lead to eye injury. A direct look into the beam
(even from greater distance) can cause damage
to your eyes.
•Do not aim laser beam at animals or persons.
•Laser plane should be set up above eye level of
persons.
•Use the instrument for measuring surface tem-
perature only.
•Keep instrument away from children.
•Do not use in aggressive or explosive environ-
ment.
CARE AND CLEANING
Handle measuring instruments with care.
Clean with soft cloth only after any use. If
necessary damp cloth with some water.
If instrument is wet clean and dry it carefully.
Pack it up only if it is perfectly dry.
Transport in original container / case only.

For non-contact temperature measurements
with laser dot.
Quick measurements of surfaces which are
difficult to reach, moving or rotating objects,
electrified parts, chemicals or hot objects.
The energy reflected from the surface measured
is transferred into a temperature reading.
The instrument is not suitable for measuring
surface temperature of shiny or polished sur-
faces (see emissivity). The instrument cannot
measure through glass or other transparent ma-
terials. It will measure the temperature of the
glass instead.
Steam, dust and smoke can prevent from exact
measurement as they would obstruct the in-
strument’s optic.

REPLACE BATTERY
When battery status indicator shows low bat-
tery power switch off the instrument and open
the battery cover by pressing the little knob on
the handle. Remove the old battery and replace
with a new one. Take care to correct polartiy.

þi deschideþi capacul bateriei prin apãsarea
butonului mic asupramânerului.
Scoateþi bateria veche þi înlocuiþi cu una nouã.
Aveþi grijãpentru coretia polaritatii.
Puneti la loc capacul.

The distance:spot ratio is important for evalu-
ation of the area measured. The larger the dis-
distance from the object the larger the area
measured. Switch on the laser pointer for in-
creasing target accuracy.
Note:
The target must be larger than the instrument’s
spot size. The smaller the target the shorter the
distance should be.

EMISIVITATE: EMISSIVITY
The emissivity is a term used to describe the
energy-emitting characteristics of a material.
Most (90 % of typical applications) organic
materials and painted or oxidized surfaces have
an emissivity of 0,95 (pre-set in the unit). Inac-
curate reading will result from measuring shiny
or polished metal surfaces. To compensate,
cover the surface to be measured with masking
tape.
The setting of the appropriate emissivity for
the object to be measured will increase the
accuracy of the measuring result.

Emisivitatea este un termen folosit pentru a
descrie energia emisa caracteristica a unui
material. Cele mai multe (90% a aplicaþii tipice)
ecologice materialelor si suprafetelor vopsite sau
oxidate au o emisie a 0,95 (presetat în aparat).
Citirile inexacte vor rezulta din suprafete lucioase
de mãsurare sau suprafeþe metalice lustruite.
Pentru a compensa, acoperãsuprafaþa care
urmeazãsãfie mãsuratãcu bandãmascare.
Stabilirea emisivitatii corespunzãtoare pentru
obiectul care urmeazãsãfie mãsurat va creþte
acurateþea rezultatului de mãsurare.

Measurements
Aim at the target to be measured and pull and
hold the trigger. By pulling the trigger the in-
strument automatically switches on. The dual
laser spots will show the measuring target (if
laser is switched on).
The temperature measured will be displayed;
during measurement process SCAN will be dis-
played. When trigger is released the tempera-
ture measured will be displayed for another 7
sec.; HOLD will be displayed. If the trigger is
not used for 7 sec. the instrument will automa-
tically switch off.
If the measuring range is exceeded -> „---“
will be displayed.
Note:
Have the instrument adapted to the ambient
temperature if it is taken to a new locaton.
If extended measurements of high tempera-
tures are carried out the measuring distance
should be longer as high temperatures will heat
up the instrument and lead to inaccurate results.

Adaptati instrumentul la mediul ambiant în cazul în
care temperatura este luatãîntr-o locaþie nouã.
Dacãmãsurãtorile extins de temperaturi ridicate
sunt efectuate, distanþa de mãsurare trebuie sãfie
mai mare la temperaturi ridicate putand duce la
rezultate inexacte.
Porniþi instrumentului prin tragerea pe tragaci, þi
apãsaþi MODE pânãcând unul dintre simbolurile
MAX, MIN, DIF, AVG apare pe ecran.
Selectati functia ceruta cu butoanele UP þi
confirmaþi DOWN þi trãgând pe tragaci .
Alternativ, apãsaþi MODE pentru a merge la
functia urmatoare.
