SPEAKER BOX CONNECTION
Connect speaker wires of SPEAKER BOXES to SPEAKER TERMINAL on the
rear of unit properly.
Note: Ensure polarities of speaker wire, RED (+) and BLACK (-) connected
to the SPEAKER TERMINAL properly.
AC OPERATION
Before operating, please check carefully that voltage indicated on your set
corresponds to voltage of your local area.
1. Plug the AC POWER CORD into a standard AC outlet. The STANDBY LED
INDICATOR will light up.
2. Press POWER BUTTON to start the unit.
The LCD DISPLAY will light up while STANDBY LED INDICATOR will go
“off”.
Remarks:
a. In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge (ESD), reset the unit
by reconnecting the AC CORD again to resume to normal operation.
b. When not in use – Unplug the AC power cord completely from the AC
power cord. Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the
disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain operable.
Warning:
The power cable/disconnect device shall remain easy to operate/disconnect.
RADIO OPERATION
1. Slide FUNCTION SWITCH to “RADIO” position.
2. Slide BAND SWITCH to your desired waveband (FM or FM ST.).
3. Turn TUNING KNOB to your desired radio station; radio frequency will
appear on the LCD DISPLAY.
4. Adjust sound level by pressing VOLUME CONTROL knob (Up or Down).
5. To turn off radio, press POWER BUTTON once. The backlight of LCD
DISPLAY will go “off” while STANDBY LED INDICATOR will light up.
FM STEREO INDICATOR
Slide BAND SWITCH to FM ST. position;
FM stereo indicator “ ” will light up
when listening to a strong station that is
broadcasting in “stereo”.
When FM stereo reception is weak, slide BAND SWITCH to FM position. In
this case FM reception will be monaural.

ANTENNAS
For best reception, fully extend FM ANTENNA to receive FM station.
BASS BOOST
At all volume levels, press BASS BOOST BUTTON to “ON” position to enhance
the low frequency sound.
To release super bass press this button once again.
STEREO HEADPHONE JACK (Headphone is not included)
For private listening, insert the plug of a Stereo Headphone into STEREO
HEADPHONE JACK and adjust VOLUME CONTROL KNOB accordingly. Be sure
that your headphone has 3.5mm diameter stereo plug with an impedance of
32 ohms. During the use of a headphone, speakers are disconnected
automatically.
CD OPERATION (CD-R-RW PLAYBACK COMPATIBLE)

Getting Started
NOTE: Should skipping of track occur during CD playing, try turning the
volume down.
When CD is playing, do not open the CD Door.
1. Open the CD DOOR by pressing the right-bottom corner of the CD DOOR.
Put a CD into the CD COMPARTMENT and close the CD DOOR. Set the
FUNCTION SWITCH to “CD” position.
2. When the CD DOOR is closed with a CD inside, the total number of tracks
on the disc will be shown on the LCD DISPLAY and the unit will go to stop
mode.
3. If the CD DOOR is not closed or there is no disc inside, the LCD DISPLAY
will show “00” and go to stop mode.
Play/Pause Mode
1. When the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON is
pressed during CD stop mode, the first
track will be played. The “PLAY”
Indicator will be lighted; LCD DISPLAY
will show the specific track being played.

2. To pause CD playing, press the CD
PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON once. The
“PLAY” Indicator will flash
continuously.
3. Although the sound stops, the disc will continue to spin. To re-start
playback, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON once again. The music will
start from the exact position where it was interrupted.
4. To stop the CD, press the CD STOP BUTTON once whether the CD is in
Play or Pause mode.
5. To turn off the unit, press POWER BUTTON once. The backlight of the
LCD DISPLAY light will go “off” while the STANDBY LED INDICATOR will
light-up.
Repeat Mode
1. Repeat 1:
When the REPEAT BUTTON is pressed
once, the “REPEAT” Indicator will light
and flash continuously. This single CD
track will be repeated.
2. Repeat all:
When the REPEAT BUTTON is pressed
twice, the “REPEAT” Indicator will stay
lit. The whole disc will be played
continuously.
3. Cancelling Repeat Function
Press the REPEAT BUTTON until the lighted REPEAT Indicator is turned
off.
Skip and Search Mode
1. During play or pause mode, when the CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD or
BACKWARD BUTTON is pressed once, it will go to the next track or
back to the beginning of the track.
2. During play or pause mode, when the CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD or
BACKWARD BUTTON is pressed and held, it will search the track with
audible high speed forward or backward playback.
Program Mode
1. During the CD stop mode, press the
PROGRAM BUTTON once, the
PROGRAM Indicator will light up and
blink continuously together with the

number of Program to be memorized
starts from the first program “01”.
Press the CD SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD
or BACKWARD 
BUTTON to select your desired musical track, LCD DISPLAY will show the
appropriate track number. Press the PROGRAM BUTTON again to store
this desired track in memory. (Ex. Track no. 7)
2. Repeat above procedure until all desired tracks have been programmed.
A total of 30 tracks can be stored into memory. After complete
programming, LCD DISPLAY will show “01” again and flash continuously.
3. To start the Programmed playback, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON
once.
Note: While PROGRAM INDICATOR is flashing, never press the CD STOP
BUTTON otherwise all programmed memory will be cancelled
automatically.
4. To cancel the Programmed memory, simply open the CD DOOR or press
the CD STOP BUTTON during CD stop mode. The PROGRAM INDICATOR
will disappear from the LCD DISPLAY.
REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
INSTALLING BATTERIES
Slide open the BATTERY DOOR, install two “AAA” size or UM-4 batteries
according to the polarity diagram inside the battery compartment of the
Remote Controller.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When batteries become weak, the operating distance of the Remote
Controller is greatly reduced and you will need to replace batteries.
USING THE REMOTE CONTROLLER CORRECTLY
•Point the Remote Controller at the REMOTE SENSOR located on the main
unit.
•The function of the button is the same as the corresponding control on the
main unit.
•When there is a strong ambient light source, the performance of the
infrared REMOTE SENSOR may be degraded causing unreliable operation.
•The recommended effective distance for remote operation is about 5
meters.

23.BATTERY DOOR
Slide open the BATTERY DOOR, then insert two “AAA” size or UM-4
batteries according to the polarity diagram inside the battery
compartment.
24. POWER BUTTON
a)While the main unit is in operation, press the
POWER BUTTON once, the unit will go to Standby
Mode and STANDBY LED INDICATOR on the main
unit will light-up.
b) Press the POWER BUTTON again and it will
resume to normal play function.
25. PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON
Press to start play or pause temporarily in CD
Mode.
26. STOP BUTTON
Press to stop CD play.
27+28. SKIP/SEARCH “/ ”
Skip or Search backward / forward for the desired
track or passage in CD mode.
29. MUTE BUTTON
Press to silence the sound output.
30. REPEAT BUTTON
Press to play one or all tracks repeatedly.
31. VOLUME (Up or Down )
Press to adjust the volume
32. INFRARED TRANSMITTER.
NOTE :
If the Remote Controller is not to be used for a long time, remove the
batteries to prevent possible damage through battery.
Do not mix different types of battery or old batteries with new ones.
WARNING:
TO PREVENT FIRE OR SHOCK HAZARD, DO NOT EXPOSE THE APPLIANCE TO
RAIN OR MOISTURE. NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER
SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.

end of its lifecycle; hand it over to a collection centre for
recycling the electrical and electronic appliances.
