General Information
The Bristan Timed Flow Shower Panel has been designed, manufactured and tested to
the highest standards and satisfies the requirements of the Water Su ly (Water Fittings)
Regulations 1999 and current bylaws
Designed to be used with systems designed to BS 6700.
BS6700 recommends the tem erature of stored water should never exceed 65ºC. A
stored water tem erature of 60ºC is considered sufficient to meet all normal
requirements and will minimise the build u of lime scale in hard water areas (see Ma
of Hard Water Regions in the UK on age 18).
If the fitting is installed at low ressure (tank fed), then the minimum distance from the
highest installed osition of the showerhead to the underside of the stored water su ly
should be at least 10 metres to ensure adequate erformance.
This shower valve should be installed in com liance with the Water Su ly (Water
Fittings) Regulations 1999 and the Scottish Byelaws 2004.

Flush through the i ework to ensure
removal of debris. Turn off the water
su ly and close any isolating valves.

Position the wall bracket onto the wall
surface in the desired osition bearing in
mind the suggested distance (2100mm)
from the floor to the shower head.
Using a s rit level to ensure the wall
bracket is level and mark out the fixing
holes.

holes in the wall.
Drill suitable holes in the wall surface at
the marked ositions using a suitable drill
bit and insert the wall lugs as necessary.
If wall lugs are required us a 6mm drill
bit.
Secure the wall bracket to the wall
surface.

Using a suitable screw driver remove the
bottom end cover.
Pull the ush button cover u from the
anel and remove.

ush it down so that the locking late fits
securely into the wall bracket.

Ensure the shower anel is vertical (using
a s irit level) and flat against the wall and
mark the bottom fixing holes either side of
the ush button.
Remove the shower anel from the wall by
lifting it out of the wall bracket.

Fit the shower anel to the wall ensuring
the locking late fits securely into the wall
bracket and line u the holes in the
bottom of the anel with the holes drilled
in the wall surface.
Secure the shower anel to the wall using
the screws rovided.
Refit the ush button cover, ush the
bottom end cover into the bottom of the
shower anel and tighten the end cover

Ensure the telesco ic connector is fully
extended by ulling it u to access the
built in isolation valve.

(not su lied) onto the thread of the
telesco ic connector to easily ull it u
and fully extend.
Connect the water su ly using a 3/4” BSP
female connection with a suitable sealing
washer (not su lied). Alternatively use a
suitable sealing ta e on the thread to
create a water tight seal.
Turn on the water su ly to the shower
anel and o en the built in isolation valve.

Your fitting has a high quality finish
and should be treated with care to
reserve the visible surfaces. All
finishes will wear if not cleaned
correctly. The only safe way to clean
your roduct is to wi e with a soft
dam cloth. Stains can be removed
using washing u liquid.
All bathroom cleaning roducts
( owders and liquids) will damage the
surface of your fitting, even the non-
scratch cleaners.

or disinfectants or those containing
alcohol, hydrochloric acid or
hos horic acid.

We advise that the shower is regularly
serviced in hard water areas to
maintain the flow of water (see ma of
Hard Water Regions in the UK on
age 18).
Isolate the water su ly to the shower
anel by either:
• Closing the isolation valve on the
telesco ic connection or
• Turning the blended water su ly
off at the hot and cold su lies.

Your Bristan shower head has rub –
clean nozzles for easy cleaning.
Sim ly rub your fingers across the
rubber s ray jets regularly to remove
any scale or debris.
The hardness of the water in your
area will determine how often you
should clean your shower head.
