contact with re or heating part, it will
create harmful gas and there is risk
of re. Service personnel are required
to carefully read the user manual
and the safety manual "Repair and
maintenance - units with R290" at

Installation and operating instructions
Product instructions
The dehumidier is used to remove excessive
moisture from the air. The reduction in relative
humidity protects buildings and their contents
from the negative effects of excess humidity.
The dehumidier is portable. Protection class:
IPX2.
The environmentally friendly R290 is used
as the refrigerant. R290 has no damaging
inuence on the ozone layer (ODP), a negligible
greenhouse effect (GWP) and is available
worldwide.
Special precautions must be taken into
consideration due to the high ammability of
the refrigerant. The dehumidier is CE marked
and complies to EN 60335-1, EN 60335-2-40, EN
62233, EN 55014-1, EN 55014-2, EN 61000-3-2
and EN 61000-3-3.

aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental

appliance or perform user maintenance.
• The unit is designed only for use with R290
(propane) gas as the designated refrigerant.
• The refrigerant loop is sealed. Only a
qualied technician should attempt to
service.
• Do not discharge the refrigerant into the
atmosphere. R290 (propane) is ammable
and heavier than air.
• The gas rst collects in low areas but can be
circulated by the fans.
• If propane gas is present or even suspected,
do not allow untrained personnel to attempt
to nd the cause.
• The propane gas used in the unit has no
odor. The lack of smell does not indicate a
lack of escaped gas.
• If a leak is detected, immediately evacuate
all persons from the premises, ventilate
the premises and contact the local re
department to advise them that a propane
leak has occurred.
• Do not let any persons back into the premises
until the qualied service technician has
arrived and that technician advises that it is
safe to return.
• No open ames, cigarettes or other possible
sources of ignition should be used inside or
in the vicinity of the units.
• After transport or if the unit has been tilted
(e.g. during cleaning), leave it for an hour
before connecting it to the mains supply.

Before operation
• Place the dehumidier in an upright position
on a stable, at surface.
• The mains voltage of the dehumidier is 220-
240VAC and must be connected to an earthed
outlet socket.
• Ensure the tank is correctly tted, if the tank
is full or not in place, the Full tank indicator
lights up and the dehumidier stops working.
• Turn the unit on and run as per instructions
on following pages.
• For minimum distances, see diagram.
Continuous drainage
In general, water will be collected by tank, if you
want continuous drainage, please do steps as
follows (see gure 3).
1. Remove the water tank.
2. Insert the drainage pipe with Ø13mm (1/2”)
inner diameter through the drainage outlet.
3. Put the water tank back. Make sure the
pipe is going downhill, and is not blocked or
kinked.
Warning
• Failure to abide by this warning could result
in an explosion, death, injury and property
damage.
• Any person who is involved with working on
or breaking into a refrigerant circuit should
hold a current valid certicate from an
industry-accredited assessment authority,
which authorizes their competence to handle
refrigerants safely in accordance with an
industry, recognized assessment specication.
• Servicing shall only be performed
as recommended by the equipment
manufacturer. Maintenance and repair
requiring the assistance of other skilled

inammable, or explosive objects.
• Do not use means to accelerate the
defrosting process or to clean, other than
those recommended by the manufacturer.
• The unit shall be stored in a room without
continuously operation sources (for example:
open ames, an operating gas appliance or
an operating electric heater).
• The unit shall be stored so as to prevent
mechanical damage from occurring. Do not
pierce or burn, even after use.
• The unit shall be protected from physical
damage and shall be installed, operated and
stored in a room with a oor area larger than
4 m2.
• Compliance with national gas regulations
shall be observed.
• Keep any required ventilation openings clear
of obstruction.

Operation - settings
Start up
Connect the power cord and press the power
button once to turn on the unit. The unit
runs by default mode on manual continuous
dehumidication with high fan speed, the On/
off indicator is lit.
• Press the power button to turn off the unit,
the fan continues a few seconds to blow out
the hot air.
• When the unit is in standby mode, the On/off
indicator will ash slowly.
Timer function
Setting desired humidity
Press the timer button to set the time of
operation, between 0 and 24 hours. The time
increases by one hour with each press of the
button.
• The timer setting is cancelled if the timer
button is pressed twice within 5 seconds.
• The timer setting is cancelled if the unit is
switched off and then switched on again.
Press the humidity button to set the humidity
from CO-30%-35%-40%-45%-50%-55%-60%-
65%-70%-75%-80%-CO. CO means continuous
dehumidication regardless of current
humidity.
Setting of fan speed (low/high).
Press the fan speed button to select low or high
fan speed.
• Fan speed button is invalid in Laundry drying
mode and Defrost mode.
Child lock
Press the laundry drying button to activate
Laundry drying function, the unit runs in
continuous dehumidication with high
fan speed for 6 hours then switches off
automatically.
• Fan speed button and timer button are
invalid.
Press the fan speed button for 2s to lock all
buttons, a beeping sound is heard. Repeat the
operation to unlock the buttons.
• The child lock can be set at standby mode
and working mode but cannot be activated
when the water tank is full.

Operation - settings
Too low temperature - Defrost
When the ambient temperature is too low, the
unit will switch to defrost mode, running with
high fan speed and no dehumidication (the
compressor is switched off).
Full water tank
Memory Function
A. Unplug the power cord or cut the power, and
then reconnect the unit to the power supply.
The dehumidier will continue to run in the
same mode as before the shutdown. The timer
setting will be kept.
B. Press the power button to switch off the unit
and then press the power button to switch it
back on. The dehumidier will continue to run
in the same mode as before the shutdown. The
timer setting will be cancelled.
C. Press the power button to switch off the unit
and unplug the power cord, then reconnect
the power supply and switch it back on. The
dehumidier will run in factory preset mode
with continuous dehumidication.
The unit will enter standby mode when the
water tank is full or not inserted properly. After
the tank is emptied and correctly inserted, the
unit will continue in set mode.

Packaging
Packaging materials are chosen with
consideration to the environment and are
therefore recyclable.
Handling of product at end of working
life
This product may contain substances necessary
for the functionality of the product but
potentially dangerous for the environment. The
product should not be disposed of mixed with
general household waste but delivered to a
designated collection point for environmental
recycling. Please contact the local authority
for further details of your nearest designated
collection point.
Cleaning
Switch off the unit and remove the plug from
the socket before cleaning.
Housing
Clean the housing with soft, dry cloth. If the
unit is extremely dirty, use a mild cleaning
agent. Wipe the unit with a slightly damp cloth.
Never spray the unit with water.
Filter
When used regularly, the lter may become
clogged with dust and particles. Therefore,
the lter should be cleaned at least every two
weeks. In dusty environments it should be
cleaned more often.
1. Remove the lter holder and take out the
lter. Clean the lter with a vacuum cleaner
or soapy water no hotter than 40°C.
2. Rinse and dry the lter completely before
putting it back in the unit.
3. Do not expose the lter to sunlight.
Storage
If the dehumidier will not be used for a long
period of time, do the following:
1. Remove the plug from the socket and empty
the tank, let the tank and the dehumidier
dry completely, this may take a couple of
days.
2. Clean the lter.
3. Check that the dehumidier is clean and in
good condition before the storage.
4. Protect the unit with a sheet of plastic.
5. Store the dehumidier in a dust-free location,
out of direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

dehumidication capacity is reduced.

dehumidies but is in continuous

The dehumidier
blows out hot air. The dried air is passed over heating coils before it is blown into the room as part of
the dehumidifying process.
This is normal, a dehumidier is
not an air cooler.
The display does not
show the set humidity. This is normal. The display shows the current humidity, not the set point. Press the humidity control button once to see the set
humidity.
There is water on the
oor.
The dehumidier has been moved with
its water tank lled or the water tank has
been removed carelessly.
Empty the water tank before
moving the dehumidier. Be
careful when removing the water
tank.
The unit's sound level
has increased. The lter is clogged or the unit is placed on an uneven surface. Clean the lter or put the unit on a at surface.
The unit does not
work.
The power is not connected. Insert the plug into the wall
outlet and push the ON button.
The dehumidication
capacity is too low.
The unit has not been working long
enough.
Keep the unit running.
The room is too big. Use several units or a
dehumidier with a greater
capacity.
The water tank is full. Empty the tank.
There is too much ventilation. Reduce ventilation, close doors
and windows.
The lter is clogged. Clean the lter.
The tank is not correctly inserted. Position the tank correctly.
Ambient temperature or humidity is
not within the recommended operating
ranges.
The air does not pass freely through the
unit.
Make sure the air inlet and outlet
are not obstructed.
Contact Frico Technical Support. The water tank is broken.
The continuous drainage is not working
correctly. Check that the hose is installed
correctly and that the water
drains away freely.
Recommended operating ranges
for SUN12 are 8-35°C, 35-80 %
RH.
The set humidity is higher than the
current humidity. Set the humidity lower than current humidity.
If the fault cannot be rectied, please contact a qualied service technician.
