Sound Box
IMPORTANT! You must remove
the light and sound box before
washing. Do not expose the light
and sound box to water. Do not
immerse the light and sound box
in water.
• Open the fastener flap on the
back of the toy and remove the
light and sound box.
• Place the toy in a pillowcase
and machine wash cold on the
gentle cycle. Use a mild
detergent. Do not use bleach.
• Tumble dry on low heat. Do not
dry clean.
• Fit the light and sound box
back into the toy and close the
fastener flap.
• If sounds or lights from this toy
become faint or stop working,
it’s time for an adult to replace
the batteries!

Battery Replacement Soothing Music and Sparkling Lights
For best performance, we recommend replacing the batteries that came
with this toy with three new alkaline batteries.

• Hug the bear’s tummy to
hear a soothing classical
selection or a traditional
children’s song.
• The bear’s nightcap lights
up with twinkling lights.
• To hear more music
selections, hug the bear
again and again.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix different types of
batteries: alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(nickel-cadmium).
• Remove the batteries during long
periods of non-use. Always
remove exhausted batteries from
the toy. Battery leakage and
corrosion can damage this toy.
Dispose of batteries safely.
• Never short circuit the
battery terminals.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are
not to be recharged.
• Only batteries of the same or
equivalent type as recommended
in the “Battery Replacement”
instructions are to be used.
• If removable rechargeable
batteries are used, they are
only to be charged under adult
supervision.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be
removed from the toy before they
are charged.
• If you use a battery charger, it
should be examined regularly for
damage to the cord, plug,
enclosure and other parts. Do not
use a damaged battery charger
until it has been properly repaired.
• Open the fastener flap on the
back of the toy.
• Loosen the screw in the battery
compartment door with a Phillips
screwdriver. (The screw will
remain in the door.)
• Lift to remove the battery
compartment door.
• Insert three “AA” (LR6) alkaline
batteries as indicated inside the
battery compartment.
Helpful Hint: We recommend
using alkaline batteries for longer
battery life.
• Replace the battery compartment
door and tighten the screw with
a Phillips screwdriver. Do not
over-tighten.
• Close the fastener flap.
