The Granule Flexi is a Granule potwashing machine – a potwashing machine for commercial kitchens that is
designed for washing wares like pots and pans.
Basic conception
a) the equipment, to which the CE Mark has been afxed, complies with the Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC.

Granule Flexi is a Granule potwashing ma-
chine – a potwashing machine for commer-
cial kitchens that is designed for washing/
cleaning pots and pans.
This manual is your guide for the correct
installation and use of the Granule Flexi
potwashing machine.
GRANULDISK recommends that you study
the manual thoroughly to be sure that the
machine is installed and used correctly
and safely.
Ensure that the manual is always available
during the whole life of the machine.
GRANULDISK accepts no responsibility
for damage to the equipment or other
damage or injury caused by not following
the directions in this manual.
The plastic in the Granules is approved for
use in conjunction with food.
The machine uses hot water. Avoid contact
with the skin as there is a risk for scalding.
There is a risk for slipping if Granules are
left on the floor.
Formaldehyde, which is dangerous if
inhaled, may be formed if the Granules
catch fire.
Regarding the handling of detergent in the
manual, please see the manufacturer’s
instructions.

2. Operating
Start up
1. Fill the machine with the right amount of Power-
Granules from the Granule Collector.
2. Close the drain valve (picture 1).
3. Switch on the main electrical switch.
Filling with water
1. Close the doors
2. Press the Confirm (1) button in order to fill the
wash tank.

3. The programme selection diodes flash out of
sequence with the diodes for washing with or
without Granules during filling.

4. Filling and heating take about 15 minutes (if hot
water connection, +55°C, water pressure 1-6 bar
with 15 litre flow when magnetic valve is opened).
For optional cold water connection (+10 to 12°C),
filling and heating take about 30 minutes. If the
correct temperature has not been attained in the
wash tank after filling, the following message is
displayed:

Preparing utensils
Scrape or rinse off all loose food remains before loading
the utensils (picture 3).

Loading utensils
All utensils must be loaded upside down – the dirty
side facing the spray nozzles.
Removing the insert
The inserts can be removed. To remove the insert;
1. Draw the insert out as far as it will go
2. Tilt the insert by lifting it straight up. Pull out.
Please see pictures 4 and 5.
GD 672 Insert for containers (13465)
GN1/1, 2/3, ½ and 1/3 containers can be washed
with the divider lowered.

GD 673 Flexible Insert (13820)
Any dishware, with the inside facing downwards,
can be placed in this fitting and the fastening frame
is then lowered over. The rubber bands ensure that
items do not move during washing. The rubber
bands can break because of wear against sharp
edges and are quite simple to replace.
NB! Items of the same depth should be placed on
the same side to ensure that they are all properly
held in place.

GD 647 Insert for lids and trays (6001147)
12 lids, trays or similar items with a maximum
depth of 20 mm are washed with this insert.
NB! Because of how the lids and trays are loaded in
this fitting it is only suitable for lightly soiled dish-
ware.

GD 675 Insert for containers and large pots
(13463)
All containers in the Gastronorm series from small
1/9 to large 2/1 as well as medium-sized and large
pots can be washed in this insert.

Control Panel
1. Confirm button is used to answer “yes” to a
question shown in the display window.
2. STOP button
This button stops all ongoing activities in the
machine and resets certain alarms.

Start and Operation
1. Press the Confirm button (1)
• Iftemperatureislowerthan65°Cinwashtankat
the time of the first start, once the wash tank has
been filled, the machine will continue heating.
• Washingattoolowtemperatureincreasesthe
risk of foaming and the items not being hygieni-
cally clean.
• Reprogrammingmaybecarriedoutbyauthorised
personnel only.
2. Select washing with or without Granules (6) or (7).
For slightly soiled pans or specific items with
Granule “traps” (i.e perforated containers), please
choose without Granules. Normal and heavy soiled
pots and pans, please choose the powerful Gran-
ule cycles to blast the utensils clean.
3. Select required wash time (3), (4) or (5)
Eco 2 min, 30 s (with Granules),
1 min, 30 s (without Granules)
Short 4 min, 40 s (with Granules),
3 min, 40 s (without Granules)
+ 1 minute with steam reduction
Normal 6 min, 40 s (with Granules),
5 min, 40 s (without Granules)
+ 1 minute with steam reduction
4. When the light goes out, the wash programme is
complete. The display now shows the last pro-
gramme run, e.g.;
5. Keep the doors closed if you are not running another
wash programme straight away. It saves energy and
reduces evaporation from the wash tank.

NB! The doors can not be opened before the wash
programme has finished and the programme
buttons light (3), (4) or (5) has gone out.
Stopping the machine while in operation
• Switchtowashingwithwater(6)forabout30
seconds in order to rinse off all Granules. Then
press STOP (2)
• Inemergency;JustpressSTOP(2)
NB! Utensils may have remains of detergent and
should be washed again before they are taken out
of the machine. Never drain an emergency stopped
machine! (Granules left in the pump without water
will jam the pump impeller.)
Inspecting the pots and pans
• Visiblycheckthepotsandpansaftereach
programme.
• TomakesurenoGranulesareleft.Pleaseturnall
washware (baskets, pans etc) upside down,
before taking the items out of the machine.
• RemoveanyGranulesthatmaybestuckin
corners, sharp angles and other inaccessible
places (Picture 17).
