このたびは、弊社の LAN カード(以降、本製品)をお買い求めいただきまして、誠にありがとうございます。
本書は、本製品に添付の『取扱説明書』の追記事項を記載しております。

以下のサーバ本体のユーザーズガイドに｢PG-1863/1863L｣の搭載条件（搭載スロット位置、最大搭載可能枚

・スイッチ・ハブの別ポートを使用してみてください。
・ネットワークが無通信状態の可能性があります。通信相手からの
ログインを試してください。
■ Windows2000/2003 用ドライバについて
『Onboard/PG-18xx/28xx/PG-LND10x LAN Driver V11.2』以降のドライバを使用するようにしてください。 最
新ドライバについては弊社のインターネット情報ページ（http://primeserver.fujitsu.com/primergy/）の『ダウンロ
ード』を参照ください。
なお、PG-1863/1863LのWindows 2000 Server、Windows Server 2003上で表示されるカード名称は以下に
なります。

2. システム環境の確認および対象ディストリビューションへのアップデートについて
ご使用のシステム環境によりディストリビューションのアップデート手順が異なります。
2.1～2.2 の中からご使用のシステム環境に対応する手順に従って、アップデート作業を実施してください。
2.1 Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES (v.3 for x86)の場合
1) システム環境の確認について
以下の手順でシステム環境の確認を実施してください。
ログイン操作
ログイン画面にて、root でログインします。
システム環境の確認
以下のコマンドを実行して、出力結果を確認してください。
# cat /etc/issue
※確認したシステム環境が以下より古い場合は、2)の手順を実施してください。なお、同じまたは
新しい場合は、2）の手順は実施する必要はありません。
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 8)
もしくは、
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 8)
2) アップデート手順について
弊社ホームページよりアップデートキットをダウンロードし、アップデートキットに同梱されている手
順に従って最新のアップデート版数までアップデートを実施してください。
アップデートにつきましては、古いものから順番に実施する必要があります。

3) ネットワークの再設定について
LAN カードの増設を行った場合、オンボード LAN のネットワークインタフェース名が eth0 から eth1
あるいは、eth2、eth3…に変更となる場合があります。
この場合、再度ネットワークの設定を行ってください。

2.2 Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES (v.4 for x86)または Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES (v.4 for EM64T)の場合
1) システム環境の確認について
以下の手順でシステム環境の確認を実施してください。
ターミナルの起動
ログイン画面にて、root でログインし、X-Window の画面で右クリックし、表示されたメニューから
「端末を開く」を選択します。
システム環境の確認
以下のコマンドを実行して、出力結果を確認してください。
# cat /etc/issue
※確認したシステム環境が以下より古い場合は、2)の手順を実施してください。なお、同じまたは
新しい場合は、2）の手順は実施する必要はありません。
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 4)
もしくは、

2) アップデート手順について
弊社ホームページよりアップデートキットをダウンロードし、アップデートキットに同梱されている手順に
従って最新のアップデート版数までアップデートを実施してください。
アップデートは古いものから順番に実施する必要があります。

Orange flashing Identity. Use the “Identify Adapter” button in
Intel PROSet to control blinking.
- When ACT/LNK LED does not light/blink.
･Check that the driver is installed.
･Check the connection with switch and hub.
･Use another port of switch and hub.
･Network may not be in the status of inactive transmission. Try to log in from the
other line.
■The driver for Windows2000/2003 systems
“Onboard/PG-18xx/28xx/PG-LNF10x LAN Driver V11.2” or later is required for PG-1853/1853L. For latest
information, please refer to the PRIMERGY website (http://primergy.fujitsu.com/).
The name of the PG-1863/1863L LAN card displayed by the Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003

2. The confirmation of the system environment and the update to object distribution
The update procedures of distribution are different by system environment of use.
Please carry out update work while obeying a procedure corresponding to system environment of use from
2.1-2.2.
2.1 Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS/ES (v.3 for x86)
1) About the confirmation of the system environment
Please carry out confirmation of system environment in the following procedures.
(1) Login
Pleaseloginthesystemwithroot.
(2) The confirmation of the system environment
Please execute the following commands, and confirm the output result.
# cat /etc/issue
*Please carry out 2) procedures only if the result is older than the following.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 8)
or
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 8)
2) About the update procedure
Please download the very latest update kit from our homepage, and carry out update to the latest
update version according to a procedure bundled with an update kit.
About update, please carry it out from an old version in turn.

3) About the reset of network
When you built more LAN cards, there is the case that network interface name of on board LAN change eth1
or eth2, eth3…from eth0.
In this case, please set a network again.

1) About the confirmation of the system environment
Please carry out confirmation of system environment in the following procedures.
Start of terminal
Please log in the system on the login screen with root .
Next, right-click on the X-Window screen and select [Open Terminal] from the displayed menu.
The confirmation of the system environment
Please execute the following commands, and confirm the output result.
# cat /etc/issue
*Please carry out 2) procedures only if the result is older than the following.
