1. INTRODUCCIÓN
Gracias por la elección de nuestro producto. Lea atentamente el manual de
funcionamiento antes de utilizar el instrumento. El sonómetro C-LOGIC 290 es
un instrumento que se utiliza para medir el nivel de sonido ambiental, por
ejemplo el nivel acústico en fábricas, talleres, centros de enseñanza, zonas
residencia-les, oficinas, etc. También puede emplearse en ingeniería acústica,
control de calidad de productos, prevención sanitaria y tratamientos, etc.
2. INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
Utilice el sonómetro conforme a cada una de sus especificaciones. Entorno
operativo:
• Altura <2000 m
• Humedad relativa (HR) ≤80% HR
• Temperatura de funcionamiento 0 - 40°C
Almacenamiento y mantenimiento:
No utilice alcohol ni otro tipo de disolventes para limpiar el instrumento. Si no
se va a utilizar durante un largo periodo de tiempo, extraiga las pilas y guarde
el instrumento en un lugar limpio y seco.
Símbolos de seguridad:
: El instrumento cuenta con protección doble.
: Conformidad con las normas de seguridad de la CE.

4. DESCRIPCIÓN DE LAS CARACTERÍSTICAS DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
• Este sonómetro cumple con las normativas IEC651 Tipo 2 y ANSI S1.4 Tipo
2.
•Escala de medición comprendida entre 30 y 130 dB, con función de cambio
automático
• Selección entre ponderación A o C
• Selección de velocidad de respuesta rápida (FAST) / lenta (SLOW)
• Función de congelación del valor máximo (MAX)
• Pantalla digital, buen comportamiento anti-interferencias, ahorro de energía
• Su función de retroiluminación permite la recogida de datos de sonido du-
rante la noche. Para ahorrar energía, cuenta con una función de apagado
automático de la retroiluminación.
•En la carcasa se emplea un proceso de moldeado por inyección de material
compuesto con un diseño estructural a prueba de caídas. No sólo es extre-
madamente resistente, sino también elegante.
• Gracias su diseño que favorece el ahorro energético, el circuito de alimen-
tación de alta eficacia prolonga la duración de las pilas

5. ESPECIFICACIONES
• Precisión de la presión acústica: ± 1,5 dB (presión acústica estándar, 94 dB
a 1 KHz).
• Respuesta de frecuencia de la presión acústica: 30Hz - 8KHz.
• Rango dinámico de la presión acústica: 50 dB (para cada nivel de medición).
• Escala de medición de la presión acústica: 30-130 dB A, 35-130 dB C.
• Características de la ponderación de la frecuencia de la presión acústica:
características A y C.
• Característica dinámica de la presión acústica: FAST (rápida) 125 ms,
SLOW (lenta) 1 seg.
• Micrófono: micrófono capacitivo polarizado.
• Pantalla digital: 4 dígitos, resolución: 0,1 dB, frecuencia de muestreo: 2 ve-

• Presentación en forma de barra analógica: cada barra analógica representa

• Cambio automático de nivel: el microprocesador seleccionará automática-
mente el nivel más adecuado dentro de la escala comprendida entre 30 y
130 dB.
• Aviso de resultado por encima o por debajo del límite: se muestra el mensa-
je “UNDER” u “OVER” en la pantalla.
• Alimentación: 4 pilas AAA de 1,5V cada una.
• Temperatura de funcionamiento: 0 ~+ 40 °C.
• Humedad de funcionamiento: 10 ~80% HR.
• Temperatura de almacenamiento: - 10 ~+ 60 °C.
• Humedad de almacenamiento: 10 ~70%HR.

6. PREPARATIVOS ANTES DEL USO
1. Utilice un destornillador de estrella para abrir la tapa del compartimento de
las pilas situado en la parte trasera del instrumento, y coloque 4 pilas alcalinas

AAA de 1,5V en el portapilas.
2. Vuelva a colocar la tapa del compartimento de las pilas y utilice un destorni-
llador de estrella para apretar el tornillo.
3. Cuando las pilas se estén agotando, aparecerá en la pantalla el símbolo “
” para indicar que las pilas no tienen suficiente potencia y que deberán ser
sustituidas por otras nuevas.
7. MÉTODOS BÁSICOS DE UTILIZACIÓN
1) Pulse el interruptor de encendido. El nivel de medición predeterminado del
microprocesador de la pantalla LCD es de 40~90 dB, y el nivel acústico me-
dido en la localización se mostrará dentro de esta escala. Si en la pantalla
LCD aparece el mensaje “UNDER” u “OVER”, significa que el sonido en la
localización está por encima o por debajo del límite de la escala de 40 ~ 90 dB.
En este momento el valor medido no tendrá precisión, y será necesario pulsar
las teclas arriba y abajo para seleccionar el nivel de medición que le permita
obtener un valor preciso.
2) Selección del nivel de medición:
Pulse las teclas ▲ o ▼ para seleccionar el nivel adecuado para la medición
del nivel acústico existente. Cuando aparece el mensaje “UNDER”, signific
que el nivel del instrumento es demasiado alto. Deberá pulsa la tecla de nivel
▼ para seleccionar un nivel más bajo hasta que desaparezca el mensaje “UN-
DER”. Cuando aparece el mensaje “OVER”, significa que el nivel del instru-
mento es demasiado bajo. Deberá pulsar la tecla de nivel ▲ para seleccionar
un nivel más bajo hasta que el mensaje “OVER” desaparezca.
3) Selección del modo de ponderación:
Para medir el nivel acústico dentro del rango auditivo del ser humano, se-
leccione el modo de ponderación A (que simula las características auditivas
del oído humano). Pulse la tecla A/C para seleccionar A, y vuelva a pulsarla
para seleccionar C. Para medir el nivel acústico real, seleccione el modo de
ponderación C.
4) Para leer el nivel acústico en tiempo real, seleccione la opción FAST (rápi-
da). Para obtener el nivel acústico medio, seleccione la opción SLOW (lenta).
Pulse la tecla FAST/SLOW para seleccionar la opción FAST o SLOW.
5) Para obtener el nivel acústico máximo, pulse la tecla de función “MAX” para
observar el valor máximo de la lectura del nivel acústico. Vuelva a pulsar la

tecla MAX para regresar a modo de medición normal.
6) Para activar la retroiluminación de la pantalla LCD al realizar mediciones
nocturnas, pulse la tecla .
8. CALIBRACIÓN DEL SONÓMETRO
Si el sonómetro se utiliza durante demasiado tiempo, la precisión de las me-
diciones se verá reducida, por lo que será necesario calibrar el sonómetro.
Normalmente se deberá calibrar una vez al año. Para realizar la calibración
se requiere una fuente de sonido estándar. Póngase en contacto con nuestra

9. NOTAS
1. No utilice el instrumento en ambientes con calor y humedad.
2. Si el instrumento no se va a utilizar durante un largo periodo de tiempo,
extraiga las pilas para evitar fugas del electrolito que puedan dañar el instru-
mento.
3. El nivel automático (30-130 dB) no es adecuado para la medición de ruidos
de impacto transitorios.
4. Al realizar mediciones del nivel acústico en exteriores, se deberá colocar un
supresor de viento en el cabezal del micrófono para evitar que la corriente de
aire sople directamente en el micrófono y genere ruido.
5. Si aparece el símbolo “ ” en la pantalla, significa que la tensión de las
pilas es demasiado baja, por lo que deberá sustituirlas inmediatamente. Se
recomienda utilizar pilas alcalinas.

1. PREFACE
Thank you for using our product. Please read the operating manual carefully
before using the product. The C-LOGIC 290 Sound Level Meter is an
instrument used to measure the ambient sound level, such as sound level
around facto-ries, workshops, schools, residential, offices, road, audio etc. It
can also be appropriate for noise engineering, product quality control,
health prevention and treatment, etc..
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please use according to each specification of sound level meter.
• Operating environment:
- Elevation: 2000 m
- Relative humidity (RH): 80%RH
- Operating temperature: 0 - 40°C
• Storage and maintenance:
- Do not use alcohol or other solvents to clean the meter. If it is not to be used
for long time, remove batteries and keep the meter in a dry and clean environ-
ment.

4. FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS DESCRIPTION
• This sound level meter complies with IEC651 Type 2 and ANSI S1.4 Type 2.
• With the measuring scope from 30 to 130 dB and automatic shifting function
• A and C weighting network selection
• High speed (FAST)/Low speed (SLOW) response rate selection
• Maximum (MAX) locking function
• Digital display, good anti-interference performance, power saving

6. PREPARATIONS BEFORE USE
1) Use cross screwdriver to open the battery cover on the back of the meter,
and install 4 7th alkaline batteries of 1.5V each to the battery holder.
2) Return the battery cover and use cross screwdriver to tighten screw.
3) When the battery is aging, “ ” symbol will appear on the LCD display, in-
dicating that batteries don’t have enough power to use, and should be replaced
with new ones.
7. BASIC USAGE METHODS
1) Press the power switch, the default measurement gear level of LCD display
microprocessor is 40~90 dB. And the measured onsite sound level will display
within this range. If one of the “UNDER” or “OVER” characters displays on the
LCD, it means that onsite sound is either lower or higher than the limit range
of 40 ~ 90 dB. At this time, the measurement value is not accurate, you should

click Up and Down key to set the measurement gear level of the instrument to
get accurate measurement value.
2) Setting measurement gear level:
Press the Level▲ or ▼ keys to select appropriate gear level to measure the
current sound level, when the “UNDER” character appears, it means that the
gear level of the instrument is too high. You should press Level▼ to set a lower
gear level until the “UNDER” character disappears. When the “OVER” charac-
ter appears, it means that the gear level of the instrument is too low. You should
press Level▲ to set a lower gear level until the “OVER” character disappears.
3) Selecting the weighting mode:
To measure the sound level within the human audible range, select A weighting
mode (simulate the hearing characteristics of human ears) mode, press the
A/C key, click to select A, click again C. To measure the actual sound level,
select C weighting mode.
4) To read real-time sound level, select FAST (high speed). To obtain the aver-
age sound level, select SLOW (low speed). Press FAST/SLOW key to select
FAST or SLOW.
5) To obtain the maximum sound level, press “MAX” function key and you can
read the maximum sound level reading value, press MAX key again to return
to the normal measurement mode.
6) To light up the backlight of LCD when measuring at night,
press key.
8. CALIBRATE SOUND LEVEL METER
If the sound level meter is used for too many days, the measurement accuracy
will reduce. At this time, the sound level meter should be calibrated. Usually it
should be calibrated once a year. Standard sound source is required for cali-
bration. Please contact our company for specific method
9. NOTES
1) Do not use the meter in hot, humid environment.
2) If the meter is not to be used for a long time, remove the batteries to avoid
electrolyte leakage damaging the instrument.
3) Auto gear level (30-130 dB) is not suitable for measuring transient impact
noise.
4) When you measure sound level outside, anti-wind ball should be installed

on the microphone head to avoid blowing directly into the microphone and
generating airflow noise
5. If “ ” symbol displays on the LCD, it means that the battery voltage is too
low. You should immediately replace batteries. It is recommended that you use
alkaline batteries.
