Omelet Maker Operation
• On rst use, the protecve coang might burn o, causing smoking. This is NOT harmful
and will disappear aer a short me.
• When using for the rst me, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER!
• Posion the appliance on a at, heat-resistant, level surface.
• Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet. The red power light (3) will come
on, to indicate that the appliance is switched on.
• The green temperature pilot light (4) will stay o, to indicate the appliance is warming
up. When the green pilot light goes on, it means that the preset cooking temperature is
reached and unit is ready for use.
Note: During use, this pilot light will come on and o regularly. This simply means that the
thermostat is regulang the appliance’s temperature.
Cauon: During operaon, the baking plates and the surfaces on the appliance get hot.
The appliance might also generate steam. Pay aenon not to get burned. Always use
oven mis for protecon, when opening or closing the lid.
• Open the appliance, using the front handle (1) and an oven mi. Avoid contact with the
hot surfaces.
• Lightly brush the lower cooking plate (6) with buer, margarine, or cooking oil. For best
results, use a cooking spray.
• Beat the eggs in a bowl to make an omelet. Count approximately 3 large eggs to make 2
omelets.
• Pour the omelet preparaon into 1 or the 2 lower cavies. (Do not overll: approximately
1 1/2 large eggs per cavity), and close the lid of the appliance.
• Bake unl golden brown, or when the omelet are cooked throughout (around 8 minutes).
• When the omelets are ready, remove them with a plasc or wooden spatula. Never use
any sharp metallic objects, as this might damage the non-sck coang of the plates.
Tips:
• Wipe each omelet plate with a damp cloth before use.
• Always preheat the Omelet Maker with the lid closed.
• Eggs should be at room temperature (not from the refrigerator) for best results when
making omelets.
• Whisk the eggs with a hand whisk in a large bowl to achieve a well-aerated egg mixture.
• Whisk the egg mixture immediately prior to lling the omelet plates. Do not allow the
egg mixture to sit for long periods as this will aect the how much the omelets rise as they
cook.
• Actual cooking me may vary, depending on the ingredients and type of omelets; in
general, count 7 to 9 minutes cooking me per batch. The more batches you do, the lower
the cooking me.
• Eggs will rise while cooking. Do not overll!
