�LIMITATIONS OF USE AND WARNINGS
• Failure to observe the instructions and warnings in this manual invalidates
all performance statements and could result in damage to the unit.
• Water temperature should not exceed 122°F (50°C).
The Decontamination Kit (EVADSK) includes one (1) breathing tube, outlet plug
(PA3PG), one (1) filter inlet plug (EVAICP67), white pad and two (2) gaskets.
Cleaning
The EVA Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) system should be cleaned
and inspected after each use and prior to storage. Detach the battery pack,
breathing tube, and loose-fitting hood from the blower unit. Inspect all parts for
damage or other signs of excessive wear. Replace all damaged parts prior to
storage or next use. Refer to the EVA and EVAHL User Manuals for additional
guidance.
Inspect Prior to Use
Inspect the sealing groove on the upper EVA / EVAHL housing, breathing
tube outlet plug / gasket, and filter inlet plug / gasket. Wipe away debris as
necessary to ensure a secure seal.
�WARNING
Bullard Decontamination is compatible with
EVA (serial no. > 48500) and EVAHL (serial no. > 9000).
Use with serial numbers < 48500 / 9000 will result in water ingress which
will damage the internal components and void the warranty.

Cleaning the blower unit
The following chemicals have been tested and approved as cleaning agents
for the blower unit.
• Process NPD (1.256) from Steris
• Spor-Klenz (undiluted) from Steris
• Clorox liquid bleach at 10% concentration
• Sani-cloth HB wipes
• 100% Methanol
• 70% IPA
Using the Decontamination Kit
The Decontamination Kit provides the option to further clean the blower unit
with running water, immersed up to 12-in (30.5 cm).
1. Place the white pad inside of
the EVA or EVAHL blower unit
as shown.
2. Place the Intake Cover Plug
– seating it on the bottom
flange and aligned to the left
of the notch on the blower
(verify that the intake plug
gasket is free of debris).
3. Secure the plug (EVAICP67)
by rotating plug q/8th of a
turn clockwise until the lock
tab is secured over notch on
the blower to the LOCKED
POSITION as shown.
4. Place the Port Plug (PA3PG)
into the breathing tube
outlet opening and secure by
rotating the plug clockwise
(verify that the Port Plug
Gasket is installed).
5. Clean the EVA/EVAHL as
directed.
6. After cleaning remove the Port
Plug and Intake Cover Plug.
Wipe away any intermittent
water that may have dripped
inside the blower unit housing
upon removing the filter inlet
plug.
NOTE:
The white pad can be used,
if required.
NOTE:
The plug gaskets should be inspected for damage and wear prior to
each use. The decontamination kit should be replaced every 100 uses to
minimize the use of worn components. Worn or damaged gaskets must
be replaced. Exposing the EVA or EVAHL blower unit to water while
using damaged gaskets may cause damage to the blower unit and void
the warranty. Blower units that have been dropped or damaged should
not be immersed due to potential water ingress.
