallen, om
beschadiging van het product te voorkomen.
Reinig de weegschaal uitsluitend met ee
n vochtig doekje. Gebruik
geen enkele oplosmiddelen of agressieve reinigingsproducten.
Nooit in water dompelen. Alle kunststof onderdelen van de
weegschaal dienen onmiddellijk te worden gereinigd na contact
met vet, kruiden, azijn en andere sterk gekruide en gekleurde
levensmiddelen. Vermijd enig contact met citroenzuur.
2. Bediening
Inscha kelen van de weegsch aal: Zet de weegschaal op een stevige, vlakke
ondergrond. De weegschaal is voorzien van een gevoelige sensortoets (Sensor Touch).
Druk om de weegschaal in te schakelen op de toets “ON/OFF” rechts van het scherm.
De achterverlichting gaat aan en op het scherm verschijnt eerst “18:8.8.8.8g”. Nadat de
weegschaal zich heeft gestabiliseerd, verschijnt afhankelijk van de instelling “0 g” of “0.00
oz” op het scherm. De weegschaal is nu klaar om te wegen en u kunt het aangegeven
gewicht zowel op de analoge als de digitale aanduiding aflezen.
Aanwijzingen: Als na het inschakelen van de weegschaal een gewicht wordt
aangegeven, druk dan op de toets “TARE” om de weegschaal op nul te stellen.
Gewichtseen heden: U kunt de voor uw land specifieke gewichtseenheid (g = gram/oz =
ounce) veranderen door op de knop “g/oz” aan de onderkant van de weegschaal te
drukken. Let erop dat de weegschaal op de voor u gebruikelijke gewichtseenheid is in
gesteld.
Doorweeg-(tarra-)func tie: U kunt de weegschaal op “0 g” instellen door op de knop
“TARE” te drukken. Zet bijvoorbeel een schotel op het weegplatform, druk de knop
“TARE” en stel daarmee de weegschaal weer in op “0 g”. U kunt dit net zo vaak herhalen
tot u de totale capaciteit van de weegschaal (5 kg) hebt bereikt. Als u de te wegen
producten van de weegschaal afhaalt, wordt het totaalgewicht als een negatieve waarde
(scherm: minteken –) aangegeven.
Automatisch uitschakelen van de weegschaal: Als het aangegeven gewicht gedurende
ongeveer 30 seconden niet verandert, schakelt de weegschaal automatisch uit. Om de
batterijen te sparen kunt u de weegschaal na het gebruik ook handmatig uitschakelen,
door op de toets “ON/OFF” te drukken.

4. Garantie
WAAGEN-SCHMITT garandeert de kosteloze correctie van defecten als gevolg van
materiaal- of fabricagefouten middels reparatie of inwisseling, binnen 3 jaar vanaf de
aankoopdatum. Laat uw dealer a.u.b. de garantiesectie invullen en stempelen wanneer u
het product aanschaft. In het geval van claims onder garantie, lever de weegschaal a.u.b.
terug in bij uw dealer, samen met de garantiesectie waarin de reden van uw klacht staat
beschreven.
Opgelet a.u.b.: De indicatorwaarde kan worden aangetast door extreme
elektromagnetische invloeden, bijv. wanneer u een radioapparaat in de directe omgeving
van de weegschaal gebruikt. Nadat de verstorende bron is gestopt, kan het product weer
op normale wijze worden gebruikt, al moet deze mogelijk opnieuw worden ingeschakeld.
Wettelijk verplichte informatie over het afvoeren van batterijen: Batterijen behoren niet
tot huishoudelijk afval. U bent als consument wettelijk verplicht batterijen in te zamelen. U
kunt uw oude batterijen inleveren bij openbare inzamelpunten in uw gemeenschap of op
willekeurige plaatsen waar batterijen van hetzelfde type worden verkocht.
