Das CPX−CP−Interface Typ CPX−CP−4−FB ist ausschließlich
für dieMontage inCPX−TerminalsvonFesto bestimmt. Am
CPX−CP−Interface können dievorgesehenen CP−Ventilinseln
und CP−EA−ModulevonFesto angeschlossen werden.
Hierbei sind dieangegebenen Grenzwerteder technischen
Daten einzuhalten. AusführlicheInformationen finden Sie
inder Beschreibung zum CPX−CP−Interface P.BE−CPX−CP−..
sowieinder CPX−Systembeschreibung P.BE−CPX−SYS−.. .
Warnung
SSchalten SiedieSpannung aus, bevor SieSteckver
binder zusammenstecken oder trennen (Funktions
schädigung).
SVerwenden Sienur Netzteile, dieeine sichereelektri
scheTrennung der Betriebsspannung nach IEC 742/
EN 60742/VDE 0551 mit mindestens 4kV Isolations
festigkeit gewährleisten (PELV). Schaltnetzteilesind
zulässig, wenn siediesichereTrennung im Sinne der
EN 60950/VDE 0805 gewährleisten.
SSchließen Sieeinen Erdleiter mit ausreichendem
Leitungsquerschnitt an den mit dem Erdungssymbol
gekennzeichneten Anschluss des CPX−Terminalsan.
SDas CPX−CP−Interface enthält elektrostatisch gefähr
deteBauelemente. Berühren Siedeshalb keine
Bauelemente. Beachten SiedieHandhabungsvor
schriften für elektrostatisch gefährdeteBauelemente.

3 Installationshinweise
3.1 Montage
Das CPX−CP−Interface ist ineinen Verkettungsblock des
CPX−Terminalsmontiert.

Demontage:
SSchrauben herausdrehen und CPX−CP−Interface
vorsichtigabheben.
Montage:
1. Dichtung und Dichtflächen prüfen und CPX−CP−Interface
wieder aufsetzen.
2. Schrauben so ansetzen, dass dievorgefurchten
Gewindegänge genutzt werden. Schrauben vonHand
über Kreuz anziehen (Torx T10). Anzugsdrehmoment
0,9...1,1 Nm.

3.2 Anschließen der CP−Module
Hinweis
Funktionsstörung durch unzulässige Verkabelung.
SVerwenden Siezum Anschluss der CP−Moduleam
CP−Strang diespeziellen CP−Kabel vonFesto
(TypKVI−CP−..., sieheBeschreibung zum
CPX−CP−Interface).
SBeachten Sie, dass diegesamteLeitungslänge an
einem Strang maximal 10 m betragen darf.
Sievermeiden damit:
Fehler beim Datenaustausch zwischen dem
CPX−CP−Interface und den angeschlossenen
CP−Modulen.
Anjedem CP−Anschluss können CP−Modulenach den inder
Beschreibung zum CPX−CP−Interface beschriebenen Regeln
angeschlossen werden:
1. Prüfen Sie, welcher Adressbereich für das CP−Modul
vorgesehen ist.
2. Schließen SiedieCP−Modulemit den CP−Kabelnan den
Strang an, der diesen Adressbereich zur Verfügung
stellt.
3. Fixieren SieStecker und Buchse des CP−Kabelsmit der
Überwurfmutter. Dadurch ist der elektrischeKontakt
sichergestellt.
4.Kennzeichnen Siemit Hilfeder Bezeichnungsschilder
(Typ IBS 6x10 oder IBS 9x20), an welchem Strang das
Modul angeschlossen ist.

Hinweis
Um dieSchutzart IP65/IP67 zu erreichen:
SVerschließen SieungenutzteCP−Anschlüsse und die
Save−Tastemit den entsprechenden Schutzkappen.
3.3 Strangbelegung speichern
1. Schalten SiedieSpannungsversorgung des CPX−Termi
nalssowieggf. der CP−Modulemit Lastspannungs−
anschluss ein.
2. Drücken Siemit einem kleinen Schraubendreher o. ä.
mindestens 1 sauf dieSave−Taste.
Dadurch wird dieaktuelleStrangbelegung alsSoll−
Strangbelegung im CPX−CP−Interface gespeichert. Den
CP−Modulen werden dieentsprechenden E/A−Adressen
zugeordnet.
3. Prüfen Sie, ob dieStatus−LEDs an den Modulen leuch
ten und dieStrang−LEDs (L1 ... L4) am CPX−CP−Interface
erloschen sind. Indiesem Fall sind alleCP−Modulebe
triebsbereit und diegespeicherteStrangbelegung ist
mit der aktuellen Strangbelegung identisch.
4.Schalten SiedieSpannungsversorgung des CPX−Termi
nalsausund erneut wieder ein.
5. Abhängigvom verwendeten Feldbusknoten bzw. FEC
muss ggf. der geänderteAdressbereich des CPX−CP−
Interface übernommen werden:

TheCPX−CPinterface, typeCPX−CP−4−FB isintended exclus
ively for fitting into Festo CPX terminals. Thedesignated
Festo CPvalveterminalsand CP−IO modules can becon
nected at theCPX−CPinterface.
Themaximum limitsinthetechnical specifications must
not beexceeded. Detailed informationcan befound inthe
manual for theCPX−CPinterface P.BE−CPX−CP−.. as well as
intheCPX system manual P.BE−CPX−SYS−.. .
Warning
SSwitch off thepower supply beforeconnecting or
disconnecting plugs (thiswill prevent functional
damage).
SUse only power unitswhich guarantee reliable
isolationof theoperating voltages as per IEC 742/
EN60742/VDE 0551 with at least 4kV isolation
resistance (Protected ExtraLow Voltage PELV).
Switch power packs arepermitted, providing they
guarantee reliableisolationinaccordance with
EN60950/VDE0805.
SConnect an earth conductor of sufficient cross−sec
tional area to theconnectionontheCPX terminal
marked with theearth/ground symbol.
STheCPX−CPinterface contains electrostatically sensi
tivecomponents. Do not touch theelectrical contacts
of thecomponents. Observetheregulations for
handling electrostatically sensitivecomponents.
Please note
Commissiononly aCPX terminal which has been fitted
and wired completely.

3.1 Fitting

Dismantling:
SRemovethescrewsand lift theCPX−CPinterface up
carefully.
Fitting:
1. Check theseal and sealing surfaces and refit the
CPX−CPinterface.
2. Screwsmust beinserted so that theself−boring
threadscan beused. Tighten thescrewsindiagonally
oppositesequence at first by hand (Torx T10). Tighten
ing torque0.9...1.1 Nm.

3.2 Connecting the CP modules
Please note
Malfunctiondueto improper cabling
SFor connecting theCPmodules to theCPstring, use
thespecial CPcablefrom Festo (typeKVI−CP−..., see
manual for theCPX−CPinterface).
SPlease notethat thetotal length of cableonastring
must not exceed 10 m.
You will thereby avoid:
Faultsindataexchange between theCPX−CPinter
face and theconnected CPmodules.
CPmodules can beconnected to any CPconnection
according to therules described inthemanual for the
CPX−CPinterface:
1. Check which address range isintended for theCP
module.
2. Connect theCPmodules with theCPcables to the
string which provides thisaddress range.
3. Fasten theplugand socket of theCPcablewith the
unionnut. Inthisway theelectrical contact is
guaranteed.
4.Use theidentificationlabels(typeIBS 6x10 or
IBS9x20) to indicatethestring to which themoduleis
connected.

Please note
To comply with protectionclass IP65/IP67:
SSeal unused CPconnections and theSavekey with
theappropriateprotectivecaps.
3.3 Saving the string assignment
1. Switch onthepower supply of theCPX terminal and, if
necessary, of theCPmodules using theload voltage
connection.
2. Use asmall screwdriver or similar to press theSave
key for at least 1 s.
Thiswill savethecurrent string allocationas theset
string allocationintheCPX−CPinterface. Thecorre
sponding I/O addresses areassigned to theCPmod
ules.
3. Check whether thestatusLEDs onthemodules light
up and thestring LEDs (L1 ... L4) ontheCPX−CPinter
face havegone out. If thisisthecase, all theCPmod
ules areready to operateand thesaved string assign
ment isidentical to thecurrent string assignment.
4.Switch thepower supply of theCPX terminal off and
back on.
5. Depending onfield busnodeor FEC being used, the
modified address range of theCPX−CPinterface must
beaccepted:
