Setting up a controller-free interface
ASUS Xtion allows you to enjoy a touchless and intuitive
controller-free experience with its real-time capturing and tracking
of your movements.
Setting up the Xtion device and driver
To set up the Xtion device and driver:
1. Install the Xtion driver from the bundled support CD.

and Xtion Portal.
Click to get the user manual
in PDF format.
Click to check for the latest
firmware update.

2. Connect your Xtion to the USB port of another device such as a
laptop, desktop PC, or the ASUS WAVI.

IMPORTANT! Xtion is supported under Windows® 7 operating
system (OS) only. Connecting Xtion under other OS versions may
cause an unexpected error to occur.

Setting up the Xtion Portal interface
To set up the Xtion Portal interface:
1. Locate the Xtion
Portal icon from the
Windows® taskbar and
right-click it to launch
the Settings screen.
NOTES:
• Directly connect your Xtion to the USB port of your notebook or
desktop PC.
• For details on connecting your Xtion to the ASUS WAVI, refer to
the ASUS WAVI's documentation.
3. Set up the Xtion Portal interface to enjoy a motion-control
environment.
NOTE: For more details, refer to the next section Setting up the
Xtion Portal interface.

2. Click each tab from the Settings screen to display their sub-
menus.
General tab
Allows you to adjust the
display resolution and
schedule the Live Update
check.
Preference tab
Allows you to set the
tutorial display, prompt
tone, pointer speed, and
on-screen help information
display.

Allows you to specify the
location of the image files
you want to import, slide-
show duration, and the file
format to be scanned and
displayed on your high-
definition monitor.
Music tab
Allows you to specify the
location of the music files
you want to import and the
file format to be scanned
and displayed on your
high-definition monitor.

Allows you to specify the
location of the video files
you want to import and the
file format to be scanned
and displayed on your
high-definition monitor.
Game tab
Allows you to specify the
location and type of the
computer games you want
to play with Xtion.

NOTES:
• Under the Set up the Game field, click Browse to locate the
game’s executable file (.exe file).
• Under the Set up the Game cover field, click Browse to locate
the game’s image cover.
• Select Game pad, Racing, Sports, or Casual as the game’s
controller type.
Internet tab
Allows you to set the
accounts you want to visit
using Xtion.
IMPORTANT! You need
to create user accounts
for each social network-
ing site (Picasa, Flickr,
YouTube, and Face-
book) to be able to visit
these social networking
sites using Xtion.
NOTES:
• Once successfully logged in to a site, the status shows V.
• To get access to free or premium applications, register on the
ASUS Xtion's official store at www.xtionstore.com. For more
details, refer to the next section Registering on the ASUS Xtion
Store.

Registering on the ASUS Xtion Store
Register on the ASUS Xtion Store to download games and applica-
tions.
To register on the ASUS Xtion Store:
1. Visit the official online ASUS Xtion Store at www.xtionstore.
com
2. Click Register on the top navigation menu.
3. Enter your name, e-mail address, and assign the password for
your user account.
4. Select your preferred payment method.
5. Provide information on your preferred payment method to
complete the registration process.
6. You can now use your registered e-mail address and password
to log into the ASUS Xtion Store.
NOTES:
• Your credit card will not be charged for those free games and
applications that are offered on the ASUS Xtion Store.
• You may buy games and applications on the ASUS Xtion Store.
• ASUS Xtion Store accepts most major credit cards, and other
popular online payment solutions such as Paypal.

Launching Xtion Portal
Xtion Portal is a user interface that allows you to use motion
gestures to control high-definition contents from your computer or
ASUS WAVI to your high-definition display.
To launch Xtion Portal:
• Double-click the Xtion Portal icon on
the desktop.You can now start using
motion gestures to control and enjoy
high-definition contents such as
photos, movies, or games from your
computer to your high-definition
display.
IMPORTANT! When the Xtion Portal is running, DO NOT
disconnect the Xtion.

Installation d’une interface sans
télécommande
Le Xtion d’ASUS vous permet de bénéficier d’une expérience sans
télécommande, intuitive et sans contact, via sa technologie de cap-
ture et de suivi en temps réel de vos mouvements.
Installation du dispositif et du pilote Xtion
Pour installer le dispositif et le pilote Xtion:
1. Installez le pilote Xtion en utilisant le CD support intégré.
Cliquez pour installer le pilote
Xtion et Xtion Portal.
Cliquez pour obtenir le manuel
d'utilisation en format PDF.
Cliquez pour contrôler la dernière
mise à jour du firmware.

3. Installez l'interface Xtion Portal pour bénéficier d'un envi-
ronnement de contrôle des mouvements.

REMARQUES:
• Dans le champ Set up the Game (Installer le jeu), cliquez sur
Browse (Rechercher) pour localiser le fichier exécutable du jeu
(fichier .exe).
•
Dans le champ Set up the Game cover (Installer la couverture du
jeu), cliquez sur Browse (Rechercher) pour localiser l'image de la cou-
verture du jeu.

Sélectionnez Game pad (Manette de jeu), Racing(Course), Sports ,
ou Casual (Grand public), selon le type de commande du jeu.

Une fois connecté sur un site, le statut indique V

Pour accéder aux applications et aux jeux gratuits ou premium, en-
registrez-vous sur le site officiel du magasin Xtion d'ASUS, sur www.

des comptes pour les sites

S'enregistrer sur Xtion Store d'ASUS
Enregistrez-vous sur Xtion Store d'ASUS pour télécharger des jeux
et des applications.
Pour s''enregistrer sur Xtion Store d'ASUS:
1.
Visitez le site ociel Xtion Store d'ASUS sur www.xtionstore.com
2. Cliquez sur Register (Enregistrer) dans le menu supérieur de
navigation.
3. Saisissez votre nom, votre adresse e-mail et assignez le mot de
passe pour votre compte utilisateur.
4. Sélectionnez votre méthode de paiement préféré.
5. Pour terminer votre enregistrement, veuillez indiquer les
informations sur votre méthode de paiement préférée.
6. Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser l'adresse email et le mot de passe
dénis lors de l'enregistrement pour vous connecter sur Xtion
Store d'ASUS.
REMARQUES:
•
Votre carte de crédit ne sera pas débitée pour ces applications et jeux
gratuits, proposés sur Xtion Store d'ASUS
• Vous pouvez acheter des jeux et des applications sur Xtion Store
d'ASUS.
• Xtion Store d'ASUS accepte la plupart des cartes de crédit et
autres solutions de paiement en ligne, comme Paypal.
