Do not raise

Position Sara Combilizer next to the bed.
Align patient’s hip with the gap between
back support plate and seat plate.
Place Sara Combilizer in horizontal position. Fold down
shoulder supports (A).
Put armrests in horizontal position, levelled with mattress (B).
Remove pillow (C).
Fold away safety belts (D).
Apply brakes on bed. Position one caregiver on each side of the bed.
Fold down bed rail on transfer side.
Place sliding aid under patient.
Place a pillow under patient’s head.
Position Sara Combilizer 2 to 5 cm (1 to 2 inches) (A) lower than the bed.
Adjust foot support (B) to avoid hitting patient’s feet during transfer.
Apply brakes on Sara Combilizer.

Remove sliding aid.
Secure patient with chest, hip, knee and head safety belts.
Fold up shoulder supports, adjust width to fit patient.
Attach foot support.
Transfer patient to the Sara Combilizer.
Position patient’s head. Align patient’s
hip with the gap between back support
plate and seat plate.

Apply brakes on bed.
Fold down bed rail on transfer side if any.
Place sliding aid under patient.
Apply brakes on Sara Combilizer.

Position Sara Combilizer close to the bed (A).
Adjust Sara Combilizer height to 5 cm (2 inches) above the bed (B).
Lower Sara Combilizer on top of the bed for an even transfer (C).
Put armrests in horizontal position (A).
Adjust foot support (B) away from patient’s feet.
Detach and fold away all safety belts (C) on side facing bed.
Fold down shoulder support (B) on the bedside
on Sara Combilizer.

Remove the sliding aid from under patient.
Remove wrinkles or unevenness on mattress or patient’s
clothing to prevent pressure or discomfort.
Fold up bed rails if any.
Position one caregiver on the side of Sara Combilizer
and one on the opposite side of the receiving bed.
Transfer patient with the sliding aid to the bed without
hitting the patient’s head or feet.
Release brakes and move Sara
Combilizer away from the bed.

Position Sara Combilizer in an
upright and lowest chair position.
Carefully tilt Sara Combilizer
towards transfer side so patient’s
feet can reach the floor.
Place aid in front of patient.
Apply brakes on the aid.
Prepare and place the aid nearby.
Apply brakes on Sara Combilizer.
Help patient to a standing position.
Support and guide the patient towards the aid.
Fold down shoulder support and
remove armrests on transfer side.
Detach all safety belts.
Carefully rotate patient to transfer side.

Prepare and place the aid nearby.
Apply brakes on Sara Combilizer.
Position Sara Combilizer in an
upright and lowest chair position.
Fold down shoulder support and remove armrests
on the transfer side.
Move patient with the aid, close to Sara Combilizer.
Apply brakes on the aid.
Adjust Sara Combilizer to the patient’s sitting
height. Slightly tilt Sara Combilizer towards
transfer side. Support patient during movement
into a seated position.
Rotate patient to a face forward
seated position.
Lift up and position patient’s feet
on foot support.
Tilt Sara Combilizer to a
horizontal chair position.
Support patient.
Attach and adjust the required safety belts.
Attach armrest and adjust width and height.
Fold up shoulder support and adjust width.
