SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
Instructions must be read before starting.
All protections must be in place and inspected before the machine is started.
Beware of stones. It is the owner / user's responsibility that there is no one in
the machine's workspace, when the machine starts up.
Safety distance is minimum 50 mtr. Radius from the machine.
The driving position must not be abandoned when the machine is in operation.
The machine is designed to break down small trees, shrubs and must not be used
for anything else.
The machine must be operated by qualified users only.
When driving in built-up area must be warned of the machine hazard zone.
Lubrication, adjustment and setting of the machine may only be made when this is
stopped and the PTO is shut off. The key must be removed from the tractor, so this
cannot be started.
Please note that if running in the very dry terrain, the chains when thrown against
rocks or boulders can be causing sparks and there is a risk that it could start a fire.
Tighten bolts and check the settings after approx. 5 hours of operation.
The machine must only be launched with the flail head in its lowered position.
Power Transfer rating of the prescribed speed must not be exceeded.
When the machine is used, must the ground be cleaned of larger foreign element’s,
which may cause harm.
The rubber protection which sits behind the cutting head can be damaged and must
be replaced in time.
Chain and chain box can be damaged, and must periodically be checked at least
every 7 hours of use, and must be replaced if necessary.
If the chain must be replaced it is intended that it sits right and is long on each side
of the chain box are identical, use only one long chain that passes through the chain
box, and the length must be adjusted so that it not hurls against the side of flail head,
it is however possible to keep some excess chain inside the chain box.
There should only be used original Fransgard spare parts.
ASSEMBLE INSTRUCTIONS.
The machine will sometimes be delivered only partly assembled, so the bolts,
nuts and splitter mm. mounted on the parts of the machine where they should
be used.
There is attached strips designed to keep hydraulic hoses together (Pos.3)
between cylinders and three point lift.
Before using the machine, it is important that all moving parts are lubricated
through.

WORKING POSITION.
The machine can work out the side in a horizontal position, with a slope of about
35 ° and can work up to approximately vertical. 90 °.
The machine must only be launched when the flail head is in its lowered position.
To achieve the optimum lubrication of all moving parts in the gear unit may only work
with the machine in a vertical position in Max. 30 min. at a time, then the machine
should be lowered and run at least 30 minutes, in the horizontal position. The
machine uses the parallel mountings by means of the hydraulic, and can move
about 1,0 mtr. sideways, this provides greater freedom at work; here it is important
that you check that PTO shaft is running free in three-point lift when the machine is
shot entirely from the right.
Before starting the chains must be checked for damage and replace if necessary.
Run the machine so that it rests more on the back of flail head, than the front part.
Do not attempt to climb the machine through dense and coarse vegetation, but run
with the speed that provides the best and most effective treatment, this extends the
life of the machine and reduces the consumption of spare parts.
Checkout chain rotates c.1550 rotation at 540 RPM at the PTO.
OVERLOAD RELEASE.
At left lift suspension is machine equipped with a collision protection when the
machine must work disassembled bolt (Pos.1) which goes through the profiles and
the two strong springs will thus relieve the machine by accident. Please note that the
collision protection only works when driving forward, and we need to backtrack to the
machine must be lifted clear of obstructions.
TRANSPORT POSITION.
Conversion of the machine from working position to transport position is as follows:
The machine lifted from the ground.
Bolt passing through the profiles of collision protection shall be installed.
Lift the flail head into a vertical position, using hydraulics, and secured by closing the
lock valve (Pos.2), who sits on the large cylinder, the cutting head.
The machine can be pulled behind the tractor, by means of the parallel mountings.

LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE.
Since the machine can be subjected to excessive stress, it is important to look for loose parts, and
retighten the bolts periodically.
There must be checked for any damage to the machine, and there is no damage to parts that can be
replaced with spare parts should be done, any damage discovered must be repaired properly and
professionally correct.
After approx. 10 to 20 min. driving the belt for buckles, belts must be max. could be printed 20 mm.

contributing to the belt last longer and avoid stoppages.
When the machine is going for not to be used for a long time, the belt must be loosened.
For each 10-hour drive, lubricate PTO shaft, all moving joints and those with "grease man"
designated lubrication points.
Gear oil levels must be checked using the locator pin seated on the top of the angle gear. Angle gear
is from factory filled up with 2.7 Ltr W80/90 SAE gear oil.
The oil must be changed after about 10 hours of operation and then after around 100 regular hours
of operation, and at least once a year.
CHANGING CHAINS.
The machine is factory equipped with 10mm. chains, however, can be used 13mm. chains if desired,
this requires that the 4 pcs. fittings which contain the chains in the chain box must be replaced with
fittings with 13mm. slot.
When the 4 pcs. M16 locking nuts and M16 x100 bolts are dismantled, can the lower washer of the
chain box, be removed, then remove the bracket that holds the chains, check washers and fittings for
damage and replace if necessary, use new lock nuts, and bolts (M16 x 100 - 10.9) if they are
damaged, it is recommended to use 2 pcs. long lateral chain, (2 pcs. chains not 4 pcs.).
Use only the manufacturer's recommended type of chain.
Ordering spare parts
Part order shall contain the following information:
1. Engine type and serial no and vintage.
2. Part number - description - possibly. dimensions and the number of how many of each.
