CAM-AU5-AD
Reverse Camera Add On Interface for Audi Vehicles with Audi Navi Plus RNS-E
(16:9). Add on camera interfaces allowing the addition of a reverse camera to
the vehicles OEM display. Designed for vehicles without factory TV tuner, head
unit must be coded for rear camera input and have a minium SW version of
550. Compatible with NTSC cameras only.
Only compatible with NTSC cameras.
Prior to Installation
Read the manual prior to installation. Technical knowledge is necessary for installa-
tion. The place of installation must be free of moisture and away from heat sources.
Please ensure you use the correct tools to avoid damage to the vehicle or product.

NB: Before installation, switch off ignition, disconnect the vehicle battery and
remove the vehicle’s head unit.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect the supplied harness to the 12pin Molex on the interface box
2. Plug the female 32pin AMP connector of the harness into the male 32pin
AMP connector on the head-unit.
3. Connect the red ying wire to +12V reverse gear light and black ying
wire to ground.
Note: If the 32pin AMP-socket of the head-unit is already occupied, the
vehicle may have a factory TV-tuner which must be uninstalled. Disconnect
the female 32pin AMP-connector of the factory harness and disconnect all
wires from the factory TV-tuner.

INSTALLATION

Connections to Aftermarket Rear-View Camera
Connect the video RCA of the aftermarket rear-view camera to the
female RCA connector of the supplied harness.
Connect Pin 2, Chamber C
to reverse gear light (+12V)
(White cable included).
Note: Only compatible with
NTSC cameras.
The head-unit must be coded
to rear-view camera per diagnosis
computer (Only possible on RNS-E
with minimum software 550 and
<2010).
If coding is done by diagnosis PC, code “match” rear-view camera to
value 1 in channel 04, controller 56. After coding, the vehicle needs to
be locked to reach sleep mode.
