Quick Setup Guide
This Quick Setup Guide provides step-by-step instrucons on how
to set up your RUCKUS Unleashed R750 access point. Aer
compleng the steps in this guide, you will be able to place the
access point (AP) at your site and provide wireless network access
to users.
For detailed informaon on conguraon and administraon of
your RUCKUS Unleashed R750 AP, refer to the Unleashed Online

A complete Unleashed R750 installaon package includes all of
the items listed below:
•Unleashed R750 Access Point
•One wall-mount anchor kit, including two 1" No. 8 steel pan
head Phillips sheet metal screws and wall-mount anchors.
•One external T-bar bracket (two unassembled parts)
•Service Level Agreement/Limited Warranty Statement
•Declaraon of Conformity
•Regulatory Statement
Unleashed Network Conguraon
Setup Using the Unleashed Mobile App
To perform setup using the Unleashed Mobile App, download the
iOS or Android app from the app store.
1. As soon as the Unleashed AP is powered on and connected to
the local network, it boots up and begins broadcasng a
temporary unencrypted WLAN named “Congure.Me-
[xxxxxx]” from both radios.
2. Using your client’s Wi-Fi connecon sengs, select and
associate to the “Congure.Me-[xxxxxx]” WLAN.
3. Launch the app, and follow the on-screen instrucons to
congure your Unleashed network(s).

Setup Using a Web Browser
1. As soon as the Unleashed AP is powered on and connected to
the local network, it boots up and begins broadcasng a
temporary unencrypted WLAN named “Congure.Me-
[xxxxxx]” from both radios.
2. Using your client’s Wi-Fi connecon sengs, select and
associate to the “Congure.Me-[xxxxxx]” WLAN.
3. Launch a web browser and enter the following into the
browser’s URL bar: unleashed.ruckuswireless.com, and press
Enter.
4. You will be redirected to the Setup Wizard. Complete the
steps in the Setup Wizard and click Finish.

NOTE: Dedicated Master mode is supported only if an
R750 AP is the Master AP in the Unleashed network. You
can enable Dedicated Master from the System page of the
Setup Wizard.

5. Once the Setup Wizard is nished, the “Conguring system
sengs and reboong” progress screen appears. Wait unl
the process is complete.
6. Connect to the WLAN that you congured in the Setup
Wizard, and click OK to reconnect. You will be redirected to
the Unleashed login screen.
7. Enter your admin name and password to login.

8. Upon successful login, you will be presented with the
Unleashed dashboard that displays an overview of your
RUCKUS Unleashed network.
Mounng Instrucons
Mounng on a Drop-Ceiling T-Bar
The factory-supplied T-bar mounng assembly kit allows you to
aach the AP to recessed and ush drop-ceiling T-bars.
1. Posion the studs on the boom of the T-bar bracket (A in
the following Figure) in the keyholes on the AP enclosure.
2. Slide the T-bar bracket away from the Ethernet ports on the
boom of the AP unl the AP retainer tab (B) snaps into
place, trapping the T-bar bracket studs in the keyholes (C).

3. Insert the locking tab (D) so it is in the rst posion on the T-
bar bracket (A).
4. Gently push the ceiling les, if present, up and out of the
way.
5. Posion the T-bar bracket so its two clasps grip one edge of
the T-bar (A in the Figure below). Make sure that both clasps
are gripping the T-bar.
6. Hold the AP in place and gently push the locking tab (B) unl
its clasp grips the other edge of the T-bar. Make sure that all
three clasps are gripping the T-bar.

7. (Oponal) Aach a customer-supplied padlock through the
bracket AP retainer tab (B) to lock the AP to the T-bar bracket
studs.
Mounng on a Flat Surface
The factory-supplied mounng screws and plasc wall anchors
allow you to aach the AP to a wall or other at surface.
1. Use the Mounng Template on the last page of this Quick
Setup Guide to mark the locaons for two drill holes on the
mounng surface.
2. Use a 4.75mm (3/16”) drill bit to drill holes approximately
25mm (1”) deep into the mounng surface.
3. Insert the factory-supplied anchors (A in the Figure below)
and mounng screws (B) into the mounng surface, leaving
approximately 6 mm (1/4”) of the screw heads protruding for
the AP enclosure.

4. Place the AP onto the mounng screws so the screw heads
enter the keyholes on the AP enclosure, and push the AP
down unl the AP retainer tab snaps into place.
5. (Oponal) Aach a customer-supplied padlock through the
integral AP retainer tab to lock the AP to the mounng screw
heads.
