3.1.1 Safety precautions during machine
maintenance
Lubrication, maintenance and adjustment process shall be per-
formed:
•by professionally qualied and trained personnel,
•according to intervals given in the Operating Manual,
•in compliance with safety warnings given in the Operating
Manual,
•on the machine standing on aat and solid surface and se-
cured against movement with wedge blocks, always with
the engine o, the key removed from the ignition box and
the battery disconnecter disconnected,
•with the“Machine repair”tag attached to the steering wheel
(the tag is supplied with the machine accessories),

•on cold machine parts,
•there is adanger of burning after operating uids warm up
during certain tasks of inspection or maintenance of the ma-
chine,
•after the machine, lubrication points and maintenance plac-
es have been cleaned,
•using suitable, undamaged tools,
•by replacing parts with new original parts according to the
spare parts catalogue,
•with sucient lighting of the entire machine during re-
duced visibility and at night,
•reinstall all removed covers and safety elements after the
work is completed,
•re-tighten bolted connections according to the specied
tightening torques.
When using asteam cleaning machine, use protective clothes
and safety glasses or aface shield and aprotective helmet.
Hot steam can cause serious injuries.
Spilt fuel on ahot surface or electric parts can cause re. Fire can
consequently cause serious injuries.
Never place your head, body and arms under the parts of the
machine which are not rmly xed to the machine or secured
against spontaneous fall.
If you need to perform repair or maintenance in areas which are
not accessible from the ground, use ladder or aplatform with
stairs which comply with respective national regulations to
reach the working area. Unless any platform with stairs or alad-
der are available, use only handles and foot plates the machine
is equipped with. By failure to observe these rules you expose
yourself to the danger of injury by falling down of the machine.
3.1 Safety Standards at Lubrication and Maintenance
Do not use petrol, diesel oil, thinners or other ammable liquids
to clean parts of the machine. Use approved commercial sol-
vents which are non-ammable and non-toxic.
After nishing the adjusting or main-tenance check the
function of all security devices !
3.1.2 Fire regulations when changing the
working lls
• From the view point of re danger are the ammable liquids
used on the machine divided into classes of ha- zard:
III hazard class - diesel fuel
IV hazard class – mineral oils, lubricating greases, anti-
freeze mixture.
• The place for exchange the oils must be placed such way to
don’t overlap to the areas with danger explosions, re.
• It must be signed by the tables and marks with“No smoking”
signs and signs prohibiting the use of naked re.
• The manipulation area must be designed such way catch
the amount of ammable liquid equal to the capacity of the
largest vessel, transport container.
• The place must be equipped with the hand extinguis-hers
re.
• For the oil, diesel fuel manipulation, use the vessels as the
steel barrels, cans, sheet metal jugs.
• The transport vessels must be properly closed during the
storage.
• The vessels must be with only one outlet, stored always with
the outlet up and secured against the ow out and drains.
• The vessels must be marked by non-removable wri-ting
showing the contents and the ammable class.
