cleantheagitatorblades(34)andtheoutsideof
theshaft.

1.DisconnecttheVFDpowersupply.
2.Removethetwosetscrews(17)andthetwo
motormountingplatescrews(32).Removethe
motorassemblyfromtheback-gearhousing
3.Ifyouragitatorhasasiphonkit,dosteps2
through4inCleaningtheAgitatorShaft—
ModelswithSiphonKit,page13andthen
continuewithstep3below.Ifyouragitatordoes
nothaveasiphonkit,proceedtostep3below.
4.Raiseandsupportthedrumcoverabovethe
drumhighenoughtoreachtheunderside.
5.Removethethreehexheadscrewsholdingthe
agitatortothedrumcover.
6.Raisetheagitatorhousing4to6in.(100to150
mm)abovethedrumcover,andsupportitatthat
heightwithblocks.
7.Tightlygriptheagitatorshaft(6)withaclampto
preventtheshaftfromfallingintothedrum.
8.Removethetwoshortbolts(11)andthetwolong
bolts(19)thatholdtheupperhousing(2)andthe
lowerhousing(1)together.Carefullylifttheupper
housingstraightupoffofthelowerhousing.
NOTE:Beforedoingthefollowingstep,besure
theagitatorshaftiswellsecured.Seestep6.

removeitfromtheagitatorshaft.

5.Carefullyloweringitstraightdown,repositionthe
upperhousing(2)onthelowerhousing(1).
6.Replacethetwoshortbolts(11)andthetwolong
bolts(19)thatholdtheupperhousingandthe
lowerhousingtogether,andtorquetheboltsto
75in-lb(8.5N-m).
7.Removetheblockssupportingtheagitator
housing,andrepositiontheagitatoronthedrum
cover.
8.Threadthethreehexheadscrewsupthrough
thedrumcoverandintotheagitator,andtorque
themto75in-lb(8.4N-m).
