• Swallowing batteries can be extremely dangerous. Keep the batteries and scale out of the reach of
small children. Should a battery be swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.
• Keep scale away from moisture, dust, chemicals, toiletries, liquid cosmetics, extreme hot and cold
temperatures, and sources of heat (e.g., open flame, radiators).
• Prevent impact with hard objects.
• Do not press the button violently or with pointed objects.
IMPORTANT
• Do not place any object on the scale when it is not in use.
• Strong electromagnetic fields (e.g. cell phones) may impair the accuracy of the scale.

General notes
• The scale has a capacity of 44 lb (20 kg/705 oz). Measurements are displayed in 0.01 lb (5 g/0.18 oz)
divisions.
• In case of diering measurements (between the scale and app), only use the measured values
displayed on the scale.
CAUTION
• Cleaning: You can clean the scale with a damp cloth and a little washing up liquid, if required.
• Never immerse the scale in water or rinse it under running water.
• The scale is not intended to be used for commercial purposes.
• Repairs may only be performed by an authorized service center. Contact Customer Service with any
questions regarding operation, usage, or repair of this product.

Battery Handling Safety Precautions
WARNING – To reduce the risk of serious personal injury:
• If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, rinse the aected area with water and seek
medical assistance.
• Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. Store batteries out of the
reach of small children.
• Keep batteries away from children. Only adults should handle batteries.
• If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
• Protect batteries from excessive heat.
• Risk of explosion! Never throw batteries into a fire. Dispose or recycle spent/discharged
batteries in compliance with all applicable laws.
• Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety and usage instructions.
• Do not charge or short-circuit batteries.
CAUTION
• Always use the size and type of battery indicated.
• Do not mix a used battery with a new battery, or mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Insert the batteries observing the proper polarity (+/-) as indicated.
• Always replace all batteries at the same time.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Do not disassemble, open or crush batteries.
NOTICE
• Clean the battery contacts and those of the device prior to installation.
• Remove spent or discharged batteries from the product.

4. Introduction
A baby‘s physical development requires a great deal of energy, which is why regular weight control is
important; it puts parents’ minds at ease to know their baby is getting sucient nutrition and is developing
properly. This scale ensures you can always keep an eye on your child‘s weight to ensure their healthy
development.
This baby scale has the following features:
• Curved weighing surface.
• Large, easy-to-read LCD display.
• Automatic and manual hold function for recording baby’s weight.
• Integrated tape measure (~59 in or 150 cm).
• Tare weighing.
• 44 lb (20 kg/705 oz) weight capacity.
• Automatic shuto.
• Adjustable between weight units (kg/lb/oz).
• Storage of the last 10 measurements.
• Transfer of measured values to the „beurer BabyCare“ app.

6. Before First Use
Remove the Battery Compartment Cover located underneath the scale and insert three „AAA“ size
alkaline batteries (included) according to the polarity markings inside the compartment. Replace Battery
Compartment Cover. When „ “ appears in the LCD Display, the batteries need to be replaced. Note
that when replacing batteries, you will need to pair the scale with your mobile device again .
After batteries are inserted properly, „ “ will flash in the LCD Display. At this point, you have 120
seconds to pair the scale with your mobile device via Bluetooth
®
. If you do not pair the scale with
your mobile device, note that „ app “ will flash for 10 seconds whenever you first power on the scale.
The indicator is no longer displayed once synchronisation with the app is successful.
7. To Use
You can transfer the measured weight values to your paired mobile device via Bluetooth
®
using the
„beurer BabyCare“ app. Keep your mobile device close to the scale to maintain an active Bluetooth
®
connection during initial use. Press the Power/Tare Button to activate the scale. To use the scale with
your mobile device, start with step 1; otherwise, press any button to cancel app use and skip to step 6.
1.
Download the free „beurer BabyCare“ app from the Apple App Store (iOS) or from Google Play
(Android™).
2. Activate Bluetooth
®
in your mobile device’s settings.
NOTE: Bluetooth
®
devices, such as this scale, may not be visible in the general settings of your de-
vice’s Bluetooth
®
device list.
3. Start the „beurer BabyCare“ app and follow the instructions.
4.
Enter user data. Settings for baby’s date of birth (Day, Month, and Year) must be entered into the
„beurer BabyCare“ App.
5. The scale is successfully connected to the app when the Bluetooth
®
symbol appears in the LCD
Display.
6. When „0.00 lb“ appears in the LCD Display, the scale is ready for use.
7. Carefully place the baby onto the weighing surface, taking particular care with the baby‘s head.

If you do not want to place the baby directly on the weighing surface and prefer to use a towel or
blanket, place it on the scale first and then press the Tare Button to „zero out“ the LCD Display;
„Tare“ appears in the LCD Display and the weight resets to zero. Now place the baby onto the scale.

This scale has both automatic and manual „HOLD“ functions. The auto hold function displays the
baby‘s weight when it has stabilized enough to detect an exact value; it remains displayed for 120
seconds.
NOTE: If the weight cannot be determined automatically after 8 seconds, the baby scale averages
the weight over 4 seconds (flashing display of the weight on the baby scale display).

If the baby is moving around too much, press the HOLD Button when the baby is as calm as he/she will
become. Within six seconds, the word „HOLD“ stops flashing and the averaged weight is displayed.
11.
To shut the auto hold function o completely, press and hold the HOLD Button for three seconds.
„HOLD“ and „O“ will appear in the LCD Display. To reactivate the auto hold function, press and hold
the HOLD Button again; „HOLD“ and „On“ will appear in the LCD Display.
12. To transfer the measured weight to the app (if you are using the Bluetooth
®
function), open the app
and press the Bluetooth
®
Button on the front panel of the scale. The scale will shut o when data
transfer is complete.
13. If you decide not to transfer the measured weight to the app or are not using the Bluetooth
®
function,
the scale will shut o after 120 seconds. To shut o the scale manually, press and hold the Power/
Tare Button for three seconds.

NOTE: Measurements saved on the baby scale before it is paired with your mobile device cannot be
transferred.
Subsequent synchronization with the app
If you have not synchronized the baby scale with the „beurer BabyCare“ app during initial use, you can
also do this later.
1. Press the Power/Tare Button to power the scale on.
2. „App“ flashes in the LCD Display for 10 seconds. If the app is open, it will attempt to connect to the
scale for 10 seconds.
Alternatively:
Press the Bluetooth
®
button whilst the baby scale is in operation. If the app is open, the baby scale
can be connected for 120 seconds.
3. The baby scale is successfully connected to the app when the Bluetooth
®
symbol appears in the
LCD Display.
8. Additional information
Saving the measured values on the baby scale and transferring them to the app
A maximum of 10 measurements can be saved in the baby scale. The saved measurements are
transferred automatically to the app if you open the app within the Bluetooth
®
range and Bluetooth
®
is
switched on on the scale. It is not possible to automatically transfer data when the baby scale is switched
o.
Deleting Measurements
To delete all measurements stored in the scale, press and hold the Bluetooth
®
Button for five seconds.
Using the tape measure
Pull out the tape measure on the top of the baby scale to measure the baby’s length and other features.
To retract, press the Button next to the tape measure on the bottom of the scale. Enter the length and
head circumference of your baby into the „beurer BabyCare“ app.
Changing the batteries
Your scale is equipped with a low battery indicator. If you operate the scale with flat batteries, „ “ will
appear on the display and the scale will automatically switch o. In this case, the batteries must be re-
placed (3 x 1.5 V AAA). All saved measurements remain saved.
NOTE:
• You have to re-synchronise the baby scale with the app (see „Initial use with the app“ section) after
replacing the batteries.
• When replacing the batteries, use batteries of the same type, make and capacity.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
9. Care and Maintenance
• The baby scale should be cleaned from time to time.
• Clean the scale with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not immerse the scale in water or rinse it
under running water.
• Store the scale in a cool, dry place when not in use; ensure no objects are placed on the scale during
storage. If storing the scale for an extended period, remove the batteries.
IMPORTANT
• Never use harsh solvents or cleaning products!
• Do not submerge the baby scale in water.
• Do not rinse the baby scale under running water.

• Do not clean the baby scale in the dish washer.

Notes on electromagnetic compatibility
• The device is suitable for use in all environments listed in these instructions for use, including domestic
environments.
• The use of the device may be limited in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances. This could result in
issues such as error messages or the failure of the display/device.
• Avoid using this device directly next to other devices or stacked on top of other devices, as this could lead
to faulty operation. If, however, it is necessary to use the device in the manner stated, this device as well
as the other devices must be monitored to ensure they are working properly.
• The use of accessories other than those specified or provided by the manufacturer of this device can lead
to an increase in electromagnetic emissions or a decrease in the device’s electromagnetic immunity; this
can result in faulty operation.
• Failure to comply with the above can impair the performance of the device.
11. Troubleshooting Guide
Display Cause Solution
No flat, stable surface. Place the scale on a flat, non-carpeted surface.
Re-tare the scale.
The maximum weight capacity

until the scale displays „0.00 lb“ and repeat the
measurement.

range is about 50 feet (~15m). Walls
and ceilings reduce this range significantly.
Radio waves may also cause interference, so
do not place the scale near devices such as

Limited Lifetime Warranty For Original Purchaser
Your Beurer Baby Scale, model BY90, is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship
for the life of the product under normal conditions of intended use and service. This warranty extends
only to the original retail purchaser and does not extend to retailers or subsequent owners. We will, at our
option, repair or replace the Beurer Baby Scale, model BY90, without additional charge, for any part or
parts covered by these written warranties. No refunds will be given. Repair or replacement is our only
responsibility and your only remedy under this written warranty. If replacement parts for defective
materials are not available, Beurer reserves the right to make product substitutions in lieu of repair or
replacement. For warranty service contact our customer service department at 1-800-536-0366 or at
[e-mail] to provide a description of the problem. If the problem is deemed to be within the scope
of the limited lifetime warranty, you will be asked to mail the product at your costs in its original package
with proof of purchase, your name, address and phone number. If the problem is not deemed to be within
the scope of the limited lifetime warranty, we will provide a quotation for repair respectively replacement
and return shipping fee. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the
attachment of unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; misapplication;
lack of reasonable care with respect to the product; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use
of electrical/power supply; old worn batteries; normal wear; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction
or damage of an operating part as a result of failure to comply with instructions for use or to provide
manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transit damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental
conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or
repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of Beurer. This warranty is void if
the product is ever used in a commercial or business environment. The maximum liability of Beurer under
this warranty is limited to the purchase price actually paid by the customer for the product covered by
the warranty, as confirmed by proof of purchase, regardless of the amount of any other direct or indirect
damage suered by the customer. This warranty is e ective only if the product is purchased and operated
in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adaptation
to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured,
approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under

4. Introducción
El desarrollo físico de un bebé requiere una gran energía. Esta es la razón por la que el control regular del
peso es importante; a los padres les tranquiliza saber que su bebé está teniendo una nutrición adecuada
y se está desarrollando correctamente. Esta báscula le permitirá controlar el peso de su bebé para garan-
tizar que tenga un desarrollo sano.
Esta báscula tiene las siguientes características:

Retire la tapa del compartimiento de las baterías ubicada en la parte inferior de la báscula e introduzca
tres baterías alcalinas tamaño “AAA” (incluidas) de acuerdo con las marcas de polaridad indicadas en el
compartimiento. Reinstale la tapa del compartimiento de las baterías. Cuando aparezca “ ” en la pantalla
LCD, es necesario reemplazar las baterías. Tenga en cuenta que, cuando reemplace las baterías, deberá
volver a vincular la báscula a su dispositivo celular.
Una vez introducidas las baterías correctamente, “ ” parpadeará en la pantalla LCD. En este momen-
to, tendrá 120 segundos para vincular la báscula con su dispositivo celular vía Bluetooth
®
. Si no vincula
la báscula con su dispositivo celular, cuando encienda la báscula por primera vez, “app” parpadeará
durante 10 segundos. Este indicador dejará de mostrarse cuando se haya realizado correctamente la
sincronización con la aplicación.

7. Uso
Puede transmitir las lecturas del peso a su dispositivo celular vinculado vía Bluetooth
®
con la aplica-
ción “Beurer BabyCare”. Coloque su dispositivo celular cerca de la báscula para mantener la conexión
Bluetooth
®
activada durante el uso inicial. Presione el botón de Encendido/Tare para activar la báscula.
Para utilizar la báscula con su dispositivo celular, comience con el paso1; en caso contrario, presione
cualquier botón para cancelar el uso de la aplicación y saltar al paso6.

Descargue la aplicación gratuita “Beurer BabyCare” de Apple App Store (iOS) o de Google Play Store
(Android™).
2. Active el Bluetooth

en la configuración de su dispositivo celular.

3. Inicie la aplicación “Beurer BabyCare” y siga las instrucciones.
4. Introduzca la información del usuario. Los ajustes de la fecha de nacimiento de su bebé (día, mes y
año) se deben introducir en la aplicación “Beurer BabyCare”.
5. La báscula estará conectada correctamente a la aplicación cuando aparezca el símbolo Bluetooth
®
en la pantalla LCD.
6. Cuando aparezca “0.00lb” en la pantalla LCD, la báscula está lista para usarse.

Coloque con cuidado al bebé sobre la superficie de pesaje, teniendo especial cuidado con su cabeza.
8. Si no desea colocar al bebé directamente sobre la superficie de pesaje y prefiere usar una toalla o un
cobertor sobre la báscula, coloque la toalla o el cobertor sobre la báscula y, a continuación, presione
el botón Tare para “poner en cero” la pantalla LCD; la palabra “Tare” se mostrará en la pantalla LCD
y el peso se restablecerá a cero. A continuación, coloque el bebé sobre la báscula.
9. Esta báscula tiene funciones HOLD (Retener) automática y manual. La función automática de retener
muestra el peso cuando se ha estabilizado lo suficiente para detectar un valor exacto, y permanece
mostrado durante 120 segundos.
NOTA: Si no se puede determinar automáticamente el peso del bebé después de 8 segundos, la
báscula realizará un promedio del peso durante 4 segundos (el peso parpadeará en la
pantalla de la báscula).
10. Si el bebé se mueve demasiado, presione el botón HOLD cuando el bebé esté lo más calmado po-
sible. Transcurrido un máximo de seis segundos, la palabra “HOLD” dejará de parpadear y se mos-
trará el peso promedio.
11. Para desactivar por completo la función de retención automática, presione y mantenga presionado el
botón HOLD durante tres segundos. Aparecerá”HOLD” y “O” en la pantallaLCD para indicar que está
desactivada. Para volver a activar la función de retención automática, presione y mantenga presionado
otra vez el botón HOLD; aparecerá “HOLD” y “On” en la pantalla LCD para indicar que está activada.
12. Para transmitir la lectura del peso a la aplicación (si está utilizando la función Bluetooth
®
), abra la apli-
cación y presione el botón Bluetooth
®
ubicado en el panel frontal de la báscula. La báscula se apagará
una vez que se haya completado la transmisión de datos.
13. Si decide no transmitir la lectura del peso a la aplicación o no está utilizando la función Bluetooth
®
,
la báscula se apagará después de 120 segundos. Para apagar la báscula manualmente, presione y
mantenga presionado el botón de Encendido/Tare durante tres segundos.

NOTA: No se transmitirán las lecturas guardadas en la báscula antes de su vinculación con su disposi-
tivo celular.
Sincronización posterior con la aplicación
Si no ha sincronizado la báscula con la aplicación“Beurer BabyCare” durante el uso inicial, puede hacer-
lo más tarde.
1. Presione el botón de Encendido/Tare para encender la báscula.
2. “App” parpadeará en la pantalla LCD durante 10 segundos. Si la aplicación está abierta, intentará
conectarse con la báscula durante 10 segundos.
Opcionalmente:
Presione el botón Bluetooth
®
mientras la báscula está funcionando. Si la aplicación está abierta, la
báscula puede conectarse durante 120 segundos.

8. Información adicional
Guardado de las lecturas en la báscula y transmisión a la aplicación
Se puede guardar un máximo de 10 lecturas en la báscula. Las lecturas guardadas se transmitirán auto-
máticamente a la aplicación si la abre dentro del alcance del Bluetooth
®
y el Bluetooth
®
está activado en
la báscula. No es posible transmitir datos automáticamente cuando la báscula está apagada.
Borrado de lecturas
Para borrar todas las lecturas guardadas en la báscula, presione y mantenga presionado el botón Blue-
tooth
®
durante cinco segundos.
Uso de la cinta métrica
Retire la cinta métrica ubicada en la parte superior de la báscula para medir la estatura del bebé y otras
características. Para volver a guardarla, presione el botón que está junto a la cinta métrica en la parte
inferior de la báscula. Introduzca la estatura y el perímetro cefálico de su bebé en la aplicación “Beurer
BabyCare”.
Reemplazo de las baterías
La báscula está equipada con un indicador de batería baja. Si la báscula está funcionando con baterías
gastadas, “ ” aparecerá en la pantalla y la báscula se apagará automáticamente. En este caso, se deben
reemplazar las baterías (3 baterías “AAA” de 1.5V). Todas las lecturas guardadas estarán a salvo.
NOTA:
• Después de reemplazar las baterías, deberá volver a sincronizar la báscula con la aplicación (consulte la
sección “Uso inicial de la aplicación”).
• Cuando reemplace las baterías, utilice baterías del mismo tipo, marca y capacidad.
• No use baterías recargables.
9. Cuidado y mantenimiento
• La báscula para bebés debe limpiarse de vez en cuando.
• Limpie la báscula con un trapo húmedo y con detergente suave. No sumerja la báscula en agua ni la
enjuague en agua corriente.
• Guarde la báscula en un lugar fresco y seco cuando no la use; asegúrese de que no haya objetos
colocados sobre la báscula cuando esté guardada. Si va a guardar la báscula durante un periodo largo,
retire las baterías.
IMPORTANTE
• ¡No utilice solventes ni productos de limpieza agresivos!
