Before you start
To get the best out of the system, it is crucial to take some precautions
before making use of the alarm system. The EM8710 alarm system
will sent you a text message or gives you a call when there is an alarm.
In order to do so, the system needs a SIM-card from a mobile phone
provider. Please check below points before buying a SIM-card:
1) Choose a mobile provider which has the best network coverage
at the place where you would like to mount the alarm system.
2) When using a prepaid card, make sure that info messages
from the provider will be sent by e-mail instead of text message.
You cannot read text messages on the alarm system. Please
choose a provider with a web portal to upgrade your credit.
3) The voicemail function should be switched off. Insert the SIM
card into a cell phone and refer to the information of your
provider to turn the voicemail off.
4) Remove the PIN code of the SIM card. Follow the steps below to
turn off the PIN code of the SIM card.
a) Apple (iOS) Go to Settings => Phone => SIM PIN.

b) Android, go to Applications => Settings => more => Security
=> Set up SIM card lock. Switch off SIM card lock here.

Alarm plan
Voordat u begint met het installeren van het alarmsysteem is het
belangrijk eerst een goed plan te maken. Bepaal welke plekken u
wilt bewaken en met welke sensoren. Tevens is het belangrijk om te
bepalen welke sensor met welke instellingen wordt ingesteld. Iedere
sensor kan in een groep worden geplaats; thuis-groep, normale
groep, enkele groep of 24-uurs groep.
Onderstaand een voorbeeldsituatie met een duidelijk plan dat
aangeeft welke sensoren waar geplaatst dienen te worden.
Alarm plan
Before starting to install the alarm system it is important to make a
plan. Determine the locations you want to secure and what type of
sensor is needed. Also you need to determine what group type or
configuration the sensor needs to be installed in. Every type of sensor
needs to be placed in a group; Home-group, normal group, single
group or 24-hours group. Illustration below is an example of a plan
that determines what sensor should be placed for the preferred
security.

Avant d’utiliser le système
Pour tirer le meilleur de votre système, il est crucial de prendre des
précautions avant d’utiliser le système d’alarme. Le système d’alarme
EM8710 vous enverra un message textuel ou vous passera un appel
lorsqu’une alarme est déclenchée. Pour ce faire, le système doit
disposer d’un carte SIM d’un opérateur de téléphonie mobile.
Veuillez vérifier les points suivants avant d’acheter une carte SIM:
1) Choisissez l’opérateur proposant la meilleure couverture pour
l’endroit auquel vous souhaitez monter le système d’alarme.
2) Lorsque vous utilisez une carte prépayée, vérifiez que les
messages d’information de l’opérateur seront envoyés par
e-mail plutôt que par message textuel. Vous ne pouvez pas lire
les messages textuels sur le système d’alarme. Veuillez choisir
un fournisseur avec un portail Web pour mettre vos crédits à
niveau.
3) La fonction de messagerie vocale doit être désactivée. Insérez
la carte SIM dans un téléphone portable et reportez-vous aux
informations de votre fournisseur pour désactiver la messagerie
vocale.
4) Supprimez le code PIN de la carte SIM. Suivez les étapes ci-
dessous pour désactiver le code PIN de la carte SIM.
a) Apple (iOS) Allez dans Réglages => Téléphone => Code PIN
SIM. Désactivez le code PIN SIM ici
b) Android, allez dans Applications => Réglages => Plus =>
Sécurité => Régler le verrouillage de la carte SIM.

Voordat u begint
Om maximaal gebruik te maken van het alarmsysteem is het van
belang een aantal zaken vóóraf goed in te regelen alvorens het
systeem in gebruik te nemen. Het EM8710 alarmsysteem geeft
meldingen per SMS, of telefonisch. Om dit te doen maakt het
systeem gebruik van een SIM-kaart van een telefoon provider. Lees
onderstaande punten zorgvuldig door voor de aanschaf van een
SIM-kaart:
1) Zorg voor een GSM-simkaart van een provider welke dekking
heeft op de plek waar de alarmcentrale wordt gemonteerd.
Raadpleeg de dekkingskaart op de websites van de providers.
2) Indien gebruik wordt gemaakt van een prepaid kaart, zorg dan
dat meldingen van de provider per e-mail worden verstuurd in
plaats van SMS. SMS berichten zijn namelijk niet te lezen als
de SIM-kaart in de alarmcentrale zit. Zorg ook voor een provider
waarbij het beltegoed op te waarderen is via de website van de
provider.
3) De voicemail functie dient uitgeschakeld te zijn. Stop de SIM-
kaart in een GSM-telefoon en raadpleeg de gegevens van de
provider om de voicemail uit te schakelen.
4) Verwijder de PIN-code van de SIM-kaart. Volg onderstaande
stappen om de PIN-code van de SIM-kaart uit te schakelen.
a) Apple (iOS); Ga naar instellingen => telefoon => simpincode.
Schakel hier Simpincode uit
b) Android; Ga naar Apps => instellingen => meer =>
beveiliging => SIM-kaartvergrendeling instellen.
Schakel hier SIM-kaart vergrendelen uit.
Plan de placement du capteur
Avant d’installer le système d’alarme, il est important de faire un
plan. Déterminez les emplacements que vous souhaitez sécuriser et
quel type de capteur est nécessaire. Vous devez aussi déterminer
le type de groupe ou la configuration où doit être installé le capteur.
Chaque type de capteur doit être placé dans un groupe: groupe
domicile, groupe normal, groupe simple ou groupe 24 h.
L’illustration ci-dessous est un exemple de plan déterminant le
capteur à placer pour la sécurité choisie.

You can setup and control the EM8710 Alarm system by the APP for
android and Apple (iOS). Download the “EM8710” APP from the
Google Play Store or the Apple Store, and install it to your
smartphone.

Start the APP on your phone and select ‘Add Account’. Enter a name
for the alarm system (example: Eminent EM8710) and enter the
mobile number of the SIM card installed in the alarm system. Start
with the country code (example UK 0044). Without the country code
the alarm system cannot be controlled or configured from outside
your country.

Start de APP op uw telefoon en selecteer ‘Account Toevoegen’.
Geef een naam in voor het Alarmsysteem (bv. Eminent EM8710)
en voer het GSM-nummer in van de simkaart welke in het

Démarrez l’APP sur votre téléphone et choisissez « Ajouter un
compte » Entrez un nom pour le système d’alarme (exemple
: Eminent EM8710) puis entrez le numéro mobile de la carte
SIM installée dans le système d’alarme. (Démarrez par le code du
pays (par exemple France 0033). Sans le code du pays, le système
d’alarme ne pourra pas être contrôlé ou configuré depuis l’étranger.
Après avoir ajouté un compte, le compte apparaîtra sur l’écran
d’accueil de l’APP. Sélectionnez le compte pour continuer.
Setting up the GSM Host number
1) Enter the PIN (default 1234) of the control panel.
2) Followed by “66” and confirm with the key.
3) Now enter the Host phone number that will have full control
of the alarm system.
4) And confirm with the key.
5) The LED will flash to confirm the host number is set.
Example 1234 + 66 + 0612345678
With this configuration the Host phone number is also configured
as The first Phone number to be configured for receiving alarm
notifications via SMS text message and dialing, further the number is
configured as first Speed dial number (Long Press “1” to use Speed
dial 1).
Adding numbers for alarm notifications or
speed dial
1) Press “Settings”
2) Press “Alerts”
3) Select the type of number you wish to configure SMS/TEL/
Speed dial
4) Enter the phone numbers accordingly
5) Press “Send”
Adding a contact to the SMS list will grant the user limited access to
the Alarm system. The configured number will be able to put the alarm
system in Arm/Home/Disarm mode the number will not have access
to the other settings.

Een telefoonnummer toevoegen aan de lijst geeft dit telefoonnummer
gelimiteerde toegang tot het alarm systeem. Het geconfigureerde
telefoonnummer heeft de mogelijkheid om het alarm in de volgende
modus te zetten: Ingeschakeld/Thuis/Uitgeschakeld het nummer heeft
geen toegang tot de instellingen.

Ajouter un contact à la liste des SMS accorde à l’utilisateur un accès
limité au système d’alarme. Le numéro configuré peut mettre le
système d’alarme en mode Armement/Domestique/Désarmement.
Le numéro n’a pas accès aux autres paramètres.
Configuration du numéro hôte GSM
1) Saisissez le code PIN (par défaut 1234) du panneau de
commande.
2) Suivi par “66” et confirmez avec la touche .
3) À présent, saisissez le numéro de téléphone hôte qui aura le
contrôle total du système d’alarme.
4) Et confirmez avec la touche .
5) La LED clignote pour confirmer que le numéro hôte est
défini.
Exemple 1234 + 66 + 0612345678 Avec cette configuration,
le numéro de téléphone hôte est également configurée en tant
que premier numéro de téléphone à configurer pour recevoir des
notifications d’alarme via message texte SMS et numérotation,
de plus le numéro est configuré en tant que premier numéro à
composition abrégée (Appuyez longuement sur « 1 » pour utiliser la
composition abrégée 1)

notificatie krijgt bij een alarm melding via SMS en ook telefonisch. Ook
is dit nummer ingesteld als eerste snelkies nummer (druk en houd
ingedrukt toets “1” om dit snel kiesnummer te bellen).
Change (default) password
It is advised to change the default password to prevent unauthorized
access to your alarm panel.
1) To change the password first enter the current password
(default 1234)
2) Followed by 06 + key
3) Now enter the new PIN + key
4) The new PIN is now configured.
De standaard Pincode wijzigen
Wij adviseren om de standaard pincode te wijzigen om zo toegang tot het
systeem te beperken.
1) Om de Pincode te wijzigen geef eerst de huidige Pincode in
(standaard 1234).
2) Gevolgd door 06 + toets
3) Geef nu de nieuwe Pincode in + toets
4) De nieuwe Pincode is nu geconfigureerd.
Changer le mot de passe (par défaut)
Il est conseillé de changer le mot de passe par défaut pour empêcher
tout accès non autorisé à votre panneau d’alarme.
1) Pour changer le mot de passe, saisissez d’abord le mot de passe
actuel (par défaut 1234)
2) Suivi par 06 + touche

Bediening van het alarmsysteem
1) Inschakelen van het systeem (alle sensoren)
Druk op het alarm systeem. Het is niet noodzakelijk om de admin code
in te voeren.
2) Gedeeltelijk inschakelen van het systeem (bepaalde sensoren)
Druk op . Alle daarvoor ingestelde sensoren (zogenaamde Normale-
groep) worden ingeschakeld; de rest (zogenaamde Thuis-groep) blijft
inactief.
3) Uitschakelen via het bedieningspaneel
Voer uw 4-cijferig wachtwoord in (standaard: 1234) en druk op .
U hoort een piep en het systeem is uitgeschakeld. Als u 3 piepjes hoort,
is het wachtwoord verkeerd ingevoerd.
4) Uitschakelen via de RFID tag
Houd de RFID tag dicht bij de RFID lezer (symbool boven de cirkel).
U hoort een piep en het systeem is uitgeschakeld. Let op: dit werkt alleen
als er netspanning op het systeem zit.
Using the EM8710 Alarmsystem
1) Arm the system (all sensors)
Press on the alarm system. It is not necessary to enter the admin
code when arming the alarm system.
2) Partially arm the system (In-home security)
Press . All sensors in the “Normal-group” are enabled, sensors in
the “Home-group” are disabled.
3) Disarm the system using the control panel
Enter your 4 digit password (default: 1234) and press . You will
hear a beep to notify you the system is disarmed. When you hear 3
beeps the password is not correctly entered.
4) Disarm using RFID-tag
Hold the RFID-tag close to the RFID-reader (symbol above the circle).
You will hear a beep to notify you the system is disarmed. Notice:
This feature will only work when the device is powered by the power
adapter and is disabled when working on backup batteries.
Utilisation du système d’alarme
1) Armer le système (tous les capteurs)
Appuyez sur . Il n’est pas nécessaire de saisir le code admin lors de
l’équipement du système d’alarme.
2) Armer partiellement le système (sécurité à la maison)
Appuyez sur . Tous les capteurs du « Groupe normal » sont activés,
les capteurs du « Groupe domicile » sont désactivés.
3) Désarmer le système à l’aide du panneau de contrôle
Entrez votre mot de passe à 4 chiffres (par défaut : 1234) puis
appuyez sur . Vous entendrez un bip pour signifier que le système
est désarmé. Vous entendez 3 bips si le mot de passe est incorrect.
4) Désarmer le système à l’aide de la balise RFID
Maintenez la balise RFID à proximité du lecteur RFID (symbole au-
dessus du cercle). Vous entendrez un bip pour signifier que le système
est désarmé. Information préalable : Cette fonction ne marchera
que lorsque l’appareil est alimenté par l’adaptateur secteur et sera
désactivée lorsqu’il est alimenté par les batteries de secours.
