Traditional – Innovative – Flexible
Traditionally, GeBE has always put an emphasis on high flexibility
in the design of devices. With the GeBE-FLASH®, we developed
a product that can be adapted to individual OEM applications.
The GeBE-FLASH®is ideal for space-sensitive and mobile
applications, e.g. as a holster or belt printer incl. pocket.
Receipt printing, issuing of bills, and protocol printing for mobile
measuring tasks are typical applications for this small printer.
Easy Handling – Low Weight – Individual Design
For mobile applications, the weight plays an essential roll –
and the GeBE-FLASH®is extremely light.
Convenient paper handling makes frequent paper roll exchange
easy, so a smaller roll size is used. This was the prerequisite
for a compact housing with light weight and an elegant design.
Custom versions, like private labeling, different housing color etc.,
can be provided even for small order quantities.

Best Print Results – Appealing Design Functionality
For attractive, individually designed receipts, there are four different
character sets (similar to IBM-II code table 850) to choose from.
Other character sets, such as cyrillic, or custom versions are also
available. Text and graphics files (advertising text and company
logos) that can be printed through short commands can be stored
in the 8 KB EEPROM (optional 32KB). The printer independently
generates four different bar codes. Custom versions are also
available.

For Stationary or Mobile Applications
For the portable, battery operated industrial printer GeBE-FLASH®,
there are two charging methods available: the LC standard charge
via included wall power supply, and the HQ charge from a 10-28
VDC fixed voltage source, such as a car cigarette lighter adapter.
Even independent from a power supply, these versatile printers
work absolutely reliably.

Controlled Reliability – Menu Guided Handling
The program flow is monitored by a watchdog. Sensors monitor
the paper supply, the power voltage, and the temperature at print
head and battery. With the appropriate paper, the GeBE-FLASH®
can be operated in temperatures between -10C and 50C.
LEDs are realiably indicating the functional status, as well as any
errors that might occur. The operating instructions can be printed
out by pressing a key. Using the menu selection, different printer
parameters like the active interface, the data format, or the
blackening can be set.
Easy Change of Print Parameters – OPD Menue®
No more inconvenient accessing of DIP switches or programming
through aterminal program! With the OPD Menue®(On Paper Dis-
play) that is operated through only two buttons, the most important
settings of the printer can be changed quickly at any time. In
combination with the immediately visible printout, the OPD Menue®
represents a programming tool that is very easy to handle.

Modern Communication – Multiple Interface Flexibility
The printers come with serial RS232, USB, infrared interfaces,
or with Bluetooth®wireless technology. Windows printer drivers
are available, and for IR interfaces, the simple, unidirectional
HP protocol, the completely open GeBE IR protocol,
and the IrDA-Ir-LPT or IrCom 9-wire protocol are supported.
Automatic Power Saving Mode – Highest Efficiency
About 50 m of paper can be printed with one full battery charge.
This level of efficiency is achieved through the particularly
sophisticated Power management. In the Auto Power Off mode
the interfaces remain available so that data can be further received.
A transmission of dummy characters will reactivate the printer
from these automatic, energy saving power down modes.

GeBE-FLASH®- with Magnetic Card Reader
The standard NiMH battery pack has a capacity of 1,500 mAh.
On request, the GeBE-FLASH®can alternatively be equipped
with LiION batteries.
Version GPT-4379-FLASH-HP is operated with AA batteries.
